Peter rolls over in bed, his muscles stiff as he blinks the sleep out of his eyes. The bedroom is still dim, lit only by the weak rays of sun that manage to sneak through the curtains, but it’s enough light for Peter to see you curled up in bed beside him.

Even with last night’s makeup streaked along your face, your hair a mess, and chapped lips parted, Peter thinks you look like a vision. And then he thinks that you’ve got him down bad, completely under your finger. Not that he’d ever admit to it—not unless you admitted it first, confessed that you loved him for more than just the nights you spent in his bed and the evenings you spent smoking weed out his bedroom window.

You stir beside him, the covers falling away to reveal you clad in one of his own band shirts. A tired groan leaves your lips as your lashes flutter against your cheeks.

“Am I dead?” You peer up at where he sits next to you, propped against his pillows, and Peter chuckles, rolling his eyes. He reaches for the bedside table and hands you a glass of water—the one he refilled last night after forcing you to drink before you crashed. There’s a bottle of painkillers there as well, and he taps two into his palm for you.

“Told you you were gonna be nursing one helluva hangover,” Peter says, his voice thick with his own exhaustion.

“Don’t talk so loud,” you berate, accepting the meds and the water, downing it in a few gulps.

“I’m whispering,” Peter replies, this time actually whispering.

“Then don’t talk at all,” you retort, placing the empty glass back into Peter’s outstretched hand. You sink back into the bed and place a hand over your eyes.

“Did we…?”

“No,” Peter shakes his head, “You were so fucked up. Tried to sit on my face while I was helping you change.”

You peek out at him from between two fingers and can tell he’s kidding from the smirk on his face. Still you cringe. “I’m sorry.” You had gone to the party his frat was hosting fully intending to have a few drinks and get fucked senseless by your sometimes-friend-with-always-benefits, but apparently you’d had a few too many.

“Don’t apologize,” Peter mutters, sinking down next to you, “I ended up fucking that chick from Harper’s class.”

“You did not!” You’re louder than you intend and instantly regret it, the pulsing between your eyes flaring up.

“I didn’t,” Peter smirks, “But I could have. She was all over me. But I had someone who needed all my attention.”

“Well aren’t you chivalrous,” you whisper. Peter chuckles low again and you feel his hand come to rest on the curve of your stomach, his large palm pressed against your skin under the borrowed t-shirt.

“A really gentleman,” Peter teases, “You know, I hear that having someone go down on you does wonders for a hangover.”

You feel heat rise up the back of your neck, but let yourself smile. “Somehow I doubt that.”

“We could try it out,” Peter suggests, “For Science.” His fingers dip a little lower and tease the waistline of your panties. Your breath hitches in your throat but your legs snap shut. Peter withdraws his hand.

“I want to make it up to you,” you assure him, “So let me get another hour of sleep and then wake me up…with your tongue?”

Peter blinks at you and the corners of his mouth twitch into a devilish smirk. “I’d like nothing more, baby girl.”
