Being a fan of sumire must be fucking disappointing, like one of the most interesting original boruto characters and all she has been reduced to is potential love interest, like all she does is follow sarada around because for some reason (most are suspecting romantic reasons) she is immune to the omnipotence that makes everyone think boruto is a criminal. So she follows wherever sarada is and makes really obvious observations. That's literally it. Is she even friends w sarada? We don't even see them talking to each other. At this point it seems both are just following boruto around, tell me a more pathetic existence omfg at least the naruto girls sometimes would have something going on other than their crushes. Sumire is just there for ship teasing purposes. This is so annoying lol

If boruto someday got decanonized (🙏) it wouldn't matter to me bc ino still gets a good standing post naruto and none of her achievements would be erased. And Ikemoto doesn't seem interested in doing anything w Inojin so all that we're left of him would be what we saw in 700. So not much would change either.
