Update 2

Hello, for those who are following this is the final update, it doesn’t have skirting boards and door trim yet and some other minor details, but that will come later down the line as I’m back to work etc.

I also decided to redo the floor. Whoops.

Going to be out of action for a little while...

Sul Sul, so I wanted to redecorate my room and it has turned into a MUCH bigger project than I thought it was going to be! If you want some more details, plans etc, it is all under the cut.

But for now, my room went from this (this is from when it was first built so no skirting boards on it just yet)... to its current state;

Side note; I know that there was nothing really wrong with how my room was, but after 5 years I wanted a change.

The plan;

So before I had my wardrobe, desk and bed all in a line along the "brick wall" and a desk of drawers on the opposite wall behind the desk. I had space but I felt a bit squeezed in, and my bed could only be accessed via one side. Sims 2 pic for reference - note furniture and room scale is not the same as IRL obviously, but these were the vibes.

Why did I ripped the walls off;

So my new plan is to have built in wardrobes / drawers either side of the bed and shelving on top (see image below). Majority of my sockets (3 double USB but only the older USB) were on the wall with the window (originally I wanted the sockets there for my comp and all its bits, but hated it there) and 1 double socket on the brick wall. The light switch was also on the wall next to the window, so you have to walk past the door to switch it on... a minor inconvenience.

The plan is to have 2 double sockets with both USB C and A above the bed and two on the wall with the door on it, again with USB C and A for my desk area. There will be a light switch for the ceiling lights on both these walls - so I can be lazy and turn it on / off whilst in bed ahaha! It will also be on a dimmer.

ATM there is no ceiling lights, only two wall lights, now that is fine but since I am redoing the whole room I always wondered what it would be like to add ceiling lights, so yes, the wall lights are being removed and 4 spotlights are being added.

The desk will now be on the wall with the door, this leaves way more space behind the chair.

So to answer why I ripped the walls down, it was so that I can rewire my whole room and make it simpler for the electricians. I didn't want patch work and I wanted seamless lines on my walls. I also wanted to know what was behind my walls (I blame the autism) so now I know where my timbers are, where my wires will be, and I always wondered if my room had insulation everywhere; turns out it didn't in some spots / or very thin insulation. So explains why I was very cold this winter and needed a hot water bottle ahaha.

The info on the built in;

I am custom making the built in, I tried using the IKEA and other room builders but I couldn't configure something I liked, or wanted for my space. So I changed measurements in blender to match my room, and viola; I have my plan;

Swatches / design elements;

The white is just a white matt, and the wood details will be Baroque Gold Oak. ATM my desk is not part of the reno so will be using my black standing desk but with the top in this same wood.

This will be my new bed frame;

Walls - I am going dark, mainly because I had such a light bedroom prior so I thought I would mix it up, it took me a little while to decide, but fundamentally I went for a dark green. (ballina)

Floors;

So I will not being the floors at this time, as I would like to have lovely oak flooring throughout my whole downstairs, so when I do that I will redo my rooms floor then so its all matching. I did not want the expense of the flooring as well as the whole room! But nothing a big rug cant hide!

I will update as I can! Peace out!

Extra bonus images - I threw together a foam version of my built in... and taped my walls to figure out sizing (you can see how little space I had for my bed and probably now see why I want access all around.

So walls have been put back up and plastered, sanded and painted. New electrics are in, and I’ve built one of the drawer units. Things are moving forward!

I don’t want to hear it’s not perfect, it’s my first time hanging dry wall / plastering / building furniture. 🥸

235 TS4 posters - yes, 235! - placed on Lord Crumps' set of slaved meshes, found here. These come from most of the TS4 packs; I did all the posters I could find except the ones Lord Crumps already did (Base Game, Cozy Gamer and Casanova Cave). Master mesh is included, and files are labled according to the TS4 pack the poster came from. They are all induvidual files, so you can easily delete what you don't want, and keep the ones you do.

4T2 Luxury Party

Welcome to your new Sims 2 Stuff Pack! Where items have been made functional and some mods have even been created (thanks @lamare-sims!) Also big thanks to my @simnopke, @hugelunatic, @gayars, @gummi and @episims for being consultants to me!

What this pack includes - mod wise;

A new functional buffet platter, with this item you can place it on any surface, spawn any food item for a price, and use like a buffet table! Prices / serving quantities are tunable. Thanks Lamare again!

Drinks fountain - with thanks to @jacky93sims I managed to take their Witchy Brew Cauldron and make it a drinks fountain! It has new drinks and new GUIDs for all, so it will not conflict with the Cauldron or them drinks! The drink names and models are taken from TS4.

Drinks Fountain side note - you can buy all drinks from the fountain, but the drink colour on the fountain itself will be defaulted to the "Fruit Punch" drink, you can recolour it to be what ever colour you want.

Included is an edit (once again, thanks lamare) to Autonomous Put Away Leftovers by Mog. If you have this mod in your game, have this mod edit replace the existing file. The edit makes it so that sims wont autonomously rush to put away a dish if there is a party or if there are even slightly hungry residents or greeted visitors on the lot (that are also not sleeping, not babies and not off lot). If you do not have this mod, you can delete the mod edit from the folder.

Sims 2 Tool

Currently working on the Sim builder Tab as something broke on it before I loaded it to Sims File Share. I am also tweaking the Aspirations using the Formula's from Sophie's sheet with some minor changes to see how that works also I will be looking at how the secondary aspirations are calculated because I didn't like the outcomes for those too much. Improvements already coming.

4t2 Greenhouse Haven Kit

I have collabed with @tvickiesims in converting this kit! They really smashed it with the animated vent, all the slots! Thank you!

Ever wanted that perfect greenhouse? Well now you can with mine and Tvickiesims' latest collab! Diag versions of the windows and doors are availiable and the vent even rotates!

Tvickiesims did an awesome job with adding tons of slots to basically everything, the fan doesn't need moveobjects to be placed, but is recommended to place over the windows.

The wall lamp actually works as a sunlamp too!

Hello! In the 4t2 TV download, is the InvisiView Flat Panel Tabletop TV missing a texture for the lights on the top and bottom of the screen? They're showing up as "missing texture blue," instead of the lighter "TV indicator light blue" of the InvisiView Flat-Screen HDTV wall-mounted TV. Apologies if this is just a difference in the two TVs and not a problem. Thank you!!

UPDATE

5th April 2025 - Remember baby crumps did this pack years ago when he was still learning! Haha! Thanks @lamare-sims for pointing it to me!

Removed all individual cases of the shadow files, and repo'd them to the main master file that is way more efficient.

Edited a bunch of TXMTs, some items were given a brown tinge and I didn't notice,

Removed restrictions on the thumbnails, so now the items won't be too zoomed in!

Other behind the scenes things such as; removing the capitals inside the simPE files, changing some MMATs around, relinking default swatches etc.

Renamed the files itself to match the latest naming conventions.

Updated the collection image and name.
