i think it's kinda amusing to headcanon durge as a changeling because it gives a fun in-universe explanation for why they can be any race/gender/appearance but more importantly because it would make orin so mad. especially because there's a journal in "the chosen's room" at the bhaal temple written by pre-tadpole durge where they concede that the only advantage orin has over them is her changeling abilities.
