Hello Friends,

♛ It’s been a minute since I came around and updated things--been balls deep in my textbook for my prerequisite classes--so I wanted to drop in and leave a note on my plans for this blog and the future.

For those of you who don’t already know, ever since I got out of the hospital I’ve been working on taking the steps I need to get into grad school (which, at the moment involves taking a few prerequisite classes over this summer). But at the same time, my mental health took a nosedive pretty much since the start of this year--maybe longer. Which has made it increasingly difficult to be social and do the things I love, like writing. More recently, I’ve been doing very well. Finally taking antidepressants, working through therapy, and most importantly, succeeding in my academics. But with all this progress has come stagnation with my blogs.

I do not wish to abandon anything here, not by any means. For now though, this blog and my other main blog will be on Hiatus. I don’t want to give a definite date on when I’ll be back, because I have no idea what’s in store for me yet. But my hope is to have everything settled by the end of summer. 

For now, I am going to be on discord, mainly. For all things, including writing.  There’s a lot of anxiety attached to running these blogs for me, mainly because I still struggle with self-acceptance and thinking I’m good enough to even be here in the first place. I’ve gotten better, with time, but with the progress I’ve made I fear stepping back into the tumblr grind might resurface some of those feelings I’ve worked very hard to come to terms with and move past. So, for now, I’m going to be stepping away from tumblr and trying to refocus myself on the things I need to do to continue maintaining my health and happiness. 

I want to encourage you to reach out to me if you’d like to stay in contact while I’m gone, since I never really formally asked that when things first began getting difficult. I’ve made this decision mainly because lately I don’t really even have the energy to lurk here on tumblr, I have no idea what’s going on with any of my mutuals, how they’re doing and what they’ve been up to, and that saddens me. But I also don’t wish to pressure people who no longer feel comfortable speaking to me since I’ve been gone and quiet for so long. So here I am, writing this update and making this final decision today. 

Thank you everyone for being patient and understanding. I wish you all the best. Hopefully when I return I’ll have good news to share.

I’m sure all of you noticed that the last few years have been bad in terms of hatred going around the community like wildfire.   To fight back,   I decided to use the third week of April   (   a random pick   !   )   as a means for us to spread some love to one another   !   The whole point of   THE BEE KIND EVENT   will be to   send in as many shoutouts and positive thoughts as possible aimed towards other role players for the duration of   APRIL 19TH - APRIL 25TH.   Let’s make this event a reminder that the RPC is more than the hatred and damage and that there’s more good than bad.   Here are some suggestions for what type of posts you can send in   :

Send shout outs for your friends who you are grateful for   !   Why are you grateful for them   ?    What aspects of them do you appreciate the most    ?     Did they help you through a rough time   ?   Or do you simply enjoy their presence on the dash   ?   Let them know   !

Send shout outs for OC RPERS on your dash   !   Let them know how much you appreciate their efforts to develop characters from scratch.   Appreciate OC writers who deal with backlashes and never give up.

Send shout outs for CANON RPERS   !    Do you particularly enjoy someone’s portrayal for a certain character   ?   Do you appreciate their headcanons    ?     What unique attribute do they add to the said character   ?    Love on them    !

Send shout outs for RPERS YOU NEVER TALKED TO YET   !   Do you have that one mutual that you have been lowkey admiring from afar and never found the courage to tell them you appreciate them   ?    Declare your love for them during the event because why not   !

These are just some examples but you are not limited to them.   If you’re grateful for anything or anyone in any way in the community,   send in a shout out.   I’d appreciate if you could   reblog this and spread the word around    so that in return this blog can spam you all with positive messages.   For the logistics,   the posts sent during this week will be tagged with an event tag and moderator Poppy will be joining me to help out with the shoutouts.   IF   there is a high volume of shoutouts,   we will be increase the queue frequency and we dare you to send in enough that we will have to do such thing.   It’s a bee challenge   !!   🐝✨

A single large white feather with a bit of gold dust sank down. The angel had watched and followed the young man until duty called her and she had to leave quickly with flapping wings.

The witch paused when he saw a FLASH of movement out of the corner of his eye. When he stepped over to investigate and found the feather, he let it FLOAT into his hand. It RESONATED with something Connor had never experienced. Something magnificent. Not an energy exactly, but a power, something almost INCOMPREHENSIBLY powerful. 

“ And where did you come from, hm? ” Connor stared at the feather, too large to belong to any local bird and too soaked in magic to be just an ORDINARY feather. He looked all around him for more EVIDENCE of what could have left this behind. But there was nothing but atmosphere. Connor took the empty water bottle from his book bag and carefully slid the feather inside. He didn’t want to risk crushing it or DAMAGING it in any way. Perhaps he’d take it to his MENTOR and ask her what she thought of it, and whether or not she could tell him its origin.

Although Connor was tense, there was a burning curiosity in his eyes. This stranger that had strolled into his shop with PURPOSE...what secrets were behind those eyes? What history did he carry? 

“ I have a feeling you’re not here for me though, are you? ” Connor said finally, adjusting the rotating display on the counter next to him that held sets of crystal pendulums. He was stocking it when the visitor walked in.

He’d smiled at her, and she smiled back. It was a small gesture of body language, and yet Connor couldn’t stop thinking about it after he left class that day. He had over an hour to kill before his next one, so Connor decided to spend it reviewing the syllabus and maybe starting the reading from his class earlier this morning. Toting his bag over his shoulder, Connor slipped into the Starbucks near the math department and classrooms. It was reasonably busy for that time of day. As he stood in line, he looked around the room for an available table. Most of the seats were taken. How frustrating. 

Scanning the room, his eyes fell on the profile of a very familiar face. His heart rate kicked up as he stared at her for a moment. Is it really her...? 

Only one way to find out.

He refocused on the counter as the person in front of him stepped away. Connor ordered a small latte with an extra shot of espresso, and once it was ready he steeled himself, and walked over to the table where he was certain the girl next door from so many years ago sat by herself.
