Bucky Brindle with white markings Galgo Espanol was born 29 of May 2021💙 A Swedish conformation champion. A shared first place in our only lure coursing competition He has sadly had some injury issues. Struggles with separation anxiety and very poor apitate. Sadly, he has a pretty low drive for training and gets easily shut down. But he is the best couch potato dog and loves going to conformation shows and meeting people. My first puppy Swift Cream Galgo Espanol 💚 Was born 7 of October 2025 My second puppy. Buckys sisters puppy. He is currently 8 months old. We are competing in puppy confirmation with some mixed results. He tends to lose his mind with excitement when the judge touches him🫣 And is currently going through a fear period making all the tents and stuff around the ring scary. But everything we do know is only training for his future competition career. He is so fun to train and has so much will to please and so much interest in working with me. He is also a very naughty puppy lucky him he is so cute 2008 02 17 - 2021 11 29 Very much missed🩷 Sansa Boston terrier. My and my family's first dog. Bought as a retired breeding dog at 7 years old. 2017 01 07 - 2024 10 04 Never forgotten💜 Fjalar Welsh Corgi Cardigan He lived with genetic fear aggression and was a serious bite risk. He was my family's first puppy and the reason I am a dog person today. he taught me so much and will forever change the way I view owning dogs. It is still so quiet and empty without him💔 I am a 25 year old who works as a dog sitter and dog walker. I spend the rest of my time with and doing things with my dogs. It's mainly a blog of dog and life ramblings

That first video is from November 11th. We had had Swift for 3 days at home and that was when I was sure that I picked the right puppy. He is still very much the same way he wants things his way and will not take no. What do you mean that all chews and all food is not for him. That is clearly unacceptable. He was the boss over Bucky from day one. He is not mean but assertive. Bucky is also very timid and submissive.
For a few short weeks, Swift could fit in my laundry basket, and it was the best sleep spot in the entire house. He was so sad when he outgrew it.
Here we have Switts first walk in the stroller. Sadly, the weather was just awful the first weeks with him at home. Either super cold or super rainy. Not very good puppy walking weather.

Still dying over the first picture he lis laying on top of a macaw pet toy😂😅
( I was ready to help him if he was truly stuck, but I believe in allowing them to attempt to solve problems themselves as long as they don't freak out). He had been so calm and confident that I was not worried about him freaking himself out.)

The first few days at home with Swift.
Poor baby found our old drafty house so cold that he needed sweaters. Lucky we kept most of Sansas old stuff for the next puppy💚

July to early October
A bit of a spoiler for the reason i started trying to catch up again a new puppy💚 One of the white males is my newest baby Swift💚 I can't tell him and his white brother apart from the baby pictures it is what it is. I had dreamt of a white galgo since I started dog sitting my gang of galgo girls in 2018. When I saw Buckys breeders white female when picking Bucky up that want just intentisifed. The parents of Swift are 2 brindle dogs. Buckys brindle sister anf a brindle outside male. But buckys father is white so I guess it skippade a generation and there also being 2 white males! I wanted a forward and brave male puppy with a strong prefernce for a dog that does not look the same as Bucky. My reserve puppy was a darkwr brindle with a bigger blaze.
I picked Swift over his brother just because he was more forward and brave when we visited. And he is truly insane in all the best ways. I love him so much he is exacly what i wanted in my next puppy💚
We have been waiting not very patiently for Buckys breeder to have puppy again and it has taken this long so it had nothing to do with Fjalar passing. I was looking forward to having 3 dogs again but it was not to be sadly.
Now the sad Stuff. After feeling that Fjalar was not getting better we had to decide to day goodbye. The day we called and booked the date for Fjalars euthanisa was the day I was officially offered a puppy from the litter. The week beetwen us booking the appointment and it happening he was on so much meditation he was so happy and comfortable but it was not a long term answer. The day of he happily trotted into the clinic and greeted the vet for thw first time of his life. Fjalar was not a friendly dog so it says alot about how medicated he was. I passed in my lap where he was the happiest. I am so angry that he did not even get to 8. The forest pics are form his last walk💜💔
We also discovered afterwards that his brother was put down in august. Fjalar made it to October. And that many other siblings also are dead. Like 1 or 2 are alive from a litter of 6. He was the first puppy my family bought so we were very naive. We know better today.

April to early July 2024
Bucky and his litter sisters from a dog show.
In early april we got Fjalar neutered. We wanted to do it before he got to old for anasthesia to be safe.
Sadly he never really recovered and was put down in early October. He likely had a herniated disc before the surgery that he hid so well we did not notice. The rest for healing and muscle mass loss after the surgery made it progress to him being symptomatic and he got worse over the summer before getting the diagnosis in agust/september it is all just a blur. It hurts so much to see him at all. I miss him everyday💜
In April Bucky also got mystery bloody diarrhea for week. Which was extremely stressful he was himself and did not have a fever and because of that the vets could not really do much. It has not happened again since.

January 2024
The last time Lennox visited. So happy his owner recovered and everything is seemingly working at home still over a year later.
January also mens Mydog which is our citys Big conformation show. We won open male class over some very good males but no CERT just Reserv CERT.
We also worked in the breed booth. Bucky lovers it. And always fun to talk about a breed you love.
Still so obsessed with us getting a cold and snowy winter.

August and September 2023
Recovery for Bucky. We did laser and some other supportive treatments, but mainly, it was rest and then slowly getting him going again.
(Around here, I was fired from doggy daycare as well. I will never get over my old boss saying it is not fun for me that you look so sad. I was severely depressed because my dog was injured, and it was coming up on a year since my godmother died.
The comment came from me generally hanging with the dogs getting mentally ready to but on the customer service face for 4 hours when interacting with all the dog owners during pick up.) As well as me being fired for not being OK with someone not doing their share of the cleaning. When working with animals cleaning us everything!)

July 2023
Bucky got his lure coursing competition license and then 3 days later got a tendon injury on his Achilles? Can't really remember if that is right.
It was extremely minor but I am very anxious and want him to stay healthy as a sport dog so we went to the vet and I am very thankful I took it seriously so we caught it as a small tear and not as something worse.
We had the lure coursing practice on th weekend. Then me and my mom and I walked the dogs together on Wednesday. Bucky stepped on a cherry, got it stuck in between his toes, jumped a meter right up into the air because he got scared, and then immediately got jumping on 3 legs lame. I looked over the leg and palpated it, found nothing. Carefully walked back home. He was very stressed and hurting when we got home. I also noticed a very tiny area that was swelling on a back leg. See the red ring on the pictures. The area that is normally see-through on the hock was not see-through anymore. I wrote to his breeder she thought it was a tendon injury, and she was right. The next day, he was all better and walking normally, but I wanted it checked for peace of mind.
So, with Bucky and Lennox, we basicly had injured dogs at home from May to September in 2023🙃

Conformation shows special post July 2023
Weekend one Bucky finally got his first of 3 CERT needed to become a Swedish conformation champion. It was cold and rainy very Swedish.
Weekend 2 Bucky got best male and best of opposite and his second CERT. It was so hot.
One of the other open class males growled and lunged at Bucky right when we were entering the ring. For once, the judge was very on it about temperament, and that dog got severely judged down as it kept growling the entire time it was in the ring and trying to get to Bucky.
Bucky is amazing and did not care at all. But I really wish more judges took temperament judging seriously. Dogs should not be crawling along the ground or shying away from the judge. My dogs are too friendly and outgoing for the breed standard, and I am fine with being judged down for that, too, but I think it is the better end of the spectrum to be at.
The black Iggy is Buckys breeders newest puppy.
