I guess so, I just can’t help but to feel like it’s already too late. There’s really no chance of us getting back together… And I just brought up something completely pointless that made you upset. Maybe we should just ignore everything that happened between us today. Maybe I shouldn’t have came back… Maybe we shouldn’t talk either… I think it’d help us get over each other faster. I don’t think there’s anyone better than you, Rose. You’re the greatest girl I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet and date. I guess not…

You’re probably right. It’s been too long since we broke up, and maybe it’ll always be like this for some reason. I’ll always love you, but I just won’t be in love with you. I think that’s the smartest idea. But don’t say that you shouldn’t have came back, because this is your home too. The island’s big enough for the both of us, yeah? There is, your girl is out there somewhere. You haven’t met her yet, but you will. Once you do, you’ll be saying “Rose told me so”.

It is partly my fault, though. Don’t try to convince me otherwise… I mean, if I hadn’t brought it up, we wouldn’t be in this position. You wouldn’t even be thinking about it. Funny, how that worked, right? It just showed us how not over each other we are… You’ll get over me, though. I mean, if it was meant to be, we’d still be together… But we’re not.

But the topic is unavoidable. If you felt like that, it was bound to come up. It’s better now… before it’s actually too late, right? Yeah. Life can be ironic at the most random times. I really hope so, but then again, I’ve been hoping for a long time. I’ve just never said it aloud. Don’t worry. You’ll meet someone far better than I ever was, and you’ll be okay. Great, even. Stop apologizing, okay? It’s not your fault. It’s not your fault I’m terrified that I feel like this. To be honest, I was sort of hoping that what we just did would show that I’m over you… but it didn’t. Logan, I can’t go out with anyone when I still love someone else.

I know. I feel the same way. But what if we find out one day, and then do it all over again? The first time was hard enough, I don’t think I would be able to go through that for a second time. I’m sorry… but I haven’t actually gone out with anyone after you.
