I have trouble taking care of my teeth because everything that involves doing that is a sensory nightmare. I decide to do some research to see if there's anything I can do about this. The results?

Like, yeah Google, thanks, that really helps. And like, even if I was a child, some of the advice seemed... unhelpful. Like, doing a dance and singing a song while brushing your teeth? Even for a kid, I don't think that would help distract from a sensory experience as intense as brushing your teeth. Like, the extremely intense and unpleasant flavor, the intense feeling of the brush against your teeth scraping across it, even mouthwash has such an intense and disgusting flavor that I have difficulty keeping it in my mouth for more than a few seconds. I wish there was SOMETHING that could be done.

Hello!!! It’s me again :3c  I like to think that the Potion’s Professor and the Herbology’s Professor have a close relationship, so I did a drawing of one of the first time where Snape needed some ingredients for his potions as the new Potion Professor (He’s about 21 y/o here)

I was inspired by @jezifster's recent question about non-gendered royal titles, and I put together this graphic to serve as a jumping off point for people writing monarchies in SFF !

Obviously this non-exhaustive list contains mainly western titles, all in English. Feel free add any on additional gender neutral terminologies that you can think of, including those from different languages and cultures!

A small addition: I'm not a linguist or historian and put this list together based on some quick googling! While you're free to flex the usage and meanings of these words however you choose, researching the real-world context of each term before using them in your own writing is a best practice.

i'm in the process of compiling a list of analog horror & ARG type shit that tend to fly under the radar more than the classics. here's a few-- i'll probably drop lists like these in sections! this is part one

*do not ask me to add Tangi, Oracle Project, or anything else by Vintage8. here's why.

ANGLER'S TRAP: an "informational" horror short about the wonders of nature. inspired by TWF (no major jumpscares, no blood or gore shown. very enjoyable and neatly made, disturbing concepts but ultimately the video is very harmless)

THE SMILE TAPES: hands-down my favorite on this list. a horrific series about drug usage, human suffering, and panic wrapped up in a neat little hour-long box of medical reports and journal entries. the creator, patorikku, does other projects (check out THEY LIE ABOVE as well)- but this one has definitely stuck with me the most. would definitely recommend this one for any mandela catalogues fan with a strong stomach. (contains disturbing human/"human" warped imagery, discussion of fungal infection & disease, and jumpscares & glitching left and right. about the same level of graphic content you would expect from GHE or TMC)

VITA CARNIS: a research documentary-styled series about "living meat" creatures coexisting among humans! definitely one for gemini home fans. this series does an absolutely fantastic job presenting the monster up-close in footage- none of that "the monster was inside us all along" bs, it is very much present and on-screen courtesy of practical effects if you watch far enough along. the series linked is the core set of videos, but there's MANY other less intense worldbuilding videos on the channel and they seem like lots of fun. (a few big visual and auditory jumpscares once you get to the higher-level entities, edited images that have the appearance of raw meat. generally not for the faint of heart)

FILM FOR INVESTORS: a short film styled as a 90s advertisement for a new computer & virtual AI assistant named era. totally nothing weird going on here. (no jumpscares, just some weird implications. again, a quality piece, but generally safe)

VALLE VERDE: an animal crossing-esque PS1 video game with some dark secrets. this series doesn't have much to show yet, but its first video is absolutely stellar quality and the general theming is very easy to grasp (not to mention it's a full 20min long and is entirely animated). would recommend for petscop and crow64 fans. (some minor jumpscares, a small amount of sudden glitching and flashing, and lots of assorted weird noises)

URBANSPOOK: i could not fully watch this due to graphic content involving my biggest trigger. however, the bits and pieces i could stomach were wonderfully made and very immersive. dark and deeply disturbing, this VHS tape series takes a step back from the supernatural and focuses on the horror of humanity itself. proceed with caution.

THE MINERVA ALLIANCE: another VHS series that pays homage to GHE, featuring a large assortment of shorts covering different products and PSAs across one cohesive universe. right off the bat in mr. know-it-all's game show, the series is immersive and works with a tool that many other unfiction projects choose to put aside in favor of the traditional slow, mounting anticipation- minerva alliance wastes no time inducing intense & sudden panic. the videos keep a lively pace, so if you're a fan of series that take their time with things this probably isn't the one for you. (jumpscares, flasing lights, sirens)
