Random Question - I'm trying to quit drinking, but for a first date I think wine bar / pub is always easiest and I like being able to chat easily. What would you (aka a hot girl) want to do as a first date when the guy is alcohol free? Is pub weird if I get alcohol free? I hate mini golf which all my very non-dating-atm friends suggest

helloooo my darling. very valid very hard question because i’ve been trying to do the same thing but there are just some situations that feel like any other beverage would be weird. for example i live going to see a movie and get a drink at the bar first. ordering a coke to sit and drink by myself isn’t mysterious or romantic, it’s just plain weird hahahah

okay firstly i blush at calling me a hot girl. i don’t think pub or bar is weird alcohol free, get a lemon lime & bitters or a ginger beer. ask if they have any tasty cordials or non-alcohol cocktails. we have a lot of non-alcoholic beers in aus which can be handy for that placebo effect.

i also think the right person can acknowledge that the vibe of a bar is the perfect choice even if the drink selections aren’t.

my own compromise at the moment is just have one. i should drink in a way that i can still drive. i’m going on a date tonihht and i’ll have a glass of wine and then sip on sparkling water for the rest of the night
