Again, I love how Luffy is drawn during this arc. 

And I’ve talked a few times on how the lack of internal monologue can make Luffy a hard character to read at times, but one of the ways Oda keeps him from being too obtuse to the audience is by making it very clear that we know what Luffy’s feeling even if we don’t always know what he’s thinking. 

This scene with Nami turns that idea on its head somewhat, as he gives a fairly detailed (for Luffy) explanation for why he’s fighting Usopp all while covering his face with his hat so we can’t see his expression.  

But what I really like is how seriously Luffy is taking this. The Luffy vs Usopp fight could have so easily devolved into one big joke, but by having Luffy respond this way it’s made clear that this isn’t just one big hissy fit. Even if Usopp reacted poorly, the emotions behind that reaction are real and validated.

I found it.  After literal years and years of searching, I found it.  I found the track played when Luffy and Zoro break out of their respective buildings and escape the Aqua laguna.  I found the best track in all of One Piece.

And I’m not going to lie, I nearly cried when I heard the damn thing in Hi-Def.
