another quick lil life update
hey guys, so I know i’ve been hella inactive lately but i’m gonna try and start this blog up again as it really motivated me through my GCSEs and i’m hoping the same will happen through IB.
its been literally months since i last posted... since then i’ve had my english IOP (went better than i could’ve hoped tbh) and just handed in my latin IA... also i got my first set of predicted grades and they’re high enough to get me into med school, i hope!!
I hope you guys are all doing well, and as always, feel free to message me if y’all need help or just want to talk!
happy studying, and good luck for 2019!!

i haven’t made my own studyblr post in nearly a year…*sighs*
Well here’s an update of my study space/room if anyone is interested! the last time i posted a photo of this area, it didn’t have all those photos on the walls. But i’m really glad i have them now because every time i’m staying up super late at night trying to plow through some procrastinated homework, looking at all the different pictures makes my mood at least a little bit better :-)
(follow my insta bc i’m thirsty for followers: you.nique )

push yourself to get up before the rest of the world - start with 7am, then 6am, then 5:30am. go to the nearest hill with a big coat and a scarf and watch the sun rise.
push yourself to fall asleep earlier - start with 11pm, then 10pm, then 9pm. wake up in the morning feeling re-energized and comfortable.
get into the habit of cooking yourself a beautiful breakfast. fry tomatoes and mushrooms in real butter and garlic, fry an egg, slice up a fresh avocado and squirt way too much lemon on it. sit and eat it and do nothing else.
stretch. start by reaching for the sky as hard as you can, then trying to touch your toes. roll your head. stretch your fingers. stretch everything.
buy a 1L water bottle. start with pushing yourself to drink the whole thing in a day, then try drinking it twice.
buy a beautiful diary and a beautiful black pen. write down everything you do, including dinner dates, appointments, assignments, coffees, what you need to do that day. no detail is too small.
strip your bed of your sheets and empty your underwear draw into the washing machine. put a massive scoop of scented fabric softener in there and wash. make your bed in full.
organise your room. fold all your clothes (and bag what you don’t want), clean your mirror, your laptop, vacuum the floor. light a beautiful candle.
have a luxurious shower with your favourite music playing. wash your hair, scrub your body, brush your teeth. lather your whole body in moisturiser, get familiar with the part between your toes, your inner thighs, the back of your neck.
push yourself to go for a walk. take your headphones, go to the beach and walk. smile at strangers walking the other way and be surprised how many smile back. bring your dog and observe the dog’s behaviour. realise you can learn from your dog.
message old friends with personal jokes. reminisce. suggest a catch up soon, even if you don’t follow through. push yourself to follow through.
think long and hard about what interests you. crime? sex? boarding school? long-forgotten romance etiquette? find a book about it and read it. there is a book about literally everything.
become the person you would ideally fall in love with. let cars merge into your lane when driving. pay double for parking tickets and leave a second one in the machine. stick your tongue out at babies. compliment people on their cute clothes. challenge yourself to not ridicule anyone for a whole day. then two. then a week. walk with a straight posture. look people in the eye. ask people about their story. talk to acquaintances so they become friends.
lie in the sunshine. daydream about the life you would lead if failure wasn’t a thing. open your eyes. take small steps to make it happen for you.

okay um wow a lot happened in these last couple of weeks.. and ngl I’m feeling kinda broken rn but I thought you guys deserved some sort of life update.
Of course some amazing things have happened in the past week, but other stuff has happened that has left me feeling lost and honestly really hurt and upset.. and the worst part is that what happened was all out of my control but sometimes life just likes to mess with you I guess
Needless to say, this first week of term did not go how I expected it to go, but hopefully things will get better from here. Only one place you can go after you’ve hit rock bottom, right?
So to anyone who needs it (myself included), stay strong, I know you can get through this. I believe in you and know you can do it

Can’t tell me there’s no point in trying, I’m at one, and I’ve been quiet for too long // 17 July 2018
Another hot one, almost ninety when I left the house this morning and it’s only getting hotter. Got a lot to do this week, two freelancing articles, a work project, gotta read a play that I might be designing in the fall. Never a dull moment.
Stay cool y’all <3
