don't you think it's kinda unfair the some people won multiple of the sweepstakes this week while others won none? i feel like it would've been better to limit people to one win to spread out some of the prizes here..

hi! we definitely understand the concern and we do want to spread the giveaway love to as many of our members as possible! however, we will still be allowing members who have won in the past to react to new prizes they have not already won. but we will ask that if members have already won specific prizes (ie: the points) not to react to those giveaways.

the grimes family are affluent, born from media fame and are now a cobbled together family consisting of siblings who may or may not be fully related to each other.

their dad is a film actor who’s constantly in a box-office hit and has been through enough relationships that even every timeline for the subject is missing at least one or two people. he’s better at faking affection in his roles than actually being a good dad to his kids, constantly away for shoots and trying to pit them against each other for his limited time and attention. he tried to push all of them to follow his footsteps especially if they were the more promising of his kids.

in another world, this made them each other’s greatest enemy.

in this one, it made them kinder, more understanding, finding solidarity among each other.

some of them only saw each other occasionally or on holidays, living mainly with their mothers or other relatives, but they have a group chat and be each other’s +1 for events. not all of them really took to stardom or wanted to stay but i think they try to be as supportive as possible to the people who did.

for the most part - they get along. there’s probably a golden child or one or two who are more “loyal” to dad or get along better? their family is stupidly famous - it’s up the individual if they take advantage of it or try to just pretend they’re absolutely not related to this mess that is their father.

in total there’s about 6 kids total (it’s super open if you want them to be adopted, siblings from the same marriage, etc. - just please keep in mind their dad is white when choosing fcs!) and range around ages 21-late 30′s. most of them probably bounced around both coasts a lot. their dad had a place in cali but also in ny and who cares about stability okay.

THE BAD LUCK CLUB

when my boy casper (26) first came to new york, he met a bunch of disasters and gathered them all into some sort of misfit friend group. some of them might have shared a flat for a while, some might still. they all have low ratings or are in the process of improving their ratings, as they are on the fringe of society in some way: as outcasts, shunned citizens, criminals, or simply just looked down upon and forgotten. they acknowledge the power of the rating system, but it doesn’t mean they all adhere to it or care for climbing back up to the top at all after all they’ve been through. while some of them might be working to improve their ratings just for a better living standard, they’re a group that has little regard for the fakeness of the system. they are close to one another because they all act real and can’t hide their bs from each other. they don’t try to pretend they are something they are not (most of the time).

i’m loosely basing the archetypes off characters from the show misfits, but you don’t have to have seen it or strictly follow anything! just giving u some ideas info and inspo below. gender and ages can vary but everyone should be 23/24+

the alisha: played by casper boo. used to be a big partier and heavy drinker to forget the woes of his past, which drove him to new york. likes feeling needed and desired. craves touch, but is afraid of intimacy after heartbreak. guarded and acts aloof but he cares deeply. uses adult ent as a means to improve his ratings rapidly and make money to go back to college for his master’s degree and hopefully get a successful job. appears two-faced and mysterious, like a big gamer of a system which has failed him. 

the nathan: reserved for naomi. acts like a clown with no direction or aim in life. treats life as a joke and just wants to laugh it up to the fullest. prone to screwing up everything always no matter how hard they try. has no filter whatsoever and kind of liked riling people up for entertainment and watching them crack. has a petty criminal past. def loves their cons and practical jokes. kinda dumb. in the show nathan had the power of immortality, so they live very indulgently with little regard for anyone except this group of outcasts that are the closest thing to a home they’ve ever had.

the curtis: was super popular before having a fall from grace with a really huge scandal. like steroids and drugs for an athlete as an example. unlike the rest of the misfits, the curtis desires nothing more than to reclaim their spot at the top, however unachievable that is as their spotlight has fallen to someone else. they’ve been ousted from their career path/domain and not welcomed back. probably the fakest of all of the members because they cannot confront the lie they’ve been telling themselves about being perfect. and no one except casper really understands why they would want to return to such fakery and flattery. has a cocky sort of attitude. doesn’t like displaying how much they truly care about people and things, bottles things up. in the show, curtis had the power to rewind time, so this character is full of a lot of regret and sort of despair deep down.

the kelly: reserved for sahara. has probably always had a low rating since they were first registered due to being poor and their parents being unsavory characters. perfectly capable and smart, but unable to get out of the rut. bitter and angry bc of the system that seems immobile and unforgiving. might be looked at as a bit of a thug. has problems with aggression and vulgar, candid speech. aches to be at the top, but has probably given up on living the dream so they just pretend and take from others what they feel they deserve. in the show, kelly had the power to hear people’s thoughts, so this character is really self conscious about how everyone sees them.


the simon: observant but often overlooked by everyone around them. nothing remarkable so they slide off the radar. probably bullied in school for just looking or dressing like a weirdo. considered a freak. easily teased. meek and shy and quite naïve. wants to be powerful and feel some semblance of control but it aint ever gonna happen bub. probably a little weasel the gang always has to take care of. some are kind of awful to them but they’re just happy to have a couple of people who seem to enjoy their company. and call “home.” in the show simon had the power of invisibility and he tried to set someone’s house on fire??? which ought to speak for itself huh. little creeper.

a stressed™ assistant professor at columbia university up for tenure. she moved to the city approx 5 years ago after getting one of those coveted full-time positions. she’s a just-outside-of-boston native and was temporarily working at tufts as an admissions rep prior to landing her first academic appointment. though she loves what she does (re: her career), she sometimes wonders if she’s neglected other meaningful parts of her life and is having something of a delayed quarter-life crisis (or early mid-life crisis depending on how you see it).

it’s hard to think about new york city, especially the upper east side, without thinking of the astor-calloway’s. they’re as old money as it comes, with rex’s grandfather founding the family dynasty in real estate and construction called astor industries inc in the early 20th century. the company has since then been passed down rex in the late ‘80s, when his father reginald retired. rex now rules it with an iron first, owns multiple propiertes across the world, including hotels, restaurants and the likes. because owning half of manhattan is not enough, rex is running in the 2021 nyc mayoral election.

the astor-calloway’s present a united front, the business and keeping the family name untarnished being the common goal, as has been instilled into them from birth. however, scandals are highly likely, and paying people off to keep quiet about it even more. what goes on behind closed doors – now that’s another thing entirely. 

the kids were raised by nannies for the most part, nicole never being the picture-perfect doting mother, and rex way too preoccupied with the company, although he loves his family dearly. which is why he orders them all to the home located on the upper east side every single friday night for family dinners.

one way or another, they’re likely to be involved in the family business, but that isn’t a must by any means. i would love for there to be 2 more sisters and one brother. age wise i’ve given a general range, although twins could fit in anywhere! i’m also open to cousins and the like, or if someone wanted to snag the parents, let me know! in general, if you got questions, hmu on discord (bitchette#0802 or santa sadie on the @lovealarmrp server) <3
