VERSE INFORMATION: MADOKA MAGICA

After the massacre of her clan, Lindenbaum is approached by Kyubey. Without question, she screams her wish into the sky:

"I wish that I had the power to destroy humanity, so that I can avenge my family who was massacred so unfairly!"

Lindenbaum is then given her Soul Gem, and transforms into a Magical Girl. While she already has magical abilities at birth, her abilities are now enhanced thanks to this newfound power.

Her main weapon is a purple spear decorated with linden flowers, and linden flowers appear every time she uses a spell or an attack. Her main magical ability allows her to use her blood in her attacks, such as sending streams of blood at her opponents, or infusing the blood in her spear. Her blood is still poisonous to humans, so having this ability in her attacks is deadly.

Lindenbaum's Soul Gem is a purplish-black color, making it difficult to tell when she needs to heal it with Grief Seeds. This doesn't matter to her anyhow, as she hardly gives a shit about collecting Grief Seeds. In fact, she only hunts and kills Witches to get her anger out, and doesn't really take kindly to her species' namesake being used to refer to monsters. It only drills into her just how much humans suck.

Magia Exedra Moveset:

Basic Attack: Poisoned Blood — Shoots a stream of blood at her opponent, doing 15-20 Dark DMG.

Skill: Bloodstained Lindens — Linden flowers rain down on all opponents, doing 30-50 Dark DMG and inflicting Poison.

Ultimate: Tears Of Blood — A cutscene plays, showing Lindenbaum crying black tears, followed by her dipping her spear into the puddle her tears cause. She launches forward, slicing her spear into the air, doing Dark DMG to all opponents in her path. In the background, linden flowers rain down, very similarly to her Skill.

Witch Transformation + Labyrinth:

Lindenbaum transforms into a Witch rather quickly, falling into despair due to her isolation and anger, as well as her refusal to care about healing her Soul Gem after a battle. She is then known as Glyzinien, the Witch of Revenge, and practically loses any semblance of humanity she has left inside of her.

Her Labyrinth is a deadly place; a silver forest with its trees and plant life all wilted, snow falling down. It's reminiscent of her home village, with some notable changes, such as pools of black blood that are deadly to the touch which threaten to harm anyone that dares to tread too close to her, and areas of her Labyrinth have constant rainfall (also of her poisonous blood). It is a winding, twisting Labyrinth, haunted by the cries of her clan as they were massacred, directly taken from her memories and playing on loop.

Glyzinien's Familiars are floating wisteria flowers that spew poison at anyone standing in their master's way, but they can be easily killed.

If fought as a boss in Magia Exedra, she is rather difficult to kill without a healer on the team, and her Familiars are constant DMG dealers throughout the battle. Glyzinien uses corroded versions of her moveset as a Magical Girl, dealing twice as much DMG as before.

Other Notes & Trivium:

Whether or not Lindenbaum still needs a wheelchair in this verse or not is still to be determined, though I feel like she could use her Soul Gem to prevent that from happening if she wanted to, much like how Homura heals her own heart condition upon each loop.

If canon Magical Girls run into her, Lindenbaum will be very scornful and if provoked, will try to kill her fellow Magical Girls as under the costume, they are simply humans. AKA she still has her prejudice against humans, as evidenced by this and her wish.

Her name as a Witch, Glyzinien, means wisteria in German, and wisterias are known to be poisonous flowers.

IMPORTANT LORE — WHAT ARE WITCHES?

An in-depth exploration as to what Witches are, as well as how they function and their notable physical characteristics.

WARNING: THIS CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR THE NOVEL I'M WRITING. If you don't wish to be spoiled, read with caution.

What are Witches, exactly?

To put it simply, Witches are the children of humans and demons. They are evidence of the taboo, creatures that shouldn't exist. They are in the place of vampires, and are functionally the same as them.

Witches live longer than humans; the oldest a Witch has lived so far is 200 years old. They mature slower as well, at 50 years old.

Witches have ink-black blood, and it is poisonous to humans. However, it is essential not only for survival, but in order for Witch couples to have children.

It does not matter what gender either parent is — any gender can get pregnant and give birth to a child. Instead of intercourse, transferring blood from one Witch to another is how they conceive.

Humans and Witches cannot have children together — their bodies and blood are incompatible with one another.

Witches have pointed ears and fangs, much like vampires, and their skin is noticeably colder to the touch than a human's.

Witches are not vampires. Humans spread rumors of creatures known as "vampires", referring to Witches.

Witches feed on human blood to survive. Without a constant supply of it, they become weak and unable to function properly.

Witches formed five different secluded clans in order to hide from the watchful eye of humans and demons alike, and each clan practices different customs and has different strengths. I will go into another meta later down the line that talks about them.
