Everyone: the beatles were absolute terrors in hamburg, when they weren't on stage they were having sex, taking drugs and causing havoc!!!!

They were never any trouble... just nice, quiet, well behaved lads. They didn't even smoke then. They'd sit and play draughts or go upstairs for a game of ping-pong with my daughter Monica. We had a library as well... they liked reading, but said they couldn't read very easily where they were staying. They'd come in about eleven in the morning and stay until three or four in the afternoon. They'd be quite subdued.
