About this Blog: 🫒🍉

This blog's purpose is to engage in the conversation around the use of curseforge in the sims modding community and the company's support of Israel and the IDF. This is not a hate-blog, or meant to "cancel" creators. It is an open conversation and call-to-action for popular creators to remove their content from curseforge.

Curseforge, owned by the Israeli company Overwolf, posted a crowdfunding campaign for the IDF at the beginning of the siege on Gaza. They quickly removed it, but there is no reason to believe that they do not continue to support the IDF. The organization they partnered with to raise money for the victims of Oct 8th has Zionism as one of their core values. And in April they hosted the organization, Gvahim, who integrates new settlers into Israel's workforce. An active part of the ongoing colonization of Palestine.

Even besides all of this, the baseline of leaving curseforge is to divest in the Israeli economy while the war on Gaza rages on. An estimated 37,000 Palestinians have been cruelly murdered by Israel. (May, 2024) The number is predicted to be much higher.

Popular creators generate traffic and revenue for the site and contribute a large portion to the nearly 1 billion downloads in the Sims 4 category. Their choices do make a difference.

Providing alternative downloads is a good step, but it is not enough. If you are a modder or custom content creator, I urge you to take part in the mission to leave curseforge as a whole.

Actions: You may tag this blog, link this post, and respectfully request creators remove their content from curseforge on their posts. Don't download from curseforge. Threats, harassment, and antisemitism are not welcome on this blog and with this message. You are not helping by doing so.

Noha @nohastudent25 is a dear friend of mine and a wonderful person who is incredibly kind, warm, selfless, generous, and compassionate. Now, Noha needs our help.

Noha wants to re-enroll in university classes and complete the last stage of her studies to become a certified pharmaceutical technician. This will allow her to gain employment as a pharmacist, fulfill her dream, help the people of Gaza, and support her disabled little sister’s ongoing treatment.

We had previously helped raise funds toward this goal, but unfortunately, administrative issues created a serious complication that resulted in the money never reaching Noha.

7-year-old girl needs to pay for treatment session

Little Joan has severe gastritis caused by IOF-induced malnutrition and stress. More information available here. Her next treatment session is this coming Tuesday, 6 May 2025.

The cost of this session is $700 USD. If her single mother Maha cannot pay the full cost, Joan cannot receive her treatment, and her condition will deteriorate rapidly.

Ibtisam and her children are under fire by the IOF right now!

The IOF is pelting the area with gas grenades, and will likely begin shooting and/or shelling at any moment!

The family is trying to flee, but three family members are physically disabled. 15-y/o Nour has heart disease which limits her mobility, 18-y/o Mohammed’s leg is unusable due to a previous IOF attack, and Ibtisam is in extreme pain from a back injury.

They need transportation to flee, but it costs about $904 USD.

This is very very urgent! I don’t know what the IOF is planning but whatever it is, it is going to happen soon! Please share the family’s campaign and donate if you can!!!!

Single mother with 2 injured children trapped under IOF fire in north Gaza—evacuation needed NOW!!

Maha and the children were not able to evacuate before the IOF surrounded their area. They are under fire NOW, and the IOF is killing people who flee their homes on foot.

Little Khalil was injured after the lOF rigged a nearby house to explode. Joan is still struggling with severe gastritis, and can barely move. They need funds for transportation right now, which is $500 USD. (Once they are out of the attack zone, they will need funds for lodging (a tent or rental space), which we will raise next. For now, we are focusing on the transportation cost.)

a smile appeared on his face, his head whipping around to face her. “how long are you going to keep that on for?” armin asked, his eyes zeroing in on her ghost-face mask.

“what? you don’t like it?” she replied playfully, taking off the mask and revealing her pout, “that’s a shame, it cost me fifteen dollars.”

a sharp ding from the microwave echoed through the kitchen, a warm, buttery scent of popcorn filling the air.

armin pulled the bag from the microwave and gave it a few shakes before tearing it open, pouring the fluffy popcorn into a bowl in front him — the harsh clatter of unpopped kernels hitting the bottom of the bowl breaking through the silence.

maeve’s gaze shifted to his, noticing an endearing glint in his stare.

“i think you look prettier without it.” he added shyly, his blonde bangs feathering over his eyes.

she tilted her head to the side with adoration, a smile playing in the corners of her lips.

a sharp, blood-curdling shriek shot through the speakers of the tv, making them jump away from each other with fright.

maeve blinked a few times as her gaze landed on the screen, her heart still racing — they had forgotten they had the movie ‘scream’ playing.

“seriously? how stupid is this bitch?” connie scoffed, rubbing his hand across his buzzed head with annoyance.

“there’s an active serial killer in my area? oh, well, let me just go down to the basement by myself to grab a beer! what’s the worse that could happen?”

“dude, shut up,” eren snapped, clearly frustrated from having to put up with connie’s commentary all night.

sasha’s gaze snapped to armin and maeve, a glint of hunger in her brown eyes. her stomach grumbled loudly as the smell of fresh popcorn wafted beneath her nose from the kitchen.

“are you guys done in there?” she called out eagerly, her words cutting over the screams coming from the tv.
