Something I truly despise about femdom is how quickly lots of us reproduce the manosphere bullshit.

Every time I get here, on Reddit, on Twitter/X, or on any other site about femdom, I always end up finding the same type of comments soon enough. "You're a beta if you're a sub" "You're not enough of a man if you're a sub" "You're less of a man if you're a sub" and, while I understand the appeal for humiliation (hell, it's one of my kinks) I think we should analyze the whys behind it, shall we?

Why would you, a man, be "less of a man" if you're a sub? Because obeying women turns you on? Because you're subservient to women? That makes you a "beta" or a "sissy"? What is a true man then? Someone who subjects women? Someone who has female subs? This mindset is inherently problematic because, deep down, is rooted in misogyny. Being a sub doesn't make you any less of a man, and it definitely doesn't make you a beta, because beta males don't even fucking exist. It was based on a poorly made study that has been consistently debunked ever since its conception, even by its own author.

I may not be the right person to say this because I'm a man after all, but femdom world is WAY more male-centric than we'd like to believe. I know it's ironic because femdom is supposedly about women, their sexuality and their empowerment, but let's face it, we're not there yet, and this kind of stuff proves it. Only sexist men see serving women as a shame on itself. Sure, most men (most people, actually) don't enjoy the idea of fully submitting to someone else at all, and that doesn't make them sexist, but actually enjoying being submissive and acting as if that made you less of a man is misogynistic. You don't have to be dominant to be a man, you just have to identify yourself as a man, and that's it.

Again, this is not to kink-shame people into humiliation, since I myself am into it, but some things are wrong and should be analyzed to become better people. The same way that white girls into raceplay with black subs should be frowned upon, submissive men who consider themselves shit for enjoying serving women should be frowned upon as well. BDSM world can be very rough on itself, don't make your way through it even harder with your non-solved misogyny.
