What i wrote on my social media coming out

This is me. We all grow up being taught that we should be a certain way. But the truth is it’s okay to be different.

I always knew I was different but chose to ignore it because I thought I had to be like the other girls. I grew up a tom boy, playing sports and loved being competitive. Having said this, I do dress up and wear make-up. Some people might have questioned how I looked, dressed or acted which at times made me shy away from being who I am. There were times when I was bullied at school, I managed to keep my cool but that’s not to say that it didn’t take me to a dark place. At times it made me angry, other times sad. As years past I learned a lot about myself and 3 1/2 years ago I met someone who helped me understand who I truly am, to accept it and not be scared. She helped me come out of the shell I was hiding in! Thanks Ash!

So for anyone who is still wondering, yes i am gay. My journey has not been easy, I still struggle sometimes but I feel so much happier being truly me.

To anyone who may feel uncomfortable with any posts that I may put on social media you are welcome to not follow me. My feelings will not be hurt as I look to surround myself with positive, supportive and loving friends who can accept me for the person that I am. This is me.
