The radio crackles softly in the background, the tune familiar, but something you're not paying all too much attention to, too focused on the way Dallas' fingers run through your hair, tugging on the strands as his lips move against yours. It’s slow and languid, the two of you entirely caught up in one another as you both lean over the centre consol, oblivious to the fact that it’s digging into your lower stomach uncomfortably. 

You're meant to be home by now; you'd told Darry you were at a friend's house, helping them with something but you'd be back before 6. However, it's now long past 7, and the sun had gone now at least an hour ago. 

Dallas pulls away momentarily, drawing in a quick, shallow breath as his eyes roam over your features, a smirk tugging as his lips. “You're drivin' me insane, you know that?” He mutters under his breath, dipping his head once more to trail kisses down your throat. “Most I've seen ya all week, dollface....”

You let out a weak, breathy chuckle, trying to pull him away before he can get anymore carried away. “You know why you haven't been able to see me, Dal.” You remind him, moving to push his shoulders off of you, but Dallas is having none of it, grabbing ahold of your wrists and pulling you closer. “My brothers would skin you if they saw us right now.”

Dallas grunts in response, his words muffled against your skin. “Which is why we're in my car and not in your room.” His hands trail further south, resting against the small of your back, and you find yourself melting into him. 

“We're parked in the middle of the street.” You point out, though you do nothing to stop him as he  leans down to press open mouthed kisses to your jaw. A shiver runs down your spine, goosebumps forming along your arms in reaction. 

“It's late. Aint no one out here.” He says between kisses, moving his mouth from your neck back to your lips, silencing any further arguments.

You're about to relent, give into him, when a sharp knock sounds on the window, causing both of you to spring apart sharply.  Dallas curses lowly under his breath, and there, standing at the window, is none other than Johnny and Pony. It seems they havent noticed you yet, Dallas blocking you as he rolls down the window.

“What?” He snaps.

Johnny flinches momentarily, before straightening up a little, clearing his throat. “You said you were busy, Dal.” His voice is suprisingly steady and Dallas scoffs, gesturing to you. 

“I am busy, aint I?”

Pony looks past him, eye widening slightly, and you feel your breath hitch. Shit. 

“Y/N?” He asks, and you can practically hear the disbelief in his voice. 

You can feel the blood leave your face, your pulse racing as you force yourself to sit up slowly and try to ignore the way Dallas stiffens next to you. “Hey,” You respond weakly, not knowing what else to say.

“You told Darry you were with a friend.” Pony accuses, his tone a little flat, and he sounds almost disappointed. Your cheeks flush and you swallow thickly. scrambling for an excuse, but it's too late, there's no denying what you and Dallas had been doing: your lips are swollen, and a few stray bruises on your neck. 

“I am with a friend,” You begin, but Dallas cuts you off, blowing all chances of diffusing the situation out the window. 

“Friend? That's what we're callin' this?” His grin is teasing, and you glare at him, even as your blush deepens. He’s enjoying this far too much.

Both Pony and Johnny stare blankly at you, their expressions unreadable, and for a moment you wish that you could disappear from existence entirely. 

“You're together?” Johnny finally asks, and there's a note of surprise in his voice as you nod silently, averting your gaze and biting the inside of your cheek in frustration.

“Since when?” Pony demands, clearly wanting an explanation, and your mind scrambles desperately for one, anything to keep you and Dallas out of trouble. You open your mouth, the words dying on your tongue, and you don't quite know what to say, so instead you just shrug weakly, unable to look at either of them in the eyes. 

Pony scoffs, shaking his head as he turns to run in the general direction of the house, Johnny trailing right after him. “Just wait until Darry and Soda hear about this!” he calls over his shoulder, and you let your head fall back against the seat, sighing heavily.  You knew that was coming. Of course it was. 

Dallas lets out a snort beside you, his hand brushing down your thigh. “Secrets out, huh?” He smirks slyly, and you can't help but roll your eyes.

“Thanks to you.”

He shakes his head, starting the car and pulling away from the curb, driving you the short distance back home. No doubt the other two boys have already made it, and the news has most likely already been spread. “You know, you dont have to take me back yet…” you try, knowing full well that you're going to get your ear chewed off the moment you step through the door. 

Dallas glances over at you briefly, a knowing smile curling around his lips. “I know. But I reckon your brothers are waitin' for ya, and I'm respectable enough to not leave 'em hangin'.” 

You laugh lightly, shaking your head in exasperation. Respectable is one way of putting it. Dallas Winston doesn't have a respectable bone in his body; he just wants to see you get into trouble, but you love him, and although he doesn't say it back, you know he loves you too.

You look at yourself in the mirror, your shirt tucked into your bra, as you rub your hands around your stomach. Your eyes start to tear up as you remember what your mother told you in an argument the other day.

“Are you kidding me? You think anybody would love you when you look like that? Pathetic.”

But little did you know that Sodapop was watching you through the crack of your bedroom door. He was supposed to come pick you up to take you out on a date that you both have been saving up for. When he decides he’s had enough, he walks through the door.

“Hey darlin’, you ready?” You quickly pull down your shirt and wipe your tears as he walks in. You turn to him and smile.

“Oh! Ya I’m ready!” You reply, trying to not let him know what you were doing.

“Babe, you were crying. What’s wrong?” He says, coming closer to you and wrapping his arms around your waist. You rip his hands off and turn towards the mirror. Your smile drops as your hands go towards your stomach.

“It’s just…. Why can’t I look like the other girls,” you start. “I me- I mean look at me! I look hideous!” You know there’s no point lying to Sodapop, he always was able to read you like a book. Your tears start coming down again as you see Soda approach you from the mirror.

“I don’t want you to look like the other girls, because I don’t want them, I want you. You might not see it, but to me, you’re the most beautiful girl I have ever laid eyes on. I fall in love with you even more every time I see you and it hurts me to see you like this.” Soda rants. You smile through your tears as you turn to hug him. Being inside of his arms always made you feel safe, it made you feel wanted.

“Thank you so much, and I’m so sorry. I’m not even ready for our date.” You cry in his arms.

“It’s fine baby, it’s fine. I would love nothing more than just being in your arms all day……”

Request: @goingdelux18 New girl moves in next door a year younger than pony but they become fast friends only problem is she's absolutely terrified of Darry for no reason other than he's big and Pony says he yells at him a lot (he was just ranting Darry isn't that bad) but Soda doesn't understand her fear but one day she comes over after getting jumped for the first time and she's terrified and also hurt so Darry takes care of her and she realizes he isn't scary and is very kind? All platonic except maybe with soda 😉 that boy is cute and she has eyes.

The sound of your heels clicking on the sidewalk becomes louder as you try to outrun the sound of a mustang following shortly behind you. Finally, the car stopped a few meters in front of you, so you slowed your pace, praying that you could get them to let you be. Three Socs climb out of the doors and lean against the car. Watching you. Smirks emit on their face as you finally stop in front of them.

”Well, well, well. Look who we have here!” The tallest of the bunch exclaims, his words slurred. “A greaser girl, walkin’ all by herself. Say, she’s looks like the one who just moved in next door with the Curtis’, right Bob?”

“Ya, sure does.” A kid with curly blond hair says behind him. The smell of cheap whiskey floods your nostrils, making your eyes water from the horrible stench. You place your hand in the pocket of your jacket, reaching for your switchblade, only to find it gone. They laugh at your weak attempt to find something to defend yourself with. The main guy walks closer to you, putting his hand on your back, as you try to push away.

“Oh come on sweetie, don’t be afraid….” He cooed into your ear. Your breath gets caught in your throat as you try to muster the courage to fight back.

”Lea- Leave me alone.” You whisper with a shaky voice. “I don’t want no trouble.”

“Oh well, you just found some sweetheart.” He replies right before hitting you right in the side of the face. You fall onto the sidewalk scraping your knees and the heels of your palms. Before you even think of getting up, he kicks your torso, rolling you over on your back. And before you knew it, you were being kicked in the ribs repeatedly.

While in your dream-like state from the pain you were in, you heard the muffled sound of someone screaming at the boys. You watch through your blurred vision as your attackers scatter, and your soon greeted with the face of Ponyboy Curtis.

“Y/N!! There you are!” Ponyboy screamed. “You gotta get help!” He puts his arms around me to help me stand up and limp all the way back to our houses.

TIME SKIP

As we approach our houses, i notice that my parent’s car isn't home. ‘Dang it, i forgot they're both working night shifts’ you think. You turn over to him.

“Pony, my parents aren't home.”

“So? Come over to my house, Darry will patch you up real good!” Ponyboy exclaims as we walk closer and closer to his house. My eyes widen in fear, Pony had ranted to me one time about how awful Darry was, that he always yelled at him.

“Pony, are you sure that’s the best idea. I-I mean, I could always just patch myself up.” You say trying not to come off as scared.

“It’s fine!” Ponyboy replies, completely oblivious to your fear. He holds open the door for you as you walk in. The first thing you are greeted with is the face of Darrel Curtis.

“Glory Y/N! What happened to you!” Darry exclaims, quickly sitting you down and scouring the room for medical supplies.

“She got jumped by a couple of Socs” Pony states for you. Darry comes back with medical supplies in his hands, and squats down in front of you. You watch his face as he slowly starts wrapping your arm in bandages. His gentle features make you relax into his body. However, the soothing moment ends when Sodapop walks into the living room.

“Hey Pony you’re bac- OH MY GOSH” Soda exclaims when he looks at your bloody and bruised body. You snicker at his response, but soon seathe from the pain in your torso it caused. “What happened to you?”

“Soda if you want to be of some help, go fetch me a damp cloth please.” Darry says as he finally finishes wrapping the gauze on you. “You alright kid?” He questions, his voice low. You simply nod.

When Soda comes back with the towel, Darry wipes the cloth on your face, removing the blood stains from the first hit you took. He starts to walk away, but you grab his arm and pull him into a hug.

“Thank you” you say, your voice barely about a whisper.

“No problem, kiddo,” He starts. “Just be a little for careful next time.” As he walks away, Soda approaches you and sits by you on the couch.

“You ain’t afraid of his no more, are you?” He asks.

“No” you simply reply, but inside your filled with happiness as you are surrounded by people that truly care for you.

So confession time…..

I absolutely ADORE musicals and i LOVE ‘The Outsiders’. But the musical was kinda eh to me. There were some really great songs, but nothing that caught my eye. (Y’all don’t come attack me plz)

I will admit that Brody Grant is super hot, but i don’t think i want to write about the musical just yet. Maybe when i like it more, you know?
