I don't understand why there are blogs that compare Haytham to Achilles in terms of parternity and come to the conclusion that "Haytham" is not as bad or as racist as Achilles.

I love Haytham but let's not forget the things he did:

1: Hiding the truth from Connor about it being Washington who ordered his people killed and looking for the perfect time to expose it and manipulate the situation in his favor (spoiler: it backfired).

2: "Haytham never ordered him to kill Achilles. Achilles always reminded him to kill his father" I've played AC3 three times (I'm already on my fourth) and I don't think at any point Haytham knows that Achilles is Connor's master, so this argument is not very valid.

3: "Haytham will let Connor make his decisions, let him be free" Yes but Haytham was always getting in the way, like killing the people Connor was trying to get information out of or questioning his decisions. I also remember what Haytham said to Connor the first time they met: "[...] And maybe I can still save you from your ignorance" (I doubt it was a joke).

3: Haytham decided to work with Charles Lee to the end. (There is nothing more to add here.)

About Achilles I'm not going to say anything until I play the game again and analyze his interaction with Connor.

If I am wrong about anything, feel free to correct me, but obviously with respect.

I feel like drawing something, but nothing specific comes to mind. Maybe I’ll browse Pinterest for some nice photos and do a study of one ✍️

Listen, I’m not a fan of Achilles either, but it’s undeniable that he grew as a person after the events of Rogue.

At the end of the day, Ratonhnhaké:ton saw Achilles Davenport as a parental figure.

If you interpret that as a racist take, then there’s something seriously wrong with you.

Another one for mermay !! Tweaked Ratonhnhaké:ton’s design a bit for this au to add the masking around the eyes, extra markings on his body and the woven kelp wrappings around his arms to mimic his arm bands from the game counterpart.

He’s a transient orca (Bigg’s killer whale), which shares waters with pinnipeds more often (which Ziio, Kanen’tó:kon and Oiá:ner are in this au). Transient orcas also hunt more using stealth, so I feel like that matches him quite well. In general I want to still keep him as an orca since I want something to match his large stature and match his skill as a strategist due to their high intelligence. They’re apex hunters, and are incredibly family oriented (and matrilineal!!), so he for sure looks after and is protective of anyone he considers a part of his family. Also recently, orcas have been getting a reputation for destroying expensive yachts, so that’s a little extra fun thing dhdhdh

It honestly made me feel sick. I was just scrolling through their blog, it was literally the first one I came across. Then I actually screamed when I saw the kind of things they were posting.

Thank you for calling out the person that you did in your recent posts. I used to follow them because some of their takes made sense, but holy cow…I’m autistic. Forced medication is such a horrible take to have.

Trust me, not everyone here’s a bully. But thanks for calling out those that are.

Right?! My older brother is on clozapine, and he was actually forced to take it while hospitalized—literally forcibly given it. It was incredibly traumatic for him. So when people make jokes like this, it honestly breaks my heart. My brother truly suffers from schizophrenia, and there's nothing funny about what he’s been through.
