“Hans!” Anna jumped at the voice behind her. She whirled around and stepped in front of the present she had just placed under the Christmas tree. “Uh…it’s nothing!”

Hans raised an eyebrow. “Nothing, huh?” He then pretended to pout. “What a shame. I had hoped you had something for me.”

Despite his mopey look, Anna saw the familiar flirty glint in his eyes.

Oh, dear.

No matter how hard she willed herself not to get flustered under his gaze, she couldn’t stop her face from flushing as he gently backed her up against the tree.

“Well, even if I do, I’m not going to tell you what it is,” she grinned back.

A slightly devious, yet playful look crossed Hans’ face. Clearly, he was up for the challenge. He then leaned in closer to Anna, his lips parting and his voice lowering as he said:

“Hmm…perhaps I could find a way to persuade you otherwise…”
