SARIEL - NPC 001.

BASIC INFO

Name: Sariel Species: Fallen angel Age: Unknown, born around the same time as Gadreel Gender: He prefers not to label it, but aligns more on the male side Occupation: Grigori, though his opinions do not quite line up with that of Gadreel’s group. Positive traits: Generous, kind, generally well-rounded as a person, very caring towards friends & loved ones, loyal Negative traits: Trusts too easily, no alignment with good or evil, easily influenced Alignment: True neutral Abilities: Sariel’s abilities are quite rare for an angel. He is said to be connected with the moon, and thus can manipulate the moon’s energy to create invisible walls/barriers between himself and whatever is attacking him. He does not fight offensive, but rather defensive, preferring to stay on the sidelines and use his powers to protect his friends.

BIOGRAPHY

Born, raised, and trained with Gadreel, Sariel quickly became one of his best friends and the only other person Gadreel would consider family. They balanced each other out quite well; Sariel would keep him from getting into too much trouble and Gadreel would help Sariel come out of his shell. They were inseparable during their time in Heaven, only apart when they absolutely had to be. Sariel was the first to notice Gadreel’s odd behaviour and the first to know about his connection to Hell; he agreed not to say anything in fear of his friend being thrown from Heaven. He was aware that this decision was wrong, that he would be punished for this, but his loyalties did not lay with God or with Satan, but rather, with Gadreel. When Gadreel was thrown to Hell, Sariel was punished as well, his wings getting ripped from his back and thrown as well, though he landed on Earth rather than Hell. He resided on Earth alone for years until Gadreel was finally released.

        At his response, she nods. It is true. Though mortals suffer, their’s is but a drop in the ocean of their grief. They have had centuries, millennia, to nurse their scars and attempt to live despite the leaden memories. She wonders if he has nightmares, too. If he finds it hard to form relationships and trust others. If there is a part of him that would be all too happy to see the world burn. 

“But still we endure.” She pauses, glancing downward to observe the gently swaying grass. “I’ve been told that every storm must have an end. Perhaps it’s naïve that I still believe that, even after all this time, but it’s something that keeps me moving forward. I don’t know. Alcohol doesn’t help, so I thought that might– the hope that my luck will eventually change.” 

She reaffirms eye contact and the corners of her lips twitch upward. “I suppose it already has, in a way. It’s rare that I find someone who understands quite like you do. It’s… refreshing.” The nephil extends a tentative gloved hand. “My name is Snow… I’m grateful that I bumped into you.”

          There is a moment where Gadreel’s eyes land on the hand outstretched towards him, a moment where he debates reaching out to shake hers. Trust is not something that he hands out freely, but there’s something about this woman that Gadreel doesn’t find with most ---- SOLIDARITY. She seems to be like him, angry at the world, hopelessly searching for a way to get back what was stolen from them; for Gadreel it’s his wings, but he can’t help but wonder what it is for Snow.

          Swallowing his pride (and the apprehension that he can’t control), Gadreel’s hand reaches out and grasps the other’s, scarred skin meeting the dainty glove. ❛  Yeah --- it’s nice to meet someone who get’s it.  ❜  Another pause as Gadreel pulls his hand away once more, letting it find solace within the pocket of his leather jacket. He would hardly consider himself an open book, and in fact works quite diligently to assure people do not make him open up. Seems that this woman has managed it quite effortlessly.

          ❛  Snow, that’s an interesting name. Gadreel.  ❜  He manages a small smile, though doesn’t seem to be quite as hard as it usually is. He wonders what it is about this woman that brings out his softer side; perhaps the knowledge that she is just as broken as he is.  ❛  It’s nice to meet you, y’know... Under the circumstances.  ❜

i also want to just like make a lil post to talk about gadreel’s relationship with uriel in regards to his canon.

i’ll go into greater detail abt it later on but essentially: it’s in my canon that gadreel and uriel were in love before gadreel fell from heaven, and it is canon that uriel is the one who was enlisted to cast him out. what differs in my verses is that, in the majority of my verses with other people, gadreel became extremely bitter at uriel after he was cast out of heaven & now hates him, whereas in my verse with my exclusive uriel ( @quisleo <3 ) gadreel ends up back together with him after the great flood. that’s all & i’ll explain this better tomorrow probably
