How do you prevent razor burn from appearing on your ass? I've tried everything & nothing seems to work.
Here’s my shaving process… This is mostly the “stripper technique” with some modifications I made on my own.
1. Exfoliate thoroughly
2. Wash area with Hibiclens (chlorhexidine, available at a drug store) and let air dry
3. Apply coconut oil to area generously (or baby oil)
4. Without rinsing, apply shave gel (I use HeadSlick or Aveeno)
5. Using a 2 blade razor (I use the Dollar Shave Club Humble Twin) with a brand new blade, gently and slowly shave the area while being careful not to shave the same spot multiple times. A light touch is key here; let the blades do the work.
6. Reapply coconut oil (or baby oil) and gently touch up any areas that need it using a brand new disposable razor (2 blades or less)
7. Rinse and pat dry
8. Splash rubbing alcohol on the shaved area (oww).. this kills any bacteria that are laying inside your freshly shorn pores. If you do only one step in this process this is the one. It should be 100% alcohol or Tend Skin
9. Make a pass with an alum stick (available on Amazon, I use Gentleman Jon) or a white anti perspirant like Dove Men Care
I treat any razor burn with Tend Skin, which you can get at most drug stores or Amazon… it’s pretty expensive, so an alternative is to use the Stridex red pads (that contain AHA).
Hope that’s helpful…
