I would like to say SwissAus is the exact pair with the most sense of being ex-bfs.

But I also think as they still care about each other and are both neutral now, they still have the chance to repair their relationship and get back together.

However, this is only the case when they are countries. In human alternative universe, I don't think they would have enough time to realize their true feelings and get back. I mean they are not frank people, and they even cheat themselves about their true feelings. So, if they miss each other as humans, they might miss the whole life... (though I don't always write that way :) )
