A loud thunder rolled across the sky. Prince Jing began to twist restlessly from side to side. A downpour rattled the windows. He reached out to hug Li Yu, but found only an empty space. He immediately jumped out of bed. His heart was beating frantically in his chest, and it hurt to breathe. The only thing he could think of was Li Yu and the tribulation. Prince Jing tried to calm himself, remembering the fish's promise not to leave him. But at that moment he was scared.

The door opened, and Li Yu walked into the room. What he saw startled him. Prince Jing was at the edge of their bed, hiding her face in her hands and crying. Li Yu rushed over to him, sitting down next to him.
