Til this day I still feel very proud of myself for being one of those canon rpers who wants to learn more about someone's oc and allow my mutual to gush about them to me <3 They always get surprised that I care about their oc because its something that they're not use to receiving at all and it breaks my heart mentally whenever I read it.

It fucking freaks them the fuck out! I know exactly what you mean! They get so scared to even show one, and the worst part? There are those ruining this for ya and me, these fucks will act as if they looked, claim they love the unpublished oc, but then never go into detail or actually talk about these unpublished ocs! HELL, SOME WILL GO AS LOW SEND HATE ON ANON DISSING THESE UNPUBLISHED OCS.

These people genuinely believe they have pure shit, thus get so terrified of showing them off. Going as far as to ROADBLOCK THEMSELVES. They gear up and tense up, legit do the online version of going TIGHT LIPPED. CAN'T YAS SEE THE DAMAGES YA HAVE DONE?? ARE YA NOTICING??

Canon rpers saying that they're oc friendly but hardly interact with said ocs but they do little interactions. Hell I've seen some of my oc mutuals ask if they're being pushy when it comes to ships or cringe and they receive no response. Sometimes they'd go as far as to do a poll. You hardly ever if not ever see canon rpers do or say that. It's a miracle that ocs still continue to stay in the rpc despite being treated like shit in the year of 2024. If I wrote an oc I'd delete my blog I know I'm weak.. but I couldn't put up with people mistreating me like that, but I will say is that oc rpers are stronger than me.

Mah ya couldn't have worded this more perfectly. Again, I got a follower who legit just quit after over a five fucking year-long wait. They've completely changed their blog, even snapped and sent a long, worrying rant toward the rpcs... Only for most to STILL ignore them and straight up unfollow them. I've been watching this horror unfold, and I am simply at a loss on how to help them. Apart of me wants to scream to the sky for this person, the other part warns me to use extreme caution as they seem to be in a delicate mind state. The last thing I wanna be is responsible for any form of self-destruction. Honestly? I don't think I could ever wait five years to write/interact/befriend someone on here....

There's so much wild nonsense in the RPC I could talk about, but tbh I think the most RELEVANT thing is just how clearly the clowns in your inbox have demonstrated what I've always known. 'Rules for thee but not for me.' This is the same crowd that'll kick and scream 'block and move on!!' but they are physically incapable of actually doing so themselves. Even those that don't come stomping into people's inboxes still feel the need to take screens and pass it around all their besties to mock. Not only is it to seek validation for whatever petty judgment they have, but also to ensure everyone in their circle is being a nice, loyal sheep. Either you're with them or you're against them, they don't have the brain power to process any more complex or nuanced response. Source: I used to be in a LOT of private servers with hypocrites like that.

Which, consequently, is why this blog's notes are so quiet; I'm sure I'm not the only one who knows these people refuse to fight fair.

How about this: they can whine about drama clogging up the tags when they get just as up in arms about all the promos for blogs that don't actually roleplay. Those are SIGNIFICANTLY worse because there's more of them and they even pretend to be what you're looking for. But SIKE, they only rp with their friends and only once in a blue moon and aren't even accepting new partners-- or better yet, block anyone who follows first. WHY ARE YOU PROMOTING YOURSELVES THEN??? You know what's killing the rpc? Canon rpers who are oh so popular, write a million starters with a million followers, pay lip service and say they love you and your OCs, and then proceed to only actually respond to other canons. Fuck that shit six ways to Sunday.

I'm very against discord rp for the reason of people writing taboo stuff like incest/minor x adult/ rape fetish just so they can get away with it. I can tell that my mutuals probably look down on me because I wish they would write on their blogs instead of being on discord. And they seem to be the type who looks down on rpers who prefer to write on tumblr than discord. It's okay stay your asses over there in your lil'clubhouse.

I once had an old mutual friend get yelled at by one of their mutual for being excited when it came to gushing about their muses. This was talked about between us over on discord, I remember they told me that they were afraid of getting too excited because they didn't want to be yelled at. Now this was published ocs they were writing. Til this day I'm still at loss of words and shocked at rpers who act like that towards their fellow partners.. Imagine getting yelled at for being enthusiastic about your muse and your partner's and simply want to gush with them. smh..

It's some of the fucking oddest behavior, its like ya are being punished for liking the thing before ya can even get into it. It all falls into one another see?? There'll always be SOMETHING wrong with unpublished writers! It ain't gonna change unless we all got together and made it happen!

One of the things that really irks me is being blocked by another rper esp if you don't know them like god.. sometimes rpers be WAY too damn trigger to block another rpers over stupid ass reasons or no reason at all. I can't help but admit to being a little paranoid if someone is spreading shit about me instead of being an adult and coming forth with whatever problem they have with me, but I stay in my own line. At least in the normal fandom ppl will only block for a reason! and you can put two and two together.

All those fucking DNIs when the ones that make sense the most are DNI unless 18+ for NSFW preferences. It's all so politicized these days. Again, I know someone in my followers right now who could use a friend like ya. They literally just left the rpcs and quit roleplay altogether simply due to the lack of interaction they received with them for over five fucking years. Ya heard me, they've been on this site for five years and not a single fucking soul has even liked their out-of-character posts. They had over 100 followers...

This is probably me reaching some.. but from my observation with the rpc vs the fandom. I come to realize just how appreciated and loved ocs are in fanfic & art than they are in roleplay; while in rp ocs are treated like shit and viewed as parasites that need to leave out of canon spaces which is so unfair. It sure feels like a TOTAL different community that tries desperately to separate themselves from the fandom. Makes me feel some type of way towards the rpc itself.. :/
