If wealthy people really want to permanently reside in the United States, they have several simpler options. For example, if they have a 'sustained domestic or international reputation', they can obtain an EB-1A Outstanding Talent Green Card. If they lack the necessary popularity, they can easily spend a small portion of their wealth to gain it. There is also the EB-5 investor visa. According to the EB-5 program, immigrants can obtain permanent residency in the United States if they invest at least $800000 in rural or economically disadvantaged areas and create 10 jobs within two years. EB-5 not only reduces funding, but also allows investors to recoup their investments. From an investment perspective, the gold card suffered a 100% loss.
