When Sebastian teached Edward how to flirt- do you think that Yana used the Kabe Don meme ?

Yep, that was indeed the infamous “kabe-don” (Engl. “wall bang”, i.e. popular romantic scene often used in Japanese shojo manga, movies, tv dramas, where the guy faces the girlwith her back on the wall and then places his hand on the wall beside her) !

But it wasn’t just a normal “kabe-don”, but a combination technique of “kabe-don” and so-called “ago-kui” (Engl. “chin up”, i.e. popular romantic scene often used in Japanese shojo manga, movies, tv dramas etc where the guy lightly lifts the girl’s chin),

so no wonder that Edward totally blushed haha xD

Back in 2015, GFantasy did a “kabe-don” campaign and each issue came with a “Wall Bang” poster featuring a character from one of the mangas serialised in GFantasy.

Ok, actual question this time, or opinion: do you think Shinigamis can heal? From physical wounds. We know they can be killed, like Sebastian was going to do to Grell. On Campania Undertaker's attack hit Grell and Ronald but it's normal we don't really see post wounds (well, Grell doesn't have any scars on 107.5) but... Anyway, this is all to ask, do you think Undertaker's scars are prior or after he became a Shinigami? It can be for style reasons, but they're not from a slice-like attack (cont)

I think they can! Iirc William said in Circus arc that shinigamis have to eat and sleep unlike demons so I guess that the nature of a shinigami is quite close to that of a normal human being. In that sense, I assume their wounds do heal, too (maybe even a little bit faster than normal human beings).

In one of the so-called “character sheets” that came with the anime season 1 DVD/BDs, Yana stated that Undertaker did not have the scars back back when he worked as a shinigami. 

“When he was a shinigami, he wasn’t dressed up as an undertaker. ※He didn’t have the scars either!”

I’m not sure though if this only applies to anime!Undertaker or if it’s supposed to be manga-canon, too. But in case it’s manga-canon, then maybe he got the scars when he tried to desert from the Shinigami dispatch association 50 years ago? In Campania arc he said that he “had trouble” taking his death scythe with him, so maybe he was chased after by the dispatch members and got badly injured when he fought against them (just an idea).

unless it’s for style reasons (he does looks badass)

Honestly speaking, I believe the scars were indeed 80% for style reasons since Undertaker’s current character design is based on this pirate character

who was supposed to be the protagonist of a story about pirates Yana was planning before she eventually came up with the idea of “Kuroshitsuji”^^;

Also, you’ve certainly noticed how Undertaker has his arm behind Vincent on the colored page of 107.5 

Haha I remember when I first saw that illustration I actually thought for a moment that Undertaker was sitting on Vincent’s laplol

I noticed Undertaker’s legs are very thin!! It looks like a bone!! and also at the famous chapter 120 his figure there were pretty thin too or skinny, somthing like that.. maybe his “project” kept him very busy that he often forgot to eat properly and just settle to just bone-shaped cookies.. What a poor thing :’( -YANA-SAN!! I VOLUNTEER TO BE UNDERTAKER’s CHEF, MAID OR WHATEVUH, EVEN WITH NO COMPENSATION, YES!!!

how many scars undertaker have?

Hello! We don’t know for sure, but here are all the ones we’ve seen so far:

His face and across one of his eyes.

Around the neck and across the chest, above the heart.

Left little finger.

Across the left arm.

Also, from a side story, we were shown this…

…but we haven’t seen as many scars across both his arms in canon yet. 

Finally, thanks to ch131, we can at least be sure that UT’s scars come from a time before Vincent’s murder, meaning that there are 3 possibilities:

UT’s scars have to do with how he killed himself

really unsure about this possibility because other Shinigamis don’t have visible scars, implying that their Shinigami body post-suicide doesn’t remain scarred by how they killed themselves

UT’s scars are from a time when he was still a Shinigami

some readers like @abybweisse theorized that maybe cinematic records had done this to him (see the ova with Will and Grell remembering their training days)

UT’s scars are from a time between the moment he deserted and 1882

just an example, but maybe he was once tortured when he worked for Claudia or Vincent (but a Shinigami very probably can’t die if the weapon isn’t a death scythe, hence why even the cut across the neck or chest wasn’t fatal)?

personal idea there again, but I’ve always wondered if his scars didn’t have to do with how Claudia possibly died (as in, I think it’s possible she was murdered too and he received all these scars as he tried to save her)?

also crack theory of mine xD but I always wondered about the possibility for a Tanaka vs UT fight once in the past, when Claudia was still alive (since there has to be a reason a Japanese warrior became an English butler), with Tanaka being the one behind UT’s scars. 0 proof though.
