The Perfect Day At The Atrea
The Perfect Day At The Atrea
By Logan Hinton
Perfection doesn’t exist in this world we live in but we would all like to hope for it and my Job at the Atrea inn in Amarillo is no different in its hope for perfection. The motel is a newly remodeled property ever growing as one the best places to stay while visiting Amarillo. There are three shifts that are worked here at the motel morning, Midday, and overnight. With these shifts, the different tasks must be completed for the Atrea to run smoothly and efficiently. When these things are done I can say perfection does exist as far as in the world of the Atrea inn so I will explain what the perfect day at the Atrea looks like shift by shift starting with the shift I work normally night shift and explaining what the motel is trying to accomplish.
My normal night at the Atrea starts at eleven o’clock at night, and not much going on as far as guests to check in. Ideally, this is the best time to put in the grunt work that nobody gets to see and the dirty jobs nobody wants to do get done. In a perfect world, the night auditor me should be able to clean, dust, and take care of any needs found throughout the day since the night shift is the slowest shift of them all. Without many guests to check in, these tasks should be easily completed with plenty of time for the night shift to prepare breakfast for that evening's guests. With that being said the night shift is very key to the dream Atrea inn has set for itself but only one small piece to its whole.
Atrea Inn’s perfect day really gets going during its morning shift. This is the shift where the motel gets its most feedback and interaction with its guests. Rather than a grab-and-go breakfast, the Atrea provides a Hot breakfast in a beautiful lobby where it can be enjoyed. Once all guests are checked out it's time for the housekeeping and maintenance staff to put it all back together preferably with no issues. Meaning future guests can have the same great experience as the guests before them. The Day shift really has to be the backbone of Atrea’s perfect day.
Whereas the day shift is the backbone of Atrea’s perfect day The midday shift has to be the heart of the perfect day. The Middle of the day is when the motel gets its most check-ins and sees the most guests. On a perfect day, each guest that walks in the Atrea’s doors will be greeted warmly with a smile and an even warmer freshly baked chocolate chip cookie. Each guest should be made to feel like they are staying at a vacation home where every need is met and any inconvenience is fixed immediately. Atrea Inn tries to go above and beyond for its guests like they were part of the family and this is definitely why we think of this shift as the heart of our perfect day.
Nobody and no business is perfect but Atrea of Amarillo sure is thriving to be that perfect getaway out of town or just the stop along the journey. I believe the Atrea stands with some of the best places to stay in Amarillo and will always have its eyes on perfection for every guest in every way possible

A Night with Atrea Inn
A Night with Atrea Inn
By Logan Hinton
My ten-year High school reunion was this past weekend which I wasn’t thrilled about initially at all. Seeing people I barely talked to ten years ago and having to pretend to be interested in small talk of memories long ago. Don’t get me wrong there were people I was excited to see but I was looking for any excuse to leave since the covid shutdowns so my class reunion was going to have to be it. I packed my bag the night before knowing I was gonna forget something but this way I could get on the road after work with Amarillo being a two-hour drive away.
Work the day before the reunion was no picnic I was slammed with extra work orders which means I got off work later than normal but no big deal it was the weekend finally and the drive to Amarillo isn't that bad. Before leaving the office called the hotel where I would be staying to let them know I would be arriving later than expected. I won’t say anything but the hotel informed me that my reservation would be canceled since I couldn’t make it by the last check-in time. I was not happy about but I calmed down and searched my phone for hotel information in Amarillo when I came across a small but beautiful motel called Atrea inn. I called them and was greeted over the phone wonderfully by a lady named Shawna she informed me that a late check-in was possible as long as I arrived by five in the morning which was no problem I was only two hours away but getting into town by eleven like the other place wasn’t gonna happen.
I arrived in Amarillo shortly after eleven only to be pulled over by one of Amarillo’s finest officers for a broken tail light. Luckily I was let off with a warning it had already been a long day and a ticket was something I didn't need in my life at this point in the day.  I finally reach the Atrea inn where I was surprised as I walked in the lobby was well let and looked exactly like the photos online. A nice gentleman was working the desk not the woman I spoke to on the phone earlier. Next to the desk was an assortment of wines, Cheeses, and fruit. Like wow, who does that is exactly what I thought the man working the desk let me know that the hotel does that every Friday night for its guests which I thought was amazing. My check-in was fast and friendly something you don’t see at small motels like this one so I was impressed, to say the least with the way my day had been going. I get to my room which was conveniently right next to the lobby on the first floor which never happens especially with how late I came in. Finally getting settled in I notice I forgot my toothbrush like I figured I would call down to the lobby to see if the hotel carried any which they did and the front desk brought it to my room talk about service.
The Next morning started rather early enough that I was able to come down and have breakfast which I wasn't expecting them to even have with the hotel being such a small property. The food was delicious which was even more of a surprise I had biscuits and gravy with a muffin and banana. Went back to my room and got myself ready for the day and my reunion that evening. I proceed to the reunion that night which I will say was the most memorable time I’ve had in a while but did have to end early because one of my classmates who had more than their fair share of alcoholic beverages and ended my night by spilling punch all over me. Returning to the hotel I was greeted by a new face this time a young lady named Jennifer who informed me that the hotel had a laundry service on site so I wasn’t bringing backing stained clothes home with me I told you this place has it all and met every need without fail.
The morning of my departure was even more pleasant than the one before. I came down to the lobby for breakfast and was greeted this time by the Actual owner of the Hotel Mr. Al Patel I let him know his staff was all so very friendly and the hotel was very nice in talking to him I found out the Atrea was newly remodeled from a much older property. Which made me appreciate my stay even more learning about the turnaround the hotel has just undergone. We finished our Chat over breakfast in the lobby I thanked the owner again for a lovely stay and headed to my room to pack and prepare myself for the drive home. On my way home as I reflected on my trip, I came to realize the best part of my reunion wasn’t the reunion itself by my stay with the Atrea inn of Amarillo Texas I would definitely recommend this hotel to any of my friends and family stopping through or just coming to Amarillo.

The ground up
The Ground up
By Logan Hinton
Atrea Inn of Amarillo, Texas is the boutique motel game's newest kid on the block. where an investor buys and flips an old property transforming and modernizing it to meet today's traveler's needs while still offering that feeling of home. This little motel isn’t just a pretty face but the blueprint for reinvention. Atrea inn did this with vision, excellent service, attention to detail, and safety in mind for all its guests. This approach sounds simple in theory but if you asked anyone involved in the multi-million-dollar reconstruction it was anything but. As someone heavily involved with the steps and workings of the Atrea inn allow me to share the building boxes on what made this motel an affordable and desirable stop while visiting Amarillo.
Atrea Inn wasn’t always a charming place to stay years ago when it was called the Travel lodge the definition of a seedy motel. Indeed, the first step in Atrea’s turnaround has to be the owners' vision for this once-rundown motel. Which was two-fold to convey elegance without the high price tag while giving guests a sense of home while traveling. The owner Al Patel and his team of investors saw the potential in the old structure but knew it was going to take a lot of work from the ground up. Once settling on the aesthetic design the team got to work with hiring contractors from every field including water, electric, stone workers, painters, and welders. Slowly seeing their vision take shape day by day. Knowing this was only the first step to giving birth to the Atrea inn Al Patel knew once the remodel was complete that the right guest service team was needed for his vision to shine through.
Building a respectable business requires the right people to run the day-to-day operations. This is where they hit it out of the park with the hiring of a great general manager in Cassandra Morris with years of experience in hotel management. Through networking her years in the industry she was able to put together a team of friendly and welcoming staff for the front desk, while also focusing on professional and fast-acting housing-keeping staffing. Through sharing experiences in the hotel business the Staff and management were able to build an important step to their success which was a personal line of communication and a sense of a shared dream with the commitment to excellent service to its guests. With the remodel finished and now staffed Atrea inn was ready to open its doors to a post-pandemic world.
They say “the devil is in the details” but Atrea Inn of Amarillo believes the heart is in the details and that is exactly what they set out to prove. When it comes to a great hotel experience Atrea Inn of Amarillo can’t be beaten. When first arriving at the location your eyes are drawn to the new courtyard inviting you to spend your day or night underneath the Amarillo sky. Where it counts is during the check-in process guest are automatically put at ease with a warm welcome to the hotel and warm homebaked cookies because everything is better with cookies. Guest are also treated to the comforts of home nice big bed to rest their heads, laundry service on-site, snacks to please anyone with a sweet tooth, and breakfast in the morning only thing a guest needs to bring is their favorite pair of slippers.
The guest’s safety should always be in the mind of any hotel property and Atrea inn has this concept locked down. With its previous reputation, the motel took no chances when it came to upgrading its security with cameras on every inch of the property and a constant police presence. Making its guests feel they are safe is very important to the motel and its staff and is the top building box to its success. The steps Atrea inn took to redefine what a motel could and should be is truly inspiring to say the least but any business that focuses on guest satisfaction can learn from these Tips and tricks to improve their business overall outlook.

The Little Things Count
The Little Things Count
By Logan Hinton
When traveling across the country where you stay matters, in Amarillo Texas, that's no different, and that's where Atrea inn comes in for your lodging needs. Atrea Inn offers charm and comfort in a relaxed setting while offering great rates and an even more fantastic guest experience. While also being conveniently located right off Interstate 40. This yellow rose of Texas has become more than just a pretty face to those staying with the inn it is definitely leading the charge in the boutique motel landscape.
Atrea inn has come a long way from its humble beginnings from its less desirable days as the run-down Travel lodge. The motel is newly renovated and updated for guests on the go or actually staying in Amarillo with a relaxing courtyard, cookies for their child guests an assortment of wines for their adult guests, while also proving breakfast in the morning and an on-site laundry service. You would be really hard-pressed to find a better stay for what you're getting with the Atrea inn of Amarillo for the price of peace and relaxation.
Speaking of prices Atrea inn has a competitive price that exceeds its three nearest competitors. When you’re traveling every dollar counts to make sure you and your family have a successful trip not just to your destination but also home. Atrea Inn knows that and their rates show that with the average stay costs about eighty-two dollars with tax included. Your bank account will definitely thank you for booking with Atrea inn Amarillo.
The big draw for new and returning guests to Atrea inn is their complete experience from check-in to check-out. Once you arrive at the property you are greeted in many ways. First, you’re greeted by their warm and friendly Staff rather that be morning, noon, or night who always has freshly baked cookies or for those travelers who need a little nightcap nicely chilled glass of wine. During guests' stay, they are treated with all the taste of home soft comfortable bed and even softer towels. The end of the stay is capped off with a Hot fresh breakfast complimentary of course. When traveling across the country what more can you expect or ask for.
Location location really matters when you are staying somewhere new luckily Atrea Inn Amarillo is located with a host of things within distance. Into the arts guess the Amarillo little theatre is two miles away. Looking to get some West Texas shopping done Atrea inn is only three miles away from Westgate mall. What if antiques are your thing Atrea is close again less than two miles away from historic route 66-sixth street. Atrea Inn Amarillo is within distance of your passion.
When it comes to lodging for a night stop or for an extended stay in Amarillo Atrea inn has you covered with the small touches of home that make you forget you are even staying in a hotel. With the goal of making every guest feel like they are part of the Atrea family. They might not be a big Chain hotel but when it comes to their service, rates, and location that doesn't matter to their guests and those little things add up to big savings of Stress, and time. and most importantly money.
