Eighteen-year-old Viserys consummated his marriage to Aemma when she was thirteen years old just after she began menstruating. Fifteen-year-old Aegon consummated his marriage to Helaena when she was thirteen. And people say that it was necessary and that both princes needed heirs immediately.
But we have a young fifteen-year-old King Jaehaerys whose marriage was opposed by his Hand and mother and he needed heirs to strengthen his right to the throne. But nevertheless, Jaehaerys refuses to have sex with thirteen-year-old Alysanne, whom he considers too young. And note, Jaehaerys waited two years until Alysanne herself insisted that their marriage be consummated.
We have thirteen-year-old Baela who insists on marrying Jace immediately, but Jacaerys himself asks her to wait.
We have Aegon, who waited several years after the Daenaera began menstruating before consummating their marriage.
Personally, it seems to me that Viserys and Aegon did not care at all about their wives. I often see opinions that say that Viserys and Aegon are not to blame, they are just teenagers, and they were allegedly forced to consummate the marriage by Baelon and Alicent in order to strengthen their sons' rights to the throne. Hello? They literally had sex with their thirteen year old wives. How could they be forced to do this? At most, all those around them could do was to harass and irritate Viserys and Aegon with lectures about the importance of duty and the presence of heirs, but no one could physically force them to consummate the marriage.
If Aegon and Viserys truly cared about their wives, they would have waited a couple of years. And as a result, we all know what the consequences of premature consummation were for Aemma, and poor Helaena became the mother of two children at fourteen.
Viserys deserves the title of "Best father of the year". For his eldest daughter, he arranged a marriage that was destined to be unhappy and barren, and he forced his youngest daughter to marry at thirteen (Viserys himself consummated his first marriage to a thirteen-year-old wife, he certainly knew about the possible negative consequences for a wife who was too young, but he wasn’t care about the risk to his daughter’s health).
Viserys and Aegon are two selfish bastards.

I noticed a small interesting detail.
The way people call Arya ugly because in Winterfell she was surrounded by Sansa's friends who mocked her and called her ugly, which was not true.
The way people call Rhaenyra ugly is because the historical chronicles were written by people who hated Rhaenyra and humiliated her in every possible way.
From the words of other ASOIAF characters, we know that Arya is cute and not ugly. But it’s a pity that the historical chronicles of the dance of dragons do not have another, less misogynistic narrator who would add some truth to the ton of hate against Rhaenyra.

“-We talk of four grown dragons ridden by four grown people. - Rhaenyra spoke, cutting Rhaenys off. - What do we have? We have three very large, very formidable, ridden by yourself, my prince, and I. And then two other large dragons ridden by boys.
-Sons to the Rogue Prince. - Lord Bar Emmon said.
-Boys. - Rhaenyra said. - Eleven and twelve. Oh, I know they are eager for it, they are Daemon’s children so I would expect no less, but it will not happen”

There is something interesting in the fact that Viserys, at fifty-two, could no longer walk up stairs and moved everywhere in a chair.
But Viserys's fifty-five-year-old cousin Princess Rhaenys was still fearless and fierce as in her youth and died fighting.
Daemon, at forty-nine years old, managed to get his wife pregnant and made an epic leap from his dragon on his opponent's dragon.
And it is worth mentioning the legendary Visenya Targaryen. At the age of seventy-two, she actively helped her son in the fight against religious fanatics. She had burned house Blanetree, Terrick, Deddings, Lychester and Wayn.

It's a shame how GRRM threw all the potential that Rhaenyra and Helaena had into the trash. I mean, why didn't he allow these two to take part in the war?
Rhaenyra is the youngest dragonrider in Targaryen history. She is a more experienced rider than any of her siblings. Syrax was described in the book as a large and formidable dragon.
Helaena tamed Dreamfire at the age of eleven. Dreamfire is one of the oldest Targaeryen dragons. She is older and larger than Sunfire and Tessarion.
It seems to me that both sisters could be quite dangerous on the battlefield, but for some reason, GRRM decided to make both women suffer. Rhaenyra suffered a painful miscarriage (although in the original version of the story, Visenya was supposed to survive), and Helaena went crazy and committed suicide. This is such a lost opportunity. It seems to me that if Rhaenyra and Helaena took part in the battles, then the Dance of the Dragons would be even more interesting.

Green fans, when Rhaenyra has bastards:😱🤢🤮😡🤬
Green fans, when Aegon and Aemond have bastards:😀😇😍😎👑
I'm still shocked by those people who seriously believe that Aemond's bastard from Alys (whose existence has not even been confirmed) should ascend to the Iron Throne.

Rhaenyra is seen as a cruel and terrible person when she didn't shed a drop of her siblings blood, didn't like fighting, and spared her evil stepmother who made her miserable for years and spoke disrespectfully about Rhaenyra's dead sons. I'm willing to bet that Alicent would never have shown such leniency towards Rhaenyra (Alicent offered to cripple and then wanted to kill an innocent ten-year-old boy just because he was Rhaenyra's son).
Or how Rhaenyra is condemned for raising taxes to replenish the treasury stolen by the greens, but when Aegon, during martial law, wants to build two golden statues for two brutal mass murderers, his fans praise him.

Guys, now we're going to laugh. I've seen some debate online regarding how Jaehaerys would feel about Alicent and Viserys marrying. Some people write quite persistently that Jaehaerys would have approved of such a marriage and in general he loved Alicent like a daughter, and even more than his real daughters.
Firstly, about that Jaehaerys mistook Alicent for his daughter. Jaeherys had senile dementia and he no longer recognized the people around him. Anyone could have been on Alicent place; Jaehaerys still confused someone else with Saera.
Secondly, let's look at marriages among the descendants of Jaehaerys. Initially, he planned to betroth his heir Aemon to Daenerys, and after her death to Alyssa. And he really would have done it if not for Alysanne's intervention. As a result, Jaehaerys approved the marriage of his heir to Lord Baratheon's sister, who was half Velaryon from her mother side. There is no need to write about Baelon and Alyssa. Before Vaegon was sent to the Citadel, Jaehaerys did not consider any other candidates for the role of Vaegon's wife, except for one of his sisters. Daella married Lord Arryn. Of the three young men from Saera's inner circle, two were heirs, and one was a young lord. If the king had never found out what his daughter was doing, he would have allowed Saera to marry one of these young men. Viserra was betrothed to Lord Manderly. Rhaenys married Lord Velaryon, and Viserys's wife was the daughter of Lord Arryn, and she was half Targaryen. Daemon married a woman without Valyrian blood, but Rhea was the only heir to the Runestone and had a large dowry.
And now we are to believe that Jaehaerys would approve of the king's marriage to Alicent, a woman without Valyrian blood, the niece of a lord, the daughter of a landless knight, who are completely dependent on the will of Lord Hightower? Not to mention that Laena Velaryon exists. Great-granddaughter of Jaehaerys, rider of the oldest and largest dragon in the world, daughter of Lord Velaryon, whose mother and brother are also dragonriders. A marriage between Viserys and Laena would unite the bloodlines of Jaehaerys' favorite sons, Aemon and Baelon.
Jaehaerys would never have approved of Viserys' marriage to Alicent, given the fact that the marriage produced a sullen and lustful slacker, a stupid and hot-tempered psychopath (who was a cheap version of Maegor), and a "gentle", "polite" and "daring" terrorist and war criminal.

Good afternoon! I have a question regarding Moondancer and Baela, is Moondancer her cradle dragon? Or was she born later? When they had returned to Westeros. Since she was too small for her to ride at the beginning of the dance and yet Joffrey who was born a year later could ride Tyraxes as far as I can remember.
It's not mentioned in the books, but most people, including myself, believe that Moondancer was hatched in Baela's cradle.
As for Moondancer's size, I like the theory that each dragon has a different body type. Moondancer may well have been small in size from birth and should not have been very large to begin with.
Rhaena's (Daemon's daughter) dragon, Morning, at six years old, was large enough to carry nineteen-year-old Rhaena.
Rhaena's (Aenys's daughter) dragon, Dreamfire, was described as newly hatched when given to nine-year-old Rhaena, but within three years, princess had already become Dreamfire's rider.

She doesn't need the Iron Throne to make men dream of marrying her.

Hello! I would like to ask who in your opinion was Rhaenyra's favorite child and which was Daemon's. In my opinion, Daemon's would be Aegon as he was his first male child, heir and legacy, something tremendously important for a man of his time. With Rhaenyra I would say Jacaerys or Lucerys, in the end she had them at a difficult time in her life and I think they were her strength and hope, in a way I think she was very similar to King Viserys in this, she may have loved Daemon more than Harwin, but she definitely cared more about the children she had with Harwin. She calls them her sweet boys and their deaths hurt her a lot, she always saw them as a source of pride, especially Jacaerys who would succeed her, so I noticed a difference in the treatment, she only seemed to pay a little more attention to Aegon when she had lost practically everything or because he demanded more attention due to the trauma he was carrying from Viserys's supposed death, it doesn't bother me because I like the Velaryon princes but I think it's obvious. Seeing her anger and pain with the loss of the Velaryon princes and then seeing that when they are going to kill her and Aegon is possibly the next to die, she does not use her last words to try to ask for mercy for her son or say goodbye, I will not deny that I like that she curses the usurper , but this fact catches my attention, it is a moment that brings me mixed feelings. So if I have to stick with a final answer I would say Daemon-Aegon (closely followed by Baela who was so similar to him) and Rhaenyra-Jacaerys (definitely, for her the pain of Jace's death is so strong that her pain is addressed only this fact and not what she felt for the loss of Viserys as well, the author gave much more relevance to her pain over the loss of her firstborn and heir). In the end, I also think she spent a lot more time with Jacaerys and Lucerys because they were the ones destined to inherit something and meanwhile Daemon spent more time with the sons they had in common since none of them had so many responsibilities for the future. So of course there would be more connection with those she spent the most time with, the same in Daemon's case.
Have a good day 🫶🏻
I think Daemon's favorite child will be Aegon. Since it has been mentioned several times that Daemon wants a son. First Mysaria's child, then Laena's son, and Aegon's birth was described as Daemon FINALLY having a son.
As for Rhaenyra, I once mentioned that I think Rhaenyra is the best mother in the history of Westeros and I don’t think she, like Viserys, played favorites. I think Rhaenyra loved all of her children equally, regardless of birth order or who the boys' father was.

And what do you think about the trailers?
Nothing good. Unfortunately, I still don't see the Targaryen fire in Emma. Rhaenys still talks like "I am the smartest pacifist who killed many common people at the coronation of a usurper." Alicent still constantly cries, whines and believes that Viserys wanted his eldest son to be the heir. Syrax is still not growing, although according to canon, she was a large and dangerous dragon. I don’t even want to remember what happened to the Conqueror’s crown. What about Aegon and Viserys? Where is the future of House Targaryen? Where are the next kings, one of whom is Daenerys' ancestor? They are not even on the stills. People who have not read the book do not even remember the existence of the boys and do not know how important they will play in the future. The only positive is that it looks like Tom was given more screen time.

Oh and I forgot to add that no Viserys was also right about genetics being surprising. That the Velaryon boys are white with brown hair is no proof that they are "bastards". There is white in their family and the show even confirms that the boys have blood from the baratheon family. There is nothing to prove by their appearance that they are not the children of Laenor and Rhaenyra, even if we the viewer know that they are not.
I don't even know how to answer. The boys are obviously bastards in both the book and the show. Even if the Greens didn't exist, rumors about their origins would still exist. Especially if Daemon's children existed. The twins were born from the union of Velaryon and Targaryen, like Rhaenyra's eldest boys (officially). People might just look at Baela and Rhaena first, and then Jace, Luke and Joffrey, and then wonder what went wrong.
My feelings for Jace, Luke and Joffrey are complicated. They were good people and Rhaenyra loved them very much, but I think Rhaenyra made a mistake when she decided to have children out of wedlock. And I can understand how Jace was born, and even Luke. After all, Alicent, without a drop of Valyrian blood, constantly gave birth to children with Valyrian appearance. There was a possibility that Rhaenyra's sons could be like their mother. But after Luke was born, it was already clear that there was no hope that the third baby would look like a Targaryen.
Although I kind of like how Rhaenyra basically told Viserys and his council to fuck off after they forced her to marry a famous gay man, and decided to have children with the man she chose.

My god... I'm so tired of seeing posts saying that the goal of dance is not to choose sides because everyone is equally bad. Please spare me all this stupidity. Not to mention all these posts about Daemyra being a groomer and Viserys being a pedophile (bullshit from people who probably never opened story books and dictionaries), always ironically from people being from team greens... (hello hypocrisy, you're defending a fucking rapist...) Anyway, I can't count the number of crazy people where the blocking button has been used since the release of the two trailers...
In dance, you really don't have to choose a side. Everything is clear. The Greens went against the will of the king, usurped the rightful heir, started a war, were responsible for massive destruction, burned cities, and this army of believers and god worshipers of the Hightowers were responsible for some of the worst destruction of the city and violence against women and girls.
Rhaenyra was merely trying to reclaim what was rightfully hers, and her allies were simply remaining true to the oaths they had sworn to the king. Literally the worst thing the Blacks have done is Blood and Cheese and raising taxes.
And don't get me started on trailers. They just made me want to throw up and proved once again that there is no hope for this show and the writers not learn from their mistakes.
