I used to be that person who used unrelated quote as a caption to the photo. Eventually, I have learned not to do that anymore, unlesss of course if they are related. I think that is a sign of maturity, at least in my experience. I also used to be that person who cringes whenever I see someone who does that. Now, I have learned to just ignore them. Gusto ko lang i-share kung gaano ko nagustuhan ang pelikulang Never Not Love You.

From Diary ng Panget Days pa lang ay nasubaybayan ko na kung paano nag evolve ang tambalang JaDine. Sila lang ata ang nakitaan ko nang sobrang development sa acting and being artists as well. So ayun na nga umpisa na tayo!

Ang ganda nung pelikula mga paker!!!! Hahahahahahahaha!! Parang wala akong maisusulat kasi parang sapat na ‘yong maganda pero dahil nangako ako sabihin ko 'yong magagandang points nung film! Then yung lesson okay?!

Start tayo sa.

Cinematography - Sobrang simple at fresh nung mga camera angle. Sobrang perfect din nung mga shots para mas mabigyan lalo ng drama 'yong mga nangyayari. Parang ipinasok ka sa pelikula para madamayan mo 'yong conflict ng dalawang character na si Gio at Joanne pati 'yong ibang close up makikita mo 'yong lungkot at saya sa mata nilang dalawa.

Music Scoring ( OST ) - Pucha uwian na may nanalo na!! Sakto 'yong PROM ni Ebe Dancel na acoustic!! Kung may Moira kayong mga babae. May Ebe Dancel kami mga ulooool! Hahaha charot! Pero 'yon nga nakadagdag sa feels talaga 'yong kanta na everytime mag play may kurot lagi sa puso eh. Haha!!

Color Grading - Huy infairness ang ganda nung kulay especially sa Squid Ink tattoo shop ha! Basta ang refreshing ng kulay na sobrang sarap sa mata na pwede mo siyang ulit ulitin na kapag nakita mo 'yong kulay na 'yon nakangiti ka pa rin? Haha! Basta ganun!!

Character Development - Ganda nung pagkakatahi nung Character Development nila simula nung una silang nagkakilala. Ang ganda nung mga simple representations na hindi sinabi ng mga character sa pelikula pero ipinakita ito through visual representations.

Story - So ito na nga!! Ito na 'yong hinihintay niyo! Pucha men!! Sobrang simple ng storya. Dalawang tao na nagmamahalan na may parehas na pangarap sa buhay. Sobrang mature ng film na ito. Pinatunayan ng film na ito na hindi mo kailangan ng mga pabebeng ganap para magpakilig.

Sobrang effortless nung pagpapakilig out of the situation. The smile, the endearment, yung mga hug, yung kahit umiiyak sila may kilig kasi ramdam mo 'yong love na meron yung dalawa sa film. Pucha pasasakayin ka sa buhay ni Gio at Joanne! After mo manuod ng film mapapahanap ka ng jowang tulad nilang dalawa. Yung susuportahan ka sa mga gusto mo, yung sasamahan ka mangarap, yung kayang magtiwala sa 'yo, yung magpu-push sa 'yo to do more.

Dito mo rin matututunan sa film na ito na minsan akala niyo hindi niyo kaya pero once na naiintindihan niyo 'yong isa’t isa at nanaig 'yong pagmamahal at sakripisyo at 'yong pagiging understanding mo as a person makakaya niyo lahat. Ang sarap ipanuod sa mga EX. Ang sarap sabihin sa kanila na puta naman, kung lumaban ka lang at ang hold on siguro ganito tayo, siguro succesful tayong dalawa, siguro nakuha natin mga pangarap natin habang hawak natin ang isa’t isa. Alam niyo 'yon idiniin ng film na ito na kapag may partner ka kahit na sobrang down mo isang I love you lang niya makakaya mo ulit lahat. Hindi rin ginawang kumplikado ang plot kasi straight to the point lahat nung mga nangyayari. Yung mga moment na sarili lang talaga nila ang mga kalaban nila pero sa huli pag-ibig lag talaga ang nanaig. Ang galing talaga especially 'yong pag tackle ng pagiging freelance artist sa mga taong nagtatrabaho talaga na may monthly sahod.

Basta guys, alam niyo naman kapag umabot ng ganitong kahaba 'yong mga review ko ibig sabihin maganda talaga. Sayang hindi ko napanuod 'yong Meet Me at St.Gallen pero feel ko maganda to in their own way. Pero puno ng hope ang pelikulang ito hanggang matapos. Basta manaig ang pag-ibig talaga lahat makakaya. Nakita ko ang sarili ko sa pelikulang ito especially 'yong airport part. Parang isang scene sa libro ko jusko!! Haha!

Kung may flaw man ang pelikulang ito feel ko may makikita kayo sa bandang huli about sa character ni Joanne para sa akin lang ha? Basta di ko pwede i-spoil pero sobrang minimal at acceptable naman. Still I would rate it 10/10. Mga ganitong pelikula ang kailangan mapauod ng kabataan para iba 'yong maging pananaw nila when it comes to relationship. The best!!!! Thank you sa film na ito, maraming salamat sa wakas breaking the norm ang nangyari. Congrats sa mga filmmakers na gumawa ng pelikulang ito. Guys manuod kayo para masuportahan niyo ang review na ito!

The “Peste” Story

  It all started after taking a memorization type of exam. Imagine a powerpoint presentation with more than 90 slides on it, not including another PPT with more than 30 slides. That kinda hell of memorization you have to put into your little head after, if my brain serves me well, two week announcement of scheduled exam. Of course, since you have a lot of major exams each scheduled every day; you had to deal with a one night stand studying habit, as my friend fondly called it. Hahaha.

For students who are not used to memorization type of exam like me, it was more than a test of survival. It seemed like the sun has adjusted its distance 50 meters above our school’s rooftop. It was like experiencing hell.

Studying while letting everything retain in your head was nerve-wracking. Of course, it really is impossible. We are not computers after all. But I actually admire classmates who did really memorize everything from the first word of the slides down to its last.

But this definitely not just for all those memorization, survival and struggle stuff.

After that text message forwarded by my classmate that I had to take a removal exam, peste was all I did say.
