the last of our kind: chapter one

For as long as they can remember, it has always been Jane and Kori against the world. Two girls about to start their last agonizing year of high school before they escape the suburban sprawl and taste freedom for the first time. Here's the thing: Kori and Jane get wrapped up in this lie. Everyone thinks they pulled off the prank of the century, except they didn't and they have no clue who actually did. Suddenly the plans of staying under the radar for the year are impossible as all eyes are on them. And telling the truth is definitely out of the question. Especially when the girl Kori has been harboring a massive crush on for years begins to notice her. Or when the captain of the cheerleading team has a sudden interest in Jane. The both of them have to make the most of things, before their lie they've built comes crashing down.
