That was a familiar voice.
Edgeworth had been hoping that he would be able to relax and enjoy his tea, but he doubted that was going to be in his immediate future. There wasn't anything to actually be afraid of, though anyone else would be intimidated. At worst he would get whipped, though she usually aimed for something that wasn't her brother.
He was somehow not surprised that she claimed the entirety of the fourth floor to herself. It sounded like something that she would do, after all. Well, there was no use in keeping her waiting.
Getting up and answering the door, he only actually opened it enough for her to see that it was him. Just in case she was in a 'whip first and ask questions later' mood.
"Franziska, I wasn't aware that you were also here. Would you like to come in for some tea before it gets cold?"

Say your prayers, Miles Edgeworth.
High heels clicked against the ground of floor four as Franziska made her way through. The hall was silent, apart from the sounds produced by her graceful walking, and boy, she made sure she was heard. Franziska von Karma was not considerate of anyone. Especially if you invaded her territory.
When she halted in front of room #402, she firmly cracked her whip to let her presence be known. Knocking? That was for foolish fools who were unworthy of a whip. She had better ways to perform the most mundane actions known to humanity. If she wasn’t a woman of the law, who currently stood in front of a locked door, she would have broken down this door immediately. Anything to prove her dominance.
“Show yourself, you disgraceful mutt! Who dares entering the fourth floor?” That was more of an accusation than a real question. Regardless of the new resident’s identity, she would make sure to chase them out.

Now that I'm not sick and busy, I'd like to reapply as Miles Edgeworth from Ace Attorney! My application can be found under the court record tab in my sidebar.
Well, well, well… look who came crawling back. We’re happy to see you’re back, Miles! We had plenty of lawyers join us while you were gone.
You have been housed in Gâteau Château Room #402. Your sister is near, but she is not pleased.
Good luck…!

Being approached out of nowhere by a stranger wasn't really on his top ten list of things that he wanted to happen on his walk, but he did understand the plight of a missing animal. He hadn't seen Pess since he got here. She wouldn't be here, would she? If anything she would hopefully still be back in L.A., and Gumshoe would be taking care of her.
Did.... this kid say that his cat sometimes burps up ghosts? He had heard more outrageous things in the past, involving more than a few ghosts, but that was a new one.
"I'm sorry, I'm afraid that I haven't seen your cat anywhere. When was the last time that you saw it?" He could take a few minutes at least to help. The rest of his day was more or less clear, Stella City didn't have as much crime as L.A., so unsurprisingly there were less cases that made their way to him.
@logicchess
Judai could have sworn he’d been everywhere. Sure, he had a poor sense of direction, and sure, the city is completely unfamiliar to him, and sure, he didn’t even have Yubel or his duel monsters to help him navigate, but… well, he was pretty sure he’d checked everywhere, anyway. But no Pharaoh. And that was a problem - even if he had sort of swallowed Professor Banner, he wasn’t supernatural or anything, so why would Pharaoh be missing?
Well, if he couldn’t find the cat himself, he’d have to start asking around. It wasn’t like Pharaoh was dangerous, swallowed soul or not. Judai went towards the riverbanks, thinking maybe Pharaoh missed being around nature or… something, who cares. He chose someone at random, walking up to them with a wave.
“Hey there, Mister! You wouldn’t happen to have seen a really fat cat around here anywhere, would you? He’s brown, sometimes burps up a ghost, probably puffed himself up real big if he saw you?”

@wrightingsins
Of course he was here. In and of itself, it wasn't that surprising that Wright was here in the city. He had a habit of being relevant in his life regardless of circumstance. Even when the current circumstances were being slam-dunked into an unfamiliar city populated mostly by sheep.
There was no use in thinking about that particular trainwreck now, especially when Edgeworth had wasted no time making his way to Wright & Co. Law Offices the second that he found out the address. Hopefully Wright continued his trend of being ever-present in his office while simultaneously doing no work.
He knocked on the door, and it was time to wait.
