shidou: i honestly am not super sure what to say about your guy other than i think he's neat lmaooo. he's very fun and silly, and i permanently associate him with "that hot pink bitch was named breakfast!!" post LMAO. i'm also of the opinion that he gets the unfortunate fan treatment that chaotic characters usually get, which is to be assigned "rough/mean pervert dom" and flattened to fit that mold, which is like. not to yuck anyone's yum cause y'all know i mold characterization to fit my tastes sometimes but also i feel like they leave behind his silly loverboy side and that makes me sad. having said that i'd be terrified of meeting him irl. i usually get pushed into the role of the extrovert cause i make friends with a lot of introverts but whenever i meet a True extrovert like i feel shidou is, i immediately am absolutely out of my depth LMAO

mahito: i am afraid of that guy all the time in my selfships like. there is no au where i'm just chilling with him because the fear is part of why i like him, he's supposed to be unsettling and frightening. having said that, i think a lot of the fanbase hates him for like. not necessarily the wrong reasons (considering he did murder three characters, one of whom is one of the primary sexymen of the franchise), but it feels like they choose to flatten him out in order to fuel their hatred and that's annoying to me.

oliver: i can forgive murder, but i can't forgive being a manwhore. that's my truth. however, having said that, i don't need to forgive him to fuck him LMAOOO. irl i'd def be scared of him, the same way cats are afraid of big friendly dogs, y'know? the literally me square is not lit up because i don't have game like that but i definitely project my avoidance issues onto him like. our dynamic is us dancing around each other for soooooo long because we're both terrified of being vulnerable. in general he's good in many dynamics (mostly with ME) so that's why i put that there teehee

so the one that’s most fleshed out at the moment is my vampocalypse au for blue lock which i’m not gonna lie was def inspired by minecraft youtuber writer @/sircantus’ fic of the same nature but this one has my own twists to it i swear i’m not copying 1:1 the idea was just really cool PLEASE-

anyways! it’s basically a silly little crossover between a vamp au + zombie apocalypse au. my twist is that in this universe, vampirism is a disease in which you get the typical vamp powers (enhanced strength, speed, senses, immortality, etc).

vampires can still reproduce by draining people fully and feeding them their blood here; however most vamps don’t sire new ones unless they Really have to. some refuse to out of guilt, but most don’t for more practical reasons: more vampires means more risk of discovery, and more competition for blood.

the main idea that i copied over was that in this world, blood is incredibly important, even more so than normal, because the more blood that’s in a vamp’s system, the less they feel the negative effects of vampirism (think like the sun and garlic sensitivity, etc.)

(in my 'verse you can also drink other vampires’ blood for a longer lasting effect, but it’s frowned upon, considering you’re a) stealing their hard-earned blood and b) forcing them to become weaker for your own benefit.)

however, nothing remains secret forever, and of course you know some lab had to start fucking around to try and replicate vampirism without Any of the negative side effects of the original but all of the benefits (everyone wants to be fucking immortal for some reason)

so naturally, things go wrong in the lab, and they create a horrible mutation of the vampire disease (thus: our zombies, and why they bite: they’re looking for blood!). it’s like, you know that genetics thing with the purple petunias, where they tried to make them more purple and instead they went white? the scientists essentially did that, where instead of making super healthy immortal humans, they made zombies (immune to the sun, highly contagious, and operating on base animal instinct).

even worse though, this mutation of the disease contaminated the zombies’ blood, so vampires’ once abundant food source is quickly depleting. vampires themselves are immune to the mutation, thankfully, but after so long walking in the sun, a lot of them aren’t having a lot of luck finding food. some of them, though, have a brilliant idea: “why not just find a survivor and trade protection for blood?”

there’s like 3 different paths for this au so far, one being oliduck coded (with vamp!oliver), one being hiostar coded (vamp!hiori, courtesy of @mihyasnorthstar who has brainstormed A Lot of this with me (ily starry mwah mwah)), and one with the itoshi brothers and a vamp!reader. i’ve written like 2 things for it but it remains one of my favorite aus to think about like. each reader has their own personality and i think they’re all so silly and it leans itself into some really really interesting dynamics!!!

another au i have cooking on the backburner is a partially dragon age inspired au for thinly-veiled author insert reader x oliver in which reader is a mage and he’s a sellsword turned personal knight after Events

the longer explanation is that it’s an enemies to lovers thing in a low magic world, where mages are both incredibly feared and incredibly envied for their magical capabilities. the solution, naturally, is that when one is discovered to possess some form of magical talent, they are sent to live among other mages to train with the eventual goal of serving those in power (some noble houses employ mages, some are employed by the empire itself, etc etc.)

you do not get a choice in this matter; however, the empire isn't exactly omniscient, so there are definitely ways to dodge what is essentially a mage draft. you could get lucky and be born in a community that would shield you from suspicion, but the easier option is for mages to simply hide their gifts. obviously this is kind of hard for kids to do / understand, but there's no physical detriment to not using magic, it just like. really sucks emotionally and mentally LMAO

but reader in this case did it! they made it to adulthood without anyone knowing they're magical! and they even practiced a little bit in secret! it sure would be a shame if there was some big threat that required a display of magical power to protect someone!

anyways, reader's town gets attacked, and while they're not shunned after the reveal necessarily, everyone's a bit warier, and reader kind of knows to expect someone to come and escort her to the nearest mage circle.

oliver, for his part, dislikes magic immensely, and views its use as a necessary evil when he has to work with mages on certain assignments. however, when he's offered a hefty sum to escort a newly discovered mage to a more distant circle, he accepts the money with a firm handshake and a sly wink — an acknowledgement of his role in some plan he knows is bigger, but doesn't know or care the shape of so long as he's paid.

and so oliver goes and finds reader in their town, and they start traveling together, and it's a nice slowburn thing of reader being a stubborn ass and oliver getting frustrated that he's getting attached LMAO

(there is also a political thing going on in which the two are being used as pawns in order to try and have something go terribly wrong at the magic circle due to "untrained mage, guy who is kind of known for not liking mages, and the expected outcome of said relationship")
