I’ve been wanting to point this out since the swinging scene between T.J. and Cyrus, but I thought someone else would point it out, and maybe someone did point it out and I just never saw it but,,

The fact that T.J. looked so bothered and upset about Cyrus calling him “scary basketball guy,” kinda shows early on that he hates that that’s how he’s viewed, especially by Cyrus— someone who doesn’t even know him well enough at that point.

He then goes to correct Cyrus by saying “Actually, T.J.” as in like “dont call me a scary basketball guy. I dont want to be known as that in ur eyes,, here’s my real name.”

He’s obviously uncomfortable with the fact that he immediately comes off as a scary basketball guy.

Umm, if people think the show is trash now, for whatever reason, they have every right to stop watching the show.

That is so true anon! They have every right to stop watching the show. Although, there are some people out there who are refusing to continue to watch the show for the wrong reasons. Overall, what I’m trying to say is that this show deserves to be on for a while. I really want to see each character grow and prosper, but that won’t be possible if it gets cancelled because of the decline of views. I want the very best for this show and all of the storylines. andi mack actually is trash now. this isn’t even about ships, it’s about the writing...i mean have you seen the promo for next week’s ep and what they’re doing to amber’s character?? it used to be good but now it’s not, so don’t make people feel bad for not watching it anymore, it would get a lot of views if it was still a good show.

I totally understand where you’re coming from anon! Your opinions are valid, but there are also quite a few people who are not watching the show anymore because of the ships. Also, yes I have seen the newest promo and I get why you have that opinion of the writing being bad. Disney’s promos are almost always painted in the worst light and are always out of context. It is quite important to watch the actual episode for the correct context to see how it all turns out. I’m more than positive that Amber will be getting the redemption arc she deserves. The writing may seem bad right now, but you have to trust that the writers and directors and everyone else on the production team know what they are doing, and that they will end up making it turn out well. The amount of views are constantly going down, and it’s really disappointing to see because in return, the show might overall be cancelled. This show has brought me so much joy even though I don’t agree with everything that goes on 100%. This show has brought so many different topics into light that Disney hasn’t talked a lot about before. This show deserves to go for as long as it can, that’s what I’m trying to say. How I’m boutta be Monday night rewatching the TJ/Cyrus scenes, knowing damn well we probably won’t be seeing them interact again for a little while

When do you think cyrus would confess to jonah and/or tj?

This is a really difficult question. Jonah: If I’m being completely honest, I think that Cyrus won’t confess his feelings directly to Jonah, I think somehow, someone will hint at it or mention it, maybe Andi, and Jonah will catch on. This is only because we haven’t seen Jonah and Cyrus have a one-on-one conversation about a serious topic yet, so I feel like I would need to physically see them have that level of trust for each other before Cyrus can confess something deep like that to him. If he were to tell Jonah, it would probably be a scene when Jonah would go to comfort Cyrus because he was distraught or upset over Jonah and Andi. Although, I’m not sure if it would happen this way because the writers didn’t have him show any negative emotions over Jonah and Andi’s kiss, so he’s probably okay with them getting their “happy ending.” TJ: On the other hand, if Cyrus does end up having feelings for TJ, I think it wouldn’t take much for Cyrus to directly confess his feelings for TJ. We have seen them bond since practically their first scene together, and they have already had two private conversations, one being about a pretty serious topic. I think it would take time for Cyrus to come to terms with liking TJ, just because of the past TJ had with Buffy. I believe Cyrus would feel guilty to a certain extent about his feelings, even though Buffy has clarified that he can be friends with anyone he wants. As for when and where, I’m not sure. Maybe at the swings again where they had their first iconic scene. If TJ and Cyrus become romantically involved, I feel like TJ would be the first one to confess his feelings. I hope this somewhat answered your question, it’s a tricky topic. Thanks so much for the ask!

My Thoughts On Who’s Best For Cyrus

{ if you’re just going to get triggered, don’t read }

If I’m being honest, I ship Cyrus with happiness. I want whatever’s best for him and I hope he gets what’s best for him. I hope Disney doesn’t ruin his plot. Although, if I had to pick one person, I would have to pick Tj Kippen.

My explanation in bullet points because I have rewritten this multiple times and it wouldn’t post so I’m too lazy for a paragraph now:

Cyrus has a starstruck-like crush on Jonah

Cyrus has tried to make himself cooler to make Jonah like him

When Tj is around, Cyrus is himself and doesn’t feel like he has to change for him

Tj doesn’t feel pressured to be a brooding jock and keep a cool rep that he has around others

They’re basically safe-havens for each other to go to and just relax

Cyrus brings out the true boyish joy in Tj, causing him to smile genuinely whenever he’s around Cyrus and be happy

Tj pushed Cyrus out of his comfort zone, (helping him get the muffin, pushing the swing higher than he normally goes)

They both bring out the best in each other, which is all anyone can ask for in a healthy relationship

They obviously trust each other even though they like just met

THE WAY THEY LOOK AT EACH OTHER, I MEAN YES JYRUS HAS HAD ITS BEAUTIFUL STARING MOMENTS TOO BUT HOLY

THEY’VE HAD BARELY ANY SCENES TOGETHER AND ALREADY HAVE MORE CHEMISTRY THAN I HAVE EVER HAD WITH ANYONE IN MY LIFE

I understand that Tj is rude to Buffy, but it’s obviously not really affecting Cyrus that much if he’s still willing to be friends with Tj, so...

Most representation for the lgbtq+ community in television (from what I have personally seen) has shown people as outcasts and as those who don’t necessarily fit in; making Tj someone who is apart of that community would break the stereotype since he is technically “popular” (from what we’ve seen), and he’s apart of the basketball team (breaking the stereotype that people can’t seem to let go of).

Although, even if they don’t end up together and Tj ends up being straight, it’d be amazing to see a close friendship between a straight jock and a gay boy, which is barely ever shown.
