Lazy Mornings

Alex and Henry have been at the lake house for about a week now. Technically, they were supposed to be traveling across the country giving speeches about the importance of LGBT+ education in schools, but they both decided they needed a break.

Henry had been waking up early every day, or at least he would be if he was actually getting sleep. Mostly he just laid there, staring at his beautiful boyfriend and those goddamn fucking eyelashes as they softly fluttered against Alex’s cheeks.

In the mornings, Henry would slip out of bed, detangling himself from Alex’s embrace and slip on some boxers before making his way to the kitchen. Slowly and groggily, he’d turn on the coffee machine, idly cleaning as he waited for the fresh pot to finish brewing.

And every morning, just like clockwork, Alex would stumble out of the room right as Henry finished pouring two mugs of the steaming coffee.

“Hi baby,” Alex would mumble, wrapping his arms around Henry’s waist and pulling him into his chest, kissing Henry’s shoulder blade as he did.

Henry would simply smile and turn in Alex’s arms, giving him a quick peck before handing off one of the mugs.

The two would continue their mornings sipping coffee and stealing the occasional kiss, both trapped in an ethereal bliss as they spent a quiet day simply being in each other’s presence.

A/N: Me? Writing? Who would have thought? Okay but seriously i was just messing around trying to get back into writing and uhh thought I’d share it :) lemme know if you guys wanna read any other word vomits
