Most species bare their teeth as a threat, as a display of aggression, of leadership. It is a reminder that these clenched jaws can and will open your yielding throat.
I want you to think of this the next time I smile.

allyria is carrying such a big burden and the fact she has not succumbed to this immense pressure is a miracle. she has to keep it together, is clinging to the hope that is her nephew edric and then when he disappears into thin air, she is frantically searching for literally the only family she has left whilst fighting against people saying she should give up and ascend the seat of lord of starfall herself since they need a lord and it seems unlikely they’ll ever see edric again.

Even when you felt you weren’t strong enough to survive, somehow you found the strength to survive anyway. What does that say about you other than you are made from the blood of stars?

the more i listen to jenny of oldstones, the more i associate the lyrics with allyria like
High in the halls of the kings who are gone
( at starfall, founded by house dayne who were kings of the torrentine )
Jenny would dance with her ghosts
The ones she had lost and the ones she had found
And the ones who had loved her the most
( allyria's siblings and her sister in law, extremely haunted by their deaths )
The ones who'd been gone for so very long
She couldn't remember their names
( allyria's parents, whom she doesn't remember as she was far too young when they perished )

allyria lost nearly all of her family by the time she was twenty and not much later her only remaining family member, edric, went missing after the battle in the riverlands.
and she’s expected to lead her house, of which she’s the only direct scion left like ....
*cue under pressure by queen playing rather loudly in the background*
