BooktubeAthon My Experience
Tumblr media
I recently took part in my first readathon this week and even though i didn’t manage to finish reading any books i did enjoy the experience very much trying to challenge myself by reading a book appealed to me. I also took part in the video challenges which i enjoyed and sparked my creativity and what i want my YouTube channel to be like even though I didn’t enter giveaways due to the fact i do not want my personal email to be on you tube i really enjoyed it I will leave a link to my you tube channel  down below. In the UK it wasn't really the best time to read as the UK experienced a heat wave and it was too nice to read I did take my book to my parents garden on the Tuesday and Read a good chunk but towards the later part of the week being outside in my Paddling pool was far more interesting then reading a book also getting out there and walking as well. i will be participating in future readathons so if you guys know of any please do let me know  and i will get a TBR up together . until then happy reading :)

WARNING THIS REVIEW MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS THAT YOU MAY WISH TO AVOID READING IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THE BOOK
Blurb: “Lou Clark Knows a lot things she knows how many footsteps there are between the bus stop and home. She knows she likes working in the Buttered Bun teas shop and she knows she might not love her boyfriend Patrick. What Lou Doesn't Know is she is about to lose her job or that knowing whats coming is what keeps her sane. Will Traynor Knows his motorcycle accident took away his desire to live. He knows everything feels very small and rather joyless now. and he knows exactly how he is going to put a stop to that. What will doesn’t know is that Lou is about to burst into his world in a riot of colour. And neither of the knows they’re going to change the other for all time.”
Fave Qoute: “Just Live well Just Live”
ISBN: 978-0-718-15783-8
** spoiler alert ** I finished Me Before You last night and I have not stopped thinking about this book. This Book Tackles a very difficult and sensitive subject and I think Jo Jo Moyes has written this beautifully I couldn't stop crying. I don't normally get on with Contemporary Romances but this one was different the two main Charctures Will and Lou go on really wonderful Powerful charcture Journey they don't like each other Will in the Beginning is a Arse to her even though she comes in every day and looks after him and then after a while as there charctures grow and grow there friendship is the most beautifully written friendship I have read and it just goes to show that not people end up falling in love straight away Lou has a Boyfriend for most part of the book. And even though Will and Lou do confess there love its heartbreaking when Will has already decided what he wants but I love the way Will and Lou show each other that there is more life then what you get given and i thought the ending was perfect and as much as you want Lou to win this Battle to Keep Will Alive you realize it just cant be and Wills charcture development ended the way he wanted it to end. For me This book Highlights the difficulties people face and it shouldn't be ignored this book does make you think about life and for me i will deffiantly live my life and I will deffiantly not let my difficulties Define me. This novel is so much more then a novel about disability its a novel with heart and chactures that are so relatable with a lovely but heartbreaking Romance Friendship and love. I gave this book 5/5 on goodreads but it deserves so much more this book will deffianlty stay with me for the rest of my life :) and JoJo Moyes has now become one of my fave authors and I can not wait to read more of her work. Film Review: I went to see the Film Version of this book the film was beautifully shot they did leave chactures out but it did stay true to the book the casting of Lou and Wills chacrtures and the rest of the charctures was spot on and yes I did shead a tear in the cinema because how can you not I think seeing the book come to life on the big screen was powerful and the ending was well done and done with  sensitivity. The film for me was just perfect. i give this film a popcorn rating of 5/5 :)

My Thoughts:When I first found out that my all time favorite book series Noughts and Crosses the first book was made into a Graphic Novel I jumped straight at the Chance to read it not only because I am a big fan of the series but i loved the concept of the book. My friend Sarah back in Secondary school introduced me to the series I went and brought the first book in the series i had read Romeo and Juliette at school and Noughts and Crosses is a bit like Romeo and Juliett but with Race you have Callum who is a Nought and Spehy who is a Cross who have grown up together Spehy comes from a Rich background and Callum comes from a poor middle class background but they can not be together because of there race I have never before read anything like this before it was dark and gritty funny at times but very dark subject which Malorie Blackman has written so well. Noughts and Crosses series is a series which is very unique and no written has been able to tackle as well as Malorie Blackman has so i was a little bit nervous about reading my fave novel in graphic novel form because of what happens. The graphic novel did not disappoint me at all it made me cry the drawings were simple but yet effective the drawings were all in black and white and they drew the chacrtures that I had envisioned in my mind perfectly I hope the rest of the seris will be coming out in this format soon because it should. I also hope if someone reads this a TV company or a film producer i hope one day we will get this fantastic book series made into a series or a film because if it translates well into a graphic novel i think it will translate well into a film or TV show this book there are no words to describe this words apart from it left me wanting more and its made me want to reread the books in the future. this book gets a 10/10 from me

Brilliant book very inspirational emotional and well written loved this book it made me cry :)
The A to Z of You and Me By James Hannah ** spoiler alert ** To be honest I was in the library and I picked this book up because I loved the cover but boy was this book emotional set in a Hospice you met Ivo a Type one Diabetic who is dying so his nurse suggests that he passes the time and plays the A to Z game but for body parts and so he does linking each body part to past loves and friends. I loved the concept of this book as a Type 1 Diabetic myself I thought the Diabeties was handled really well. I fell in love with the charctures and I am so glad that I picked this up from the library it was really funny in places and really sad in others it did make me cry especially at the end I give this book 4 out of 5 stars and i am looking forward to seeing more work from this Author in the future.

Really enjoyed this book #bookstagram
Mister Monday By Garth NIX No of Pages 423 Fave Quote: There really was not a qoute that stood out for me The Blurb: "Arthur Penhaligon is not supposed to be a hero. He is supposed to die. But then he meets sinister Mister Monday and everything changes. Seven Days. Seven Keys One Mysterious Book. One strange house filled with secrets. Dare Arthur enter and accept the fate that awaits him within." Review: This Book is part of a seven book seris called the keys to the kingdom Mister Monday is the first book in the seris. ** spoiler alert ** This was my first Garth Nix Book and i really enjoyed it for what it was worth I did feel that the plot was a bit confusing and sometimes I feel it jumped from place to place but I like the premise of it. The book is about a boy called Arthur Penhaligon and you meet him during a Asthma attack at his new school doing cross country and while he waits for his friends to get help he meets mister Monday and gets given a key but its no ordinary key as strange creatures come to his school and sets a unknown virus on Arthur school and Arthur goes on a adventure to stop them and meets a lot of different charctures along the ways. My thoughts on this book are I enjoyed if for what it was worth the language is simple its not a fast paced book I found it quite slow in places but i am keen on reading the rest of the series. There is not really any good stand out quotes but I do like the charcture of Arthur I find him quite intriguing and I can not wait to follow his Journey and see were it leads I have given this Book 4 out of 5 stars as I did enjoy it and its a unique concept . I Gave this book a solid 4/5 stars on Good reads :)

Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda
Warning if you have not read the book Please scroll down Spoilers I read this on my Kindle and really enjoyed it.
** spoiler alert ** I loved this book I really liked Simon he was very relate able chacture I loved the plot of this book when I read about people getting Blackmailed you think it of being serious but it wasn't at all this book was very funny I loved the jokes and any book that references Harry Potter and Doctor who gets a thumbs up from me . This book appeals to me because its about trying to find your Identity I have Aspergers and since my diagnosis I have found it a struggle to find out about who I am so I could relate to Simons struggle to come out and saying that every time he did it was a different person his friends would have to get to know. I think a the end of this book when he finally gets together with Blue I cried because I wanted it so much to happen I loved all the Charctures I think they had a really great story throughout and in thinking about it all the Charctures in this book go through a Journey in discovering who they are for example Leah struggling to fit in with Abby and Nick that got to me and even Blue trying to find ways himself to come out to his parents and Simon sister Nora in discovering her talent all over again i loved this book and its one of those books that I will deffiantly reread again and again. I am looking forward to the authors future work and I would love a sequel for Blue and Simon. I gave this book a solid 4 out of 5 stars

Congratulations my first read in 2016 goes to mr Edgar Allan Poe gave this a solid 3 out of 5 stars mainly becuase the illustrations are gorgus #bookart
here is my Goodreads Review on this Edgar Allan Poes Collection I want to be Honest as I can about Poetry I enjoy them but I and like a lot of readers out there I dont read enough of them the only Poem I know about Edgar Allan Poe is his creepy Poem the Raven as that is the Poem most used and qouted and I enjoyed rereading it. I must confess I struggle in reading and understanding poetry at the best of times and I thought that this collection of Poems were pretty dark and creepy I wouldnt recomend to start with this collection if you are starting out as his prose is difficult to understand non the less I did enjoy reading them and felt after a sense of excitement that I would like to explore more poems as a reader and maybe in the future come back to this collection with a bit more understanding of what Edgar Allan Poe is trying to express. My well my parents copy of this book was illustrated by W.Heath Robinsion and he has illustrated this collection in quite a art novoue and gothic style a style in wich I do have a taste for. I give this collection a solid 3 out of 5 stars.

Wonder
Wonder
By R,J Palacio
No of Pages 315
Fave Quote "Everyone in the world should get a standing ovation at least once in their life because we all overcometh the world.-Auggie"
The Blurb: August Pullman wants to be an ordinary ten year old. He does ordinary things. He eats ice cream. He plays on his Xbox. He feels ordinary inside.
But Auggie is far from ordinary. Ordinary kids don't make other ordinary kids run away screaming in playgrounds. Ordinary kids don't get stared at wherever they go.
Born with a terrible facial abnormality, Auggie has been home schooled by his parents his whole life, in an attempt to protect him from the cruelty of the outside world. Now, for the first time, he's being sent to a real school -and he's dreading it. All he wants is t be accepted- but can he convince his new classmates that he's just like them underneath it all?
Dear R.J Palacio
I finished reading your clever little book Wonder and it certainly is a Wonderful book to read. As someone who has a leaning difficulty I really related to August or Auggie he likes to be known as and I empathized with him and his struggle to fit in and be accepted in life by the people who he goes to school with. This book highlights the prejudices that people have when it comes to people who have a disability or a facial abnormality. In Wonder Auggie gets called all sorts from freak to Ugly. It made me sad when his classmates make up the game the Plague and avoid touching him that really made me cry and think how can people do that to a ten year old. I loved the caricature  of Summer who from the off wants to actually be his friend and even go as far as leaving the popular kids Halloween party when they are mean to Auggie. I really felt for Auggies sister Via as she goes on her own Journey when she starts high school i had a tear in my eye when she doesn't complain about "little stuff" to her parents because they have too much on there plate to look after her brother I love the brother sister relationship in your book it goes above and beyond then just brother and sister. I like Via because she doesn't moan or complain about the situation she just gets on with it even when she is faced with her own problems in High school. I like that Via does get the big break she deserves towards the end of the book. I love all the different peoples perspectives in the book its a nice change to let other caricatures to have a go narrating and you do get a feel about what they are all thinking about Auggies Situation. I felt the best caricature development throughout the book is Jack Wills I didn't like him at first when he was mean to Auggie at the begging of the book at Halloween but he didn't realize it was Auggie but once he realized what he had done and apologized he became a likable person and it shows how someones attitude can change to someone who is different and i like that. This book has a strong message and even though Auggie is 10 the way he deals with life is someone who is much older. The ending is brilliant and very fitting to what the book is about.  If you like Star Wars the there is a lot of star wars references which appeals to the nerd in all of us. Thank you for writing a wonderful and charming story this is not just a book for me this book will stay with me for the rest of my life. I do hope you write other books in the future as your style and subject matter is brilliant and i hope future readers feel the same way as I do.
I give this book a super rating of 10/10 ( Feel free to comment or suggest any books i should read and review enjoy)
