So, it seems like my cat is passing away tonight. We've taken him to the vet and there's little they can do for him. He's had gradual kidney failure for the last year and a half and it looks like this is it. I don't wanna post to my public account for my family & friends yet but I want someone to know what a good sweet boy he is. He's 15 years old. I adopted him from a shelter 8 years ago. He's a tuxedo cat. I named him Mordecai after Mordecai from Lackadaisy Cats, but everyone calls him Morty. He's never been troublesome or very energetic. He's always been my solemn dapper man. He looks like a gentleman in his bowtie collar. He loves getting belly rubs from me and being held in my arms like a baby. He loves ice cream and tortilla chips and will steal every bit of chocolate he can get his paws on. I haven't put ribbon on Christmas gifts for the last 8 years because he likes to bite & eat ribbon. When I feel sick, he lays on my stomach and purrs so deeply I can feel it in my guts. I'm going to miss him so very much.

Please, give your pets some extra love tonight. Sorry to post on here but I'm not ready to give the news to anyone I know in physical life yet.

all goofing aside I genuinely don't understand the urge to reimagine Taylor Allison Swift as a secretly queer icon when the pop music scene(TM) is like. literally overflowing with women who actually like women. Gaga and Kesha and Miley and Halsey are right there. Rina Sawayama and Hayley Kiyoko and Rebecca Black and Kehlani and Victoria Monét and Miya Folick if you're willing to get slightly less top 100. Janelle and Demi for them nonbinary takes on liking girls. like what are we doing here. like I'm not even saying you can't enjoy Taylor but why would you hang all your little gay hopes on her.
