The mere MENTION of danger was enough to get her blood pumped ; the thought perfectly poised to bring a smile to her face. Safety was boring, mundane - and what was danger when you had the power to heal yourself before pain registered ? ❝ Did you have something in mind ? ❞

AND THERE IT GOES AGAIN, the difference in their public status. Juvia, recognised, respected. As she ought to be - a master of her magic, the ocean itself given a form. Incredible. Worth looking up to.

Whereas Chelia would forever be Lamia's protégé ; her own achievements merited under the Guild's name. Not a worthwhile mage in her own right, despite her desperate attempts to be so. Her generation were receiving their acolades - becoming Guildmasters ; mastering their magics ; saving their world... and her song remained unsung, forever passed over for another.

The public opinion was ever so fickle, and still Chelia craved to appease them.

She hasn't experienced love in a long while, at least not in the way the water mage infers. Still, blue stains her skin, runs in her blood ; makes it so hard to see another as anything other than ideas.
