An incredibly bitchy rant about my morning

I had to attend a webinar this morning and I was able to use zoom in browser bc fuck the zoom app and the horrifying amount of information it steals so that’s fun

I was also required to give my phone number to their family medical history tool because when I asked about email based options or just. using a dummy number I was told that they needed my number or else they can’t make an appointment.

They then booked me over email. I’m going to choke someone the fuck out. I’ve gotten 7 texts from their text verification thing, I pay for texts individually bc I use email for everything important bc it’s cheaper and I had to block the fucking number.

Also fun fact this webinar was the precursor to my appointment to figure out all my joint shit. The nurse herself was a delight but dear lord everything surrounding it makes me yearn for violence.

They don’t have any supports for people coming in from out of town too, I’m lucky only being a 3 hour drive away which is bad especially since the appointment is max 30 minutes but like. Day trip to that city I suppose.

AND OFFERING NO ACCOMMODATION, NO ASSISTANCE IN PAYING FOR THE TRIP, ABSOLUTELY NO SUPPORT AT ALL.

This is the only clinic in the country that handles this subset of genetic disorders, btw.

also if they do want to do genetic testing u need to pay 2200 - 5500 cad bc the Alberta government doesn’t cover any testing and doesn’t let the clinic take other provinces insurance. U also need a second appointment 2 months later.
