laura isn't entirely sure how she got here but she won't overthink or fight it. carmilla is here, her most trusted companion, for whom she feels great affection. she doesn't mind that part. it's the other feelings that she harbours that cause her such distress. in moments like these though, the blonde allows herself to lose herself in thought, blue hues scanning over the other woman's face, mapping out the constellations in her freckles. her dear friend is unbelievingly beautiful and her finds herself tempted to engage with her in a way she never should. but that's when she notices something. ❛ you have something... ❜ she leans in, a single finger wiping some mark away from her face. her touch lingers a little too long, she knows that but she's powerless to remove herself at first. then she manages to find that strength. ❛ there. much better now. ❜

it's only ever been carmilla that has caused her to question such things, caused her to feel such feelings towards another woman. laura feels this affection and no matter what her mind screams at her, it isn't going away. if anything, she just feels more drawn to her. the blonde secretly believes that gravity itself pulls her to carmilla's side.

her heart does a little flip when she hears her speak again and it does the same thing when she notices that she's moved closer to her. she has to remind herself to breathe before answering her. ❛ nowhere of significance. just thinking of unimportant things. sorry. please continue. ❜

she's fighting with herself, the internal struggle almost too much to bear. carmilla is, without a doubt, the most beautiful person that laura has ever laid her eyes on. and she adores being around her, even if all they do is sit in the silence and enjoy each other's company. but she can't be that way inclined. she just can't be.

i) kiara tried to talk steve out of having feelings for her by exposing all of her flaws. doing this had the opposite effect on him. ii) they first spoke when she accidentally punched him in the face. she later did this again when he snuck up on her. (he was trying to be cute and give her a hug from behind but she didn't realise it was him). iii) ki realised that she had fallen in love with steve when she was watching him interact with young (and all year) campers. her first reaction was to whisper 'shit' to herself. iv) despite naming their half-blood home 'the harrington-dempsey home for wayward demigods', kiara takes steve's name when they get married and becames kiara harrington.
