Dark S2E7 - S2E8 Parallels
Parallels different, but the same Martha x Jonas Martha x the Stranger She knows it’s her Jonas, because he will always react the same when she touches his face. I know all this thing is still a taboo, but there is a beauty in their emotions and facial expressions anyway. I cannot imagine, how it might feel to wait 33 years for the love of your life, who died in your arms, to touch your face again. When I look at the Stranger I truly see Jonas. Martha had just observed the same.

Dark S2E4, S2E5, S2E8 Parallels
Parallels different, but the same
Martha x Jonas Martha x the Stranger
Continuation of the topic of parallels in Dark:
Let’s not focus here on by which moral standarts it is wrong and disturbing, just please, put it aside for a minute, alright?
There is a beauty in their tender moments together and in their dreams about each other. This is how she dreams about their kiss in a moment of intimacy. This is how he dreams about their moment of happiness 33 years later. It haunts both of them, because she thinks she lost him and he knows he already lost her. Deep down, she knows that he is alive, as well as he knows that this time - she could live. She tries to find him, whereas he tries to do everything he can in order to save her. Their love for each other is so strong, that none of the crazy stuff really matters. Just take a look at them then, young and in love, pressing their foreheads together. It was probably for the first time, when they felt truly connected to each other, hours before everything was ruined. And look at them now, one year and a week later for her, and 33-34 years later for him, hours before the apocalypse. You still can see their unique connection. It’s so present, that you can feel it even through your screens. Regardless of their time apart, regardless of messed up bloodlines and time travels – their connection was always there.

reasons why voltron’s writing is weak
nothing is substantially foreshadowed or set up before it becomes crucial to plot or character points (ie. keith joining the blade, oriande, the red paladin apparently being the bp’s right hand)
rather than writing the characters as they are (in s1) they’re continously written as what the writers think they are, or what they think the characters should be (ie. keith thinks of himself as lonely, not edgy)
they shit all over their own lore (paladin lion bonds, mostly)
they change characterization whenever it suits them (ie. allura never acting like a leader whenever keith is in charge, coran being the one with stereotypical thoughts about other aliens in s2, keith being okay with being bp in s7 even though every other time he hated it)
relationships and plot points flip flopping all over the place (lance seemingly accepting that allura doesn’t like him back in 6x02, but trying to ‘get’ with her in 6x03, and still projecting his feelings onto her in 6x04)
by extension, relationships and plot points just being flat out dropped and/or then suddenly picked back up with a lot of focus with no warning (shapeshifting, clone arc, pidge’s family)
power limitations are never put in place (ie. what voltron can’t do, limits to altean alchemy, what abilities alteans have, what differences there are between sacred and non-sacred alteans beyond oriande, etc.)
nothing grounds the characters’ journey, so there is never any sense of progress (we never know where the team is headed, they jump from spot to spot, we’re never given a lot of details about the war or what the endgame plan is, power upgrades come suddenly and/or without warning)
inconsistent or non-existent character arcs (seriously, what is pidge’s arc beyond looking for her family; how is she forced to change? // keith never needed a leadership arc because he never had to earn it // coran has so much unexplored potential in many, many ways)
harps on about found family but it feels completely hollow (because the team is almost ever completely united, is almost always at odds with each other in some way whether about feelings or what they want, we never see them have fun or bond 90% of the time, they never talk about anything, one or more of the team has been missing or gone for a long time, or is completely excluded outright)
