[✿] — The cheery demeanor of the elf girl bounding up to his booth was enough to rub off on even Raguna, and he can’t help but smile every time he looks at her. This girl was definitely a mood lifter, the type who probably lit up any room she walked into.

“Sure thing! Just tell me what kind of design you want, and I’ll see what I can do.”

As he goes to grab a pumpkin, her voice pulls his attention back towards her, and Raguna follows her gaze, looking over her shoulder to the dragon resting behind his stall. “Oh, yeah? We can do that before the pumpkin carving, then… or maybe after? Whatever works for you, Miss.” 

Smiling, he turns back to her. “And that’s right! 2,000G. 3,000G, if we’re adding in the carving.”

The vendor’s demeanor felt warm and welcoming, so much so that Charlotte felt relaxed even with his dragon’s looming presence behind them. It was no wonder that the dragon seemed to feel the same way, too. She nodded at his first suggestion, suppressing a giggle at the fact that she was called ‘Miss.’ Usually being the one to address her customers that way, it felt strange to have it directed at her for once. “I’ll have to go with the dragon first,” she decided. “It’s not everyday that I get to see one so up close, after all!”

However, when he suddenly dropped the higher than anticipated fee, Charlotte’s cheeks became hot with embarrassment. Did she really miscalculate the price? “Oh, um-- I’ll take the pumpkin as it is then, ehehe.” To finally complete the transaction, Charlotte placed the last of her savings onto the counter.

“Well,” she said as she returned the now empty pouch back to her pocket. “After you, Mister!”

The pinkette was even cuter up close and Emily had to resist the urge to giggle. It was always nice to see someone so enthusiastic about what they made. She had a feeling she would be the same way, if she ever had the courage to try and sell her clothing designs. 

“I admit, I love making clothes, but I don’t know a thing about making perfumes.” she replied as she opened the bottle and breathed in the sweet, cheery scent. It really was lovely, and she put a hand to her cheek happily as she thought it over. What would Flak think…? He seemed to like flowers, just as she did, so…. 

She finally looked back up at Charlotte and nodded her head in approval. “I think it’s a lovely scent! It even smells cheerful! I would definitely like to buy it, if you’re sure you don’t mind parting with it.” 

When her customer brought up making clothes, Charlotte’s eyes grew wide with interest. “Wait, you make clothes? That’s way more cool!” It was certainly a skill she could be envious of, having had pricked her fingers more times than she could count trying to patch up minuscule tears. Now that she thought of it, the woman did hold a stylish vibe to her, her bold outfit perfectly matching the energy she gave off. If Charlotte wasn’t supposed to be working, she definitely would’ve asked where she had gotten such a cute dress.

Coming down to the moment of truth, Charlotte prepared herself to hear the worst when she was unexpectedly met with an overwhelming amount of approval. Unable to hide the wave of relief that washed over, she immediately broke into a sunny grin. “Really!?” She clapped her hands together in delight. “Of course you can! Thank you so so much! ♫ Would you like for me to pack that for you, then?”

“Makeup? I’d like to try it, but it looks pretty hard,” Charlotte answers. There were so many types to consider, too! Where could she even begin?

“That’s not to say I don’t want to! But for now, I’m okay with sticking to balms and lotions until I think I can get the hang of it.”

Before the dance, Emily had had a bit of time to shop and look over the booths. THey had all been interesting, but the one with the super cute pinkette had definitely caught her eye. Her wares were almost as cute as she was and when Emily was greeted so enthusiastically, she beamed right back at her.

“Hiya! You have so many beautiful and cute things!” The floral essences definitely caught her eye right away and she pointed at them curiously. “Are these homemade scents? Am I allowed to smell them?”

The cheery looking Daisy one immediately caught her eye, but she didn’t want to touch anything without making sure it was okay with the seller first. 

As the blue-haired woman looked over her wares, Charlotte barely contained herself from bombarding her first customer with questions. She had to play it cool, she reminded herself. Her few weeks spent working as a maid at Mon Cheri had taught her that well enough by now. 

“Thank you!” Charlotte blushed at the compliment, letting out a small giggle in embarrassment. When she was finally given a question, she enthusiastically bobbed her head back and forth in a nod, clearly happy to answer. “Yep, they’re all completely homemade. And please, go ahead!” Suddenly, she couldn’t help but feel a little self-conscious. What if it wasn’t good enough? She was a klutz, after all, and she wouldn’t be surprised if she got a few ingredients mixed up. Growing more anxious by the second, Charlotte stared at the blue-haired woman as she took a whiff. 

“W-what do you think?”

Stopping by the farmer’s booth, Charlotte was immediately charmed by the small pumpkins on display. How cute! It was the first time she heard of using them as decorations, but she was sure no one would mind if she put one in her hotel room.

Returning the vendor’s smile, she begun to fumble for her pouch of gold. “Could I get a pumpkin carving, please?” Her gaze flickered to the large black dragon behind the stall momentarily, noticing it for the first time. Was that... a real dragon!? Her jaw gaping in surprise, she quickly turned back to the farmer with an excited gleam to her eye. 

“Oh, oh, a dragon ride, too! That’d be, uhm... 2,000G, right?” As she realized what she had just said, Charlotte faltered, knowing that was the exact amount left in her wallet. Ah, it can’t be helped. Nothing else seemed more important than getting to ride a dragon!

Farmer’s Market || Harvest Festival

[✿] — As his way of honoring the nature deities, Raguna felt it most fitting to set up a booth representing different products and aspects of his farm, and hopefully garner the public’s interest in it— maybe even to the point that they would get inspired to do some farming or gardening of their own! There were a lot of awesome things you could get out of the land, after all.

Compared to other booths, it might not have been much… but he was still proud of his contribution. Who couldn’t appreciate a fresh batch of fruits and vegetables, or cute (and slightly magical) charms? The dragon might be a bit much, but he hoped it wouldn’t freak out people too badly. Just because a few dragons attacked the islands every now then didn’t mean they were all bad. 

When someone steps up to his stall, a kind and easygoing smile spreads across Raguna’s face as he gives his greeting. “Hey there, and welcome to Kardia Farm’s booth! How can I help you today?”

Charlotte’s Booth | ♡ | Harvest Festival

Charlotte stood behind her stall with an eager smile, bouncing excitedly on her heels as she waited for someone approach her. Though she didn’t have the largest budget or much memories to begin with, she still wanted to be involved with the festival’s marketplace. Making use of the flora and crystals that were spread across the two islands, she was even able to craft a few accessories all on her own. But only a few, as the others were simply bought amidst her travels or picked from the ground.

As she noticed someone coming up to her stall, Charlotte tried her best to stay composed as she folded her hands above the counter. “Hi! Would you like to buy something?”

Floral Essence [x4 x1] - 1,000G

A thin vial containing a colourful arrangement of flowers inside. Comes in three scents: sweet (orange blossom), elegant (lavender), and cheery (daisy).

Flower Crown [x5 x4] - 750G

A handmade flower crown. Comes in two types: princess and faerie.

An adorable cloak which reaches the waist, but it’s not very useful if you’re looking for full protection. It’s used, but still in pristine condition!

Wandering the marketplace with an overjoyed expression, Charlotte clasped her hands together in delight at the sight of flowers! They looked so pretty that she felt a desperate need to take some home. Oh, maybe she could buy some for her co-workers, too! They were always so patient towards her, so why not pay back the favor with a gift of her own?

Smiling, she pointed at the white and yellow flowers that were sitting at the front of the booth. “A bundle of white irises and daffodils, please!”

Violet’s Flower Booth || Harvest Festival

Violet sat patiently behind her booth, plenty of flowers lined up on the table. They were flowers she grew in her apartment, mostly in the windowsill. Since she didn’t exactly make them professionally, she didn’t charge much. It just didn’t feel right to charge a lot, honestly.

She perked up when she saw someone approach her booth. While Violet’s curse didn’t allow her to speak at the moment, she had a small notepad to use. After all, she wasn’t sure how many people knew sign language!

She flipped over her notepad with her standard greeting, already written.

A wedding!? Charlotte couldn’t believe it when she heard one of her acquaintances was getting married, much less to another elf! Weren’t marriages supposed to be a huge deal between lovers or something? She still didn’t really get it, but thinking it sounded pretty interesting, Charlotte decided to join in on the fun. After all, how could she not celebrate such an important day between her fellow pointed-ear folk?
