According to the map, mipha was the first to arrive her divine beast, and we know she was the first one to send an SOS.

then was Daruk.

Then Urbosa.

Revali was the last. Can you imagine? He just flew through the entire continent, landed in a hurry, and heard the SOS signals from the other 3, and then, he is attacked by the creature that was made to destroy him.

What if, the reason his SOS signal came so late and was so frantic was because he knew no one was listening? What if he knew that he had to win because no one can save him, and he is the only one that can, no, MUST, save the others? What if the reason it is so frantic is because when he finally gave up, he wasn’t just sending it to the other divine beasts, but to anyone who would listen? Because he knew that the others are lost.
