⸻ BACKGROUND

wayne wilson was a name well known to the authorities and, if anything, that only further coaxed the chief’s rebellious daughter into the dirtbag’s bed. was still just a kid himself at seventeen years when nicky was brought into the world.

unfortunately for the junior wilson, his mom passed due to unforeseen complications after giving birth, and so he was left with only his dad and paternal grandmother. considering wayne was a deadbeat, on top of being in and out of jail, grandma wilson was the one to look after little nicky through his childhood.

so without having a hope in hell from the get go, nicky was raised in the sweltering depths of louisiana in a household that always had some form of drugs or alcohol ( usually both ) at his family's disposal at any given time. therefore, he was exposed to these addictions at a very early age and would eventually follow the same path, but to a lesser degree.

as the apple of his grandma's eye, for some reason, he could do no wrong. when, in fact, he did very wrong, at any given moment. nicky was labelled a problem child by his teachers. it started off with him being an annoying punk kid, disrupting class and clowning around with his friends. but as he got older, the problem grew with him.

scandalous affairs were a common occurrence whenever he was in attendance at school ( he got caught 👉👌💦). so if he didn't skip, he was sent home regularly / suspended. however, he never let his grandma know the difference ( if she'd even notice anyway ) and he'd stay out on the streets all day -- drinking, smoking, wreaking havoc on the city -- until school was let out and it'd be time for him to go home.

eventually, nicky would flip a final fuck you to the system and drop out of high school. who needs big brains?? certainly NOT him. instead of pursing a fruitful career like every other kid on the block, he started doing odd jobs for his family that weren't exactly ... legal by the technical term BUT what he lacked in book smarts, he made up in street smarts and learned to be a pretty elusive / silver tongued dude when it came to the cops.

just shy of his twenty first birthday, he inherited ( really was given ) a whole ass fancy home in moonlight beach and a nice chunk of change from a relative. rumor has it some shady business was going on in there and so having nicky live there was all a cover up to keep the cops from sniffing around. but that's just the rumor mill, and honestly who cares?? he got a free home, away from his fucked up family so yeehaw? ig??

without ever having any real big bills to pay, thanks to the inheritance, nicky did well to save up a huge chunk of his earnings. going from dirt poor to living a life of luxury, nicky was quick to transform himself. he basically cut all contact with his immediate family and was able to live comfortably until kicking things off for himself in manoa bay. his party playboy lifestyle just amplified tenfold though, an avid pleasure-seeker in whatever the nightlife had to offer.

having lived in manoa bay now for fours years, he's built an entire new life for himself and has been through all kinds of ups and downs. tried his hand at several different jobs around the bay until he bought a food truck at an auction, pimped it out, and started his own vendor business in kaiholena park ( where he sometimes ... has a secret "special" menu if you ever need a party favor wink wink ), he still feels alone even when surround by a crowd of people and lowkey started dabbling in bad habits as a means to blur his sorrows away, and he's whored himself around enough that he's accidentally caused some rifts in relationships / friendships / etc oops. but he's just out here living life!!! let the good times roll baby!!

while he can obviously still be a troublemaker and all around jackass, nicky has very high golden retriever energy. he wants to have a good time, but he wants everyone else to have a good time too. no party poopers on his watch.

also has a soft spot for his inner circle, has no qualms when it comes to protecting his territory and his people, and is no stranger to violence.

guilty pleasure is reality tv, specifically dating shows ( too hot to handle would be perf for him ). once upon a time he auditioned to get on one, made it to the final steps, but had schedule conflicts and couldn't do it ... forever sad about it.

he's also a big gamer. homeboy has a collection of all his old favorite consoles / handhelds and a pretty sick pc set up.

drives a souped up black dodge challenger bc he likes squealing his tires and rattling his ribcage with boosted bass tracks, but also owns a loud af dirtbike that he rips around on the beach at night to 'clear his head'.

sometimes gets the urge to check in on his dad every so often bc as much as he tainted nicky's childhood, the senior wilson also showed him some sort of love in his own fucked up way?? but then he's like lmao nah and goes back to his day to day.

deep down, like way deep, nicky knows he's toeing a dangerous line between maintaining his own path and veering onto the same road his dad went down. it's terrifying, but he won't speak a word about it bc talking about feelings and being vulnerable wasn't taught in his family. so he just bottles that shit up and puts on a grin.
