Note: I saw a headcanon where Reca acts like Gomez Addams and it got me HOOKED. So here we are! Our lovely director Mr. Reca who is like Gomez Addams when it comes to his lover.

Endless Devotion
The moment you stepped onto the set, Mr. Reca felt it.
You had a presenceundeniable, ethereal, captivating. The way you carried yourself, the way your voice lilted just so—it sent a shiver of admiration down his spine. He swore the air changed when you entered a room, as if the universe itself had to pause to acknowledge you.
And oh, how he lived to acknowledge you.
“My love,” he gasped, his hand flying to his heart as if you had physically struck him. “Every time you enter a room, it is as if the sun itself has dimmed in jealousy.”
You tilted your head, amusement flickering in your eyes. “And yet, my darling, I prefer the moon.”
Reca exhaled sharply, as if the sheer poetry of your words had sent him spiraling. “Cara mia!”
Around you, the crew barely reacted, already used to the grand theatrics that came with their director. But something about the way he looked at you—the absolute reverence in his gaze—set it apart from his usual dramatics. Today, you decided to indulge him just a little more.
Gliding toward him, you placed a single gloved hand on his cheek. “Are you working hard, mon amour?”
Reca trembled under your touch. “How can I work when you stand before me, tempting me away from all responsibilities?”
You smirked, dragging your fingers along his jawline before stepping away. “Then suffer, my love.”
And suffer, he did.
You weren’t just his lead actress. You were his everything. Reca made it known in the most extravagant ways possible.
He would call for breaks simply because he noticed you looked slightly displeased with the lighting. He would personally adjust your wardrobe, kneeling before you as he ensured every button, every seam was flawless.
But most of all?
He spoke his love.
“I have directed countless works of art, but none compare to the poetry of your existence.”
“My heart, were I not bound to my duties, I would spend every second at your feet, basking in the shadow of your grace.”
“Tell me, how does one breathe when you are near? I fear my lungs function only at your mercy.”
And you? You accepted it all with a smile and the smallest tilt of your head.
Because, deep down, you adored it.
Reca lived for any excuse to touch you, but he respected the art of patience. And so, he settled for your hand, taking it gently in his own and pressing a reverent kiss to your knuckles.
“You are the very breath in my lungs, the reason my heart beats,” he murmured, lips lingering against your skin. “Without you, I am but a husk of a man.”
You chuckled, your fingers curling under his chin to lift his face. “Then I suppose I must keep you alive.”
His grip on your hand tightened ever so slightly. “(Y/N),” he whispered, eyes dark with devotion. “You know what that does to me.”
Reca had many admirers, but he only had eyes for you.
You found him in his office one evening, surrounded by scripts and half-empty glasses of wine. He looked up the moment you entered, his exhaustion melting into pure adoration.
“You’ve come to torment me, haven’t you?” he mused, already standing to greet you.
You sauntered forward, stopping just close enough for him to catch the scent of your perfume. “And if I have?”
Reca exhaled as if you had just whispered the secrets of the universe into his ear. “Then I am at your mercy.”
You reached for his tie, playing with the fabric as you eyed him. “Poor thing. You must be exhausted.”
“I could be on the brink of death, and I would still crawl to you,” he swore.
You leaned in, your lips brushing against his ear as you whispered, “Then kneel.”
And he did. Without hesitation, without question.
Because you were everything to him.
The crew was used to Reca’s antics, but when you indulged him? That was a sight to behold.
During a break, he stood beside you, eyes lingering on the way your lips curved into a knowing smile.
“What troubles you, Reca?” you asked.
“You.” He sighed dramatically. “You haunt my every thought.”
You turned to him fully, placing a single hand against his chest. “Poor thing. Do I torment you so?”
“Yes,” he breathed. “And I live for it.”
The crew collectively groaned at the overwhelming tension, but neither of you paid them any mind.
Reca was a man of passion, but nothing stirred his fire more than the idea of another person laying their hands upon you.
The unfortunate soul who dared flirt with you found themselves under the weight of Reca’s heated gaze.
“Darling,” he purred, his hand possessively sliding to your waist. “Shall I handle this.. distraction?”
You smirked, glancing at him from the corner of your eye. “Now, now, mon cher, be kind.”
Reca turned to the offending man, his eyes sharp with dark amusement. “Forgive me but you seem to be under the delusion that you can compete with me. Allow me to assure you— you cannot.”
The man wisely took his leave.
Reca turned to you, his gaze still burning. “Querida, I fear I may have to spend the evening reminding you to whom you belong.”
You hummed, brushing your lips against his ear. “Do try, my love~”
He never needed an excuse to sweep you into a waltz.
The moment he heard a slow melody play from the gramophone in his office, he reached for you without hesitation.
“Dance with me,” he murmured.
You let him pull you into his arms, his hand firm against the small of your back. The two of you swayed, locked in a private world where only you and he existed.
“You move like a dream, my love,” he whispered, his lips brushing against your temple. “If I could, I would trap this moment in time, reliving it over and over again.”
You chuckled. “Then you would never finish your work.”
Reca smirked. “Ah, but you are my life’s greatest masterpiece.”
He was not a subtle man, and his love for you would never be contained in something as simple as words.
And so, he crafted an entire set in your honor.
When you arrived, you found yourself standing in a grand recreation of an old gothic mansion, candlelit chandeliers casting soft shadows along the walls. At the center of it all stood Reca, holding out a single black rose.
“For you, my dark angel,” he said, offering it to you. “A tribute to your endless beauty.”
You took it, twirling the stem between your fingers before gazing at him. “And what did I do to deserve such devotion?”
Reca stepped closer, his voice lowering. “Simply exist.”
There were times when Reca tried to take control to play the part of the dominant suitor.
But when you turned the tables?
He was utterly, devastatingly weak.
One night, as he leaned in to claim a kiss, you stopped him with a single fingertip against his lips. “Reca,” you murmured, your voice like silk. “Sit.”
His breath hitched, his entire body reacting to your command. He sat, his hands gripping the arms of his chair as he watched you move toward him.
“You worship me so openly,” you mused, your hands sliding over his shoulders. “Tell me, mon amour, what would you do if I asked you to beg?”
Reca exhaled sharply. “I would fall to my knees without hesitation.”
You smirked, leaning down until your lips nearly brushed against his. “Then do so.”
And he did. Without shame, without restraint. Because you were his dark queen, and he lived to worship you.
No matter how hard he tries to be the one in command, you simply had a way to change things. You are able to flip the script. With a single touch, a whisper against his lips, he was undone.
In the end, he was the one breathless, the one trembling in your grasp.
And he loved it.
As you sat together in the candlelit warmth of your shared home, Reca looked at you with a softness so rare, so intimate, it nearly stole your breath away.
“My love,” he murmured, taking your hand in his own. “If I had a thousand lifetimes, I would spend every one of them chasing after you.”
You smiled, lifting his hand to your lips. “Then you are mine for eternity.”
Reca exhaled in sheer reverence. “(Y/N),” he whispered, voice trembling. “You know what that does to me.”
And with that, he pulled you into his arms, pressing his lips to yours in a kiss filled with an undying, endless devotion.

In another life (What could have been, what it can still be), Part 1
A/N: Hiiii, I wanted to post the whole thing at once because I feel like it's better experienced that way cause of how they continue between each other, but I started to feel pain writing it so I'm just posting it in two parts 🙏
Rui's POV! Second-person pronoun "You" is used. Somewhat established relationship in some of them. 5 universes he could have lived + 1 he still can. Is this a Rui x reader disguised as a character study, or a character study disguised as an x reader? Your guess is as good as mine. Rui gets so so much affection in this. World’s most touch-starved man meets writer who just wants to give the guy so many headpats (3019 words)(and counting!)(This is the longest fic I've written guys) AO3 link here
The anomaly is fast, zipping around in the air, defying the very laws of gravity itself. Its eyes are bright in the dim lights of the laboratory, phasing through states of matter as Lyca jumps and slashes, his claws doing nothing as its body shifts into nothingness, then back again as Lyca lands, growling at it in frustration.
Rui can empathise, leaping aside when it dives at him another time, leaving cracks in the tile floor where he was standing. It's obviously corporeal, and he has landed a couple lucky shots at it, though it doesn't really seem to care.
“Amazing. Amazing! This goes against everything we've learned! This, this could lead to an incredible breakthrough!”
Rui hears the scientist exclaim somewhere behind him, who would've been the next victim had they not stepped in.
“Um, ma’am-” he hears you start to say, but the shouting seems to have gotten the anomaly’s attention too, as it turns to face the both of you.
“Hey, wait!” you shout, as the lady marches forward, dragging you along when you try to hold her back.
He watches the anomaly rise into the air again, glowing eyes aimed at you, now in front of the scientist as you try to push her back.
Rui tries to rush to you, warn you, arm out to push you out of harm’s way, stopping short when he remembers how that malevolent spirit looked after he had drained the life force out of it. How you had startled away from his hand after.
Then, the anomaly dives.
And he's brought back to his first mission with you. How he had hesitated then. How he had failed to keep you safe.
How he promised himself not to let it happen again.
He does the only thing he can think of.
The anomaly crashes into him just as he steps in its way.
His back hits the ground hard, the anomaly crouched over him, its clawed feet pinning him by the shoulders. Its eyes seem to shine into his soul, like a searchlight into his mind, and it opens its gaping mouth to shriek in his face.
It is loud, and then it is nothing.
Rui would be worried he'd gone deaf if he wasn't staring into its mouth, like a sea of stars in the night sky that he just can't look away from, glittering specks of colour in an endless expanse. He sees stars, planets, universes, surrounded by the vastness of space, enveloping him like a blackhole he just can't escape.
And then, everything goes dark.
2.
The sun is warm in Jabberwock, shining down on Rui as he ruffles the soft wool of the anomalous sheep, a small smile on his face.
Suddenly, he leaps back from the living creature, staring between its startled form and his ungloved hand in horror. It retreats away when Haru runs up to him.
“Rui! Wha happened? Everythin’ okay?”
Rui looks up from patting himself down, still processing everything that just happened.
“Harurin! Where- where are my gloves?”
“Huh? Whaddya need gloves for?”
Rui pauses. Looking into the distance, where the sheep are, he tries to pinpoint the one he just touched, eyes tracing the grass for piles of ash.
“You okay buddy? You look a lil tired.”
Rui turns back to his friend, worry written all over the redhead’s face, and he realises he does feel tired. Like all the energy he's accumulated over the years never existed at all. He's hasn't felt like this since-
“It's alright!” Haru interrupts his thoughts, “I can handle it for today, you go get some rest! Don't want you gettin’ heatstroke now!”
Rui almost argues, but he sees Haru start to approach, to push him toward the dorm, and instinctively takes a step back. Haru backs off in surprise, but if he's offended, Rui doesn't wait to see.
“Yeah you're right. I think I'll go back.” he says, turning back to the Jabberwock house, throwing a half-hearted wave back.
He stuffs his hands in his pockets. It's not the coolest pose to be walking in, but his hands feel too exposed to care.
He breathes in the smell of the grass and flowers on the walk back, trying to figure out how he got here in the first place. He tries to remember what happened after the darkness. The stars. The shrieking. Slamming onto the tiled floor. Stepping in to protect you. You.
He does a full body jump when he feels hands on his shoulders. You quickly let go, startled by his reaction.
“Woah! I didn't mean to scare you! You just seemed so lost, and you didn't hear me call out!” you quickly try to explain, in that flustered tone you use when you try to defend yourself.
He chuckles reassuringly, relaxing a little at your appearance. He puts everything else aside for now.
“It's okay, it’s okay. What did you need me for? You know I'd do anything you ask~” he lilts, throwing in a wink.
You giggle, handing him a case file, “I've been assigned another mission with Jabberwock, so I need you to look at this!”
He takes the file carefully, avoiding your hands, and gives you a look of confusion, “Wait, then why are you showing it to me?”
You blink. “Because Haru’s not here?”
“Shouldn't you be giving it to Towa, then?”
“Well, you're the vice-captain, so I thought…”
“You can't be showing the Obscuary vice-captain Jabberwock documents you know~” he tells you gently, shaking his head. Maybe you got confused somehow, he thinks.
But your previously raised eyebrows have become knitted, and suddenly he's not so sure.
“Lyca’s not vice-captain yet. Subaru and I barely even got him out of trouble with the general students,” you say, slowly. “And you're the Jabberwock vice.”
That can't be right. Your voice feels far away as he tries to piece everything together. Maybe he really is just tired, because suddenly everything isn't making sense, and he's just not used to it because he hasn't had this little energy since the curse and-
He feels a warmth on his forehead. It's comforting, even under the sun. Grounding him back to reality.
Your face is close to his as you feel his forehead with your bare hand for a fever, another on your own forehead to tell if it's warmer than usual.
His blood runs cold. He can't look away as he waits one dreadful moment for your body to start disintegrating.
No. Not again. Not you. Please. Especially not you. He can't lose you like this.
Nothing happens, as he waits, continuing to plead in his mind, but he realises he doesn't feel the rush of your life force becoming his own. Not even the pull of it under where your bare hand makes contact on his skin.
Your touch is just warm, the way he always imagined it would be, when he threw glances at you handling glasses when you weren't looking, or ruffling Lyca’s hair. What he doesn’t expect is the comfort it brings him. Not just from the relief of not seeing you wither away like so many others, but from how long it’s been since he’s had anything like this.
“It doesn’t feel different…” you mumble, finally looking up, “Ah! But your face is so red!” Rui’s sure his face becomes redder when your hand slides down to his cheek instead.
“It’s heatstroke!” he squeaks. It’s too much too fast, and he doesn’t quite know how to deal with it. He backs away quickly, pushing the file back into your arms and running off. “I gotta go. Haru’s in the fields if you need him!”
“Huh? O-okay!” he hears you call behind him, “Feel better soon! Remember to drink lots of water!”
“I will!” he returns, waving back.
“I didn’t even know ghouls could GET heatstroke.” You mumble to yourself, but he’s already long gone.
-
“Hey, did you hear? They’re gonna make the werewolf vice-captain!” Rui hears a girl not-quite-whisper to her friend.
“Eh~ really~? Poor Subaru-kun’s had his hands so full because of him…” her friend doesn’t even pretend to keep her voice down as she fidgets with the lavender jewel on her lapel.
“I guess it makes sense since Obscuary doesn’t have a vice yet…” she trails off, missing the grimace on Rui when he hurries past.
-
Rui finds himself in the familiar woods of Obscuary, stumbling through the overgrown weeds.
‘Someone really needs to clean this place up,’ he thinks, carefully stepping over the untrimmed plants.
As he nears the mansion, he hears the familiar sound of Lyca yelling.
“You gotta clean this up you moth-eaten casanova! It’s starting to smell bad!”
“Ah, but I’m not used to the new machines of this era you see. I have no idea how that washer machine works.”
Opening the door to the mansion, Rui finds random junk scattered across the floor. It’s less decorated than he left it, the walls stark of paintings and decor. It reminds him of the mansion when he first moved in, brimming with ill-gotten energy in a new environment.
The memory urges him to the bar, or where it should be. As he opens the door, he is greeted with a room that is mostly bare, save for a table and a few chairs. He paces to where the bar would be, tracing the walls empty of shelves. He decides not to linger, following the noise up the stairs.
Lyca whips around and growls, ears up, when Rui enters Edward’s room. He’s right, it does smell. Clothes are scattered about everywhere, far worse than he’s ever seen. He doesn’t even want to imagine what the strange green sludge on what’s probably a table is.
“There you are.” Edward says easily at what Rui suddenly realises might be an intrusion.
“You know this guy?” Lyca asks the vampire, eyes darting to him for a second before going back to keeping his eyes on Rui. Even the fur on his tail is upright.
“I’ve seen him around.” Edward replies, leering wide at the blonde. “The body you’re in isn’t going to be very happy to be here, you know.”
Rui’s response dies on his tongue as Edward approaches him, Lyca still watching cautiously behind them.
“Here, let me help you out.” Edward says. Rui doesn’t know what he does before he’s out like a light.
3.
A sterile light shines over Rui, blinking in disorientation. He just barely manages to make out the surroundings of a lab in time to hear Yuri finish his explanation.
“That’s right. I, Dr. Yuri Isami, have cured your curse!”
“What?” is the only thing Rui manages to say. He blinks. What?
“I- Weren’t you listening!?” Yuri shrieks, hand to his chest and lip curled.
“I think the patient might be in shock.” Jiro says in his defense. Yuri opens his mouth, then huffs.
Jiro tells him something else before they both leave the room, but Rui is too overwhelmed to notice.
His curse is cured? Just like that? Everything is just happening so fast. He can hardly believe it. He tries to remember everything he wanted to do when his curse was cured, everything he thought about doing, before the disappointment made him stop. He wishes he made that list now.
When was the last time he’d gone surfing? Felt the sun on his bare skin? Not worried about the potential danger?
When was the last time he’d felt grass on his fingertips? A dog licking his face?
When was the last time he walked around in a crowded street? How many festivals had he missed? Why couldn’t he remember?
When was the last time he reached out to someone? When was the last time it was okay?
“Rui..?” you call out to him hesitantly, bringing him back into the lab with you, still sitting on the medical bed where the other two left him. “They were briefing me about your curse, cause you looked like you weren’t going to be listening for a while…”
You approach slowly, hands tucked into your chest as usual as you come close. You stop in front of him, an expression he can’t read on your face.
Cautiously, you raise your hands, like you’re presenting them before stopping near his face, in front of the apples of his cheeks. It takes everything in him not to flinch away. You look into his eyes, and he knows the question before you say it. He thinks you might know the answer too.
“May I?” you ask.
“Yes.” he breathes, barely above a whisper.
Slowly, your fingertips. An experimental touch.
Then, your palms on his cheeks, cupping his face. He puts his hand over yours as he leans into it.
Your thumb brushes his bottom eyelid, and he realises he might have started crying, though he doesn’t know when. You are there to wipe away all the wet hot tears with gentle warm hands.
What strikes him now, of all the things happening in the moment, is the expression on your face as you gaze at him. Your eyes are soft despite the hard lights, but he feels the sneaking urge to rub his finger between your knitted brows.
He’s pulled into you, your arms around him and your hands clutched on the back of his shirt. A hug, when’s the last time he had one of those? He wraps his arms around your waist, his head buried in the crook of your neck. He breathes in a shuddering breath.
He smells the shampoo in your hair, stronger than all the times he caught a whiff of it when you walked past him just a little too close. He catches the scent of your fabric softener, which he’d only gotten once when you’d forgotten your jacket in the bar, and he’d been feeling particularly needy.
It’s comforting, familiar despite having never held you this close before. It feels like coming home after a long day. Feels like being greeted by your loved ones at the door. Like a sense of normalcy he didn’t think he’d ever be allowed to have again in this life.
He doesn’t remember Edward’s words to him just before he got here.
-
The two of you walk back to Obscuary together, hand in ungloved hand as you lead Rui along the path. You explain that although the curse has been cured, he will still keep all the excess energy until he runs out, but he will gradually be able to start sleeping and the like.
He squeezes your hand gently, like he has a dozen times already during the walk back from Mortkraken. You squeeze back, like you have a dozen times after, your thumb stroking the back of his hand.
You don’t let go even as you’re opening the door to the mansion.
“I guess all those tests really were worth it in the end, huh?” you say, smiling back at him.
He begins to question you but stops short when he’s greeted by the sight of his friends at the door, streamers lining the walls, creating a sharp contrast with the gothic furniture. Someone’s even managed to wrangle a party hat on Lyca.
“Is this…real?” is the only thing Rui manages.
He doesn’t notice the look Edward fixes on him as you giggle, “Well, we figured that after everything you went through, this is cause for celebration, no?”
“You’ve been through a lot all this time.” Haku says, clapping a hand on his shoulder. If he notices Rui flinch at the contact he doesn’t mention it.
Rui can’t help but laugh, each breath like a gasp of disbelief, almost startles when he feels his tears on his bare skin when he goes to wipe them, but it’s a genuine happiness he feels. The party feels almost like a haze in the midst of it.
He makes himself a drink alongside Haru and Romeo’s.
Lyca begrudgingly lets himself be convinced to stay still as his hair is ruffled.
You stay latched onto his arm all the while.
Rui steps out into the chill air of Obscuary for a breather. Despite the act he puts up, he doesn’t quite know what to do being in the centre of attention for so long. It’s a little dizzying, so much close contact after so long, but he feels a fullness in chest he doesn’t quite know how to describe.
“Enjoying yourself?” he hears Edward’s voice behind him. He turns to see an enigmatic look on the vampire’s face. Rui doesn’t manage to respond before Edward continues, “No matter. Celebrations can always be held again.”
He disappears back into the mansion to let Rui figure out what he meant by that. You follow him out shortly after, so he doesn’t.
That night, you stay over in his room. Your body pressed against his, only your clothes separating the two of you. Before, it would’ve been too little, too risky. Now it feels like too much in the way.
He toys with the hem of the T-shirt you borrowed from him before you gently guide him under it.
“I didn’t think I’d get to do this, have this ever again…” his voice is barely above a whisper, his words only for you to hear. Your flesh is soft and pliant under his hand when he kneads your belly. You giggle when he pokes your side a little too hard, and he thinks he’d like to hear the sound over and over again.
“You deserve it. You can have it as many times as you want.” you press your forehead against his in response. Your hand running down his chest leaves him feeling breathless. The motions of your hand slow until it rests on his back, your breath slowing and evening out. He doesn’t notice himself matching you as he watches the rise and fall of your stomach, each a reminder that you are alive.
He holds you close, and closer still. He hopes this is real. He hopes he gets to stay here forever.
When he sleeps, he dreams of stars.
I don’t really know what I’m doing, but that’s okay, because I just know that I wanted to feel, and I did. I hope this made you feel too (I hope you enjoyed it).

🎄 MERRY CHRISTMAS 🎄
How will you 🫵 spend your holidays with the boys?
These headcanons are mostly non-Christmas specific activities so everyone can feel included, no matter if you celebrate Christmas or not!!
Credits for the cozy prompts here!
Credits for the gifs here!
Frostheim
Jin
Drinking mulled wine.
It reminds him of when he snuck a sip from his mom's cup – feeling his cheeks warm and his mind get fuzzy. It was worth the light scolding he always received. As he grew up, however, the drink didn't taste as joyous as it used to. The spices held memories that were too painful to touch. Until you shared your cup with him during one Christmas night. And as he took a sip of your wine under your soft gaze, his cheeks warmed, and his mind grew fuzzy once again. But maybe it wasn't the drink's fault.
Tohma
Bundling up and taking a walk.
Granted, he already does it on the daily, but there's a special thing in the air when the year is ending; and the cold is seeping through the thickest of clothes; and you're right there, beside him, with your hand gripping his as if it was your lifeline. He knows he has a lot more resistance to the cold than you, and he enjoys it to the fullest. Seeing you bundled up, almost drowning inside his coats, waddling beside him like a penguin – he loves it. You're so cute. You're lucky he's a gentleman now.
Kaito
Baking cookies.
He thinks there's nothing more romantic than baking sweets with the person he's in love with. Wants to go through all of the cliches with you – putting flour on each other's noses and cheeks, sneaking a taste before it's done, making awfully shaped cookies just for the fun of it... it's the date of his dreams. It's only fair he'll try his best to make something you can't forget either.
Luca
Playing board games.
It reminds him of home. Of late nights with his parents and his brother, playfully arguing over plenty of colorful boards and weird pieces. However, playing games with his family after his brother disappeared became hard. It took him some time to realize he could enjoy it again with you. One night, under the dim lights and to the sound of your laughter and playful bickering, he felt his chest grow warm and his eyes soften as he looked at you, sat right across from him. He felt like he could keep trying again.
Vagastrom
Alan
Taking a long nap.
When was the last time Alan let his guard down? As he curls himself up on his couch, he feels like it must have happened in another lifetime. He focuses on his own breathing and his slow heartbeat – the soft, weighted blanket you had given him protects him from the cold outside, and he catches his own eyelids drooping. He feels comfortable. He feels safe. Before he drifts into a calm sleep, he makes a mental note to gather enough courage to ask you to make him company next time.
Leo
Lighting scented candles.
Self care wasn't exactly a foreign subject for Leo. He knew all there was to know about it. Yet, one thing still remained special whenever winter came around: the holiday themed candles. Gingerbread, nutmeg, peppermint... He pushed every themed candle into your arms whenever you two went shopping during this time of the year. It was his guilty pleasure; one of the few things he actually got excited about. You just have to give in to his whims (and pray you have no allergies).
Sho
Visiting the Christmas market.
Sho can handle crowds easily. Better than you, that's for sure. So you trust him when he invites you to stroll through the market, knowing he'll keep your hand in his as you two look at all the trinkets for sale and all the stall foods. You get each other small gifts – Sho gives you a miniature motorcycle keychain, and you give him a new bandana (which he puts it on his head immediately). As you two walk leisurely, hand in hand, through the busy street, he selfishly wishes he could just stay in this moment forever.
Jabberwock
Haru
Knitting a warm sweater.
He just finds more and more work for himself, even when he tries to relax; as if his body is fueled on responsibilities he creates for himself. If you point it out, Haru will only laugh and say he just wants everyone to have their own matching, ugly sweater. And he's steadfast on his goal. He wants his fingerprints visible when he's creating his very own family. You wearing an ugly sweater he made is just the first step.
Towa
Watching romantic movies.
Is it surprising to know that Towa is probably the biggest Hallmark fan? He could watch a thousand of the same "workaholic woman moves to small town and finds love" movies, and still wouldn't get tired of them. He talks of how he wants to recreate the "airport kiss" scenes, the "kiss under the rain" scenes, and the "kiss in front of an entire city" scenes. You tell him you can't offer him that much, but you can give him a kiss for every godawful movie he forced you to watch. And that's more than enough for him.
Ren
Listening to podcasts.
He doesn't like Christmas. Not surprising, I know. He just thrives in being a hater, and hating Christmas is essential to his persona. He will never admit, however, how much he loves the holiday atmosphere, and how perfect it is to tune into his favorite horror podcasts during the chilly, dark winter. You don't even point out that Halloween was two months ago anymore. You just cozy up next to him, and under fairylights and mistletoes, you get ready to listen to his favorite monster stories.
Sinostra
Taiga
Watching the snow fall.
He feels like the white snow awaken old, softer memories of a time long gone. He lays his head on your lap as you two hide in one of the school building's balconies, observing the snowflakes slowly coat the grass outside. You gently card your fingers through his tousled hair. Maybe he doesn't need to remember anything else if he can keep the memory of this moment in his mind, forever.
Romeo
Wearing warm pajamas.
They're fuzzy, soft to the touch. He can even feel his shoulders sagging as you straighten his pajamas and gently massage his shoulders. No need to yell, no need to fight, no need to worry about things falling apart and through his fingers. He shares his skincare with you in silence, and you accept it, in silence as well. The hum of his air conditioner is enough noise to fill the small, cozy little space you had created for him.
Ritsu
Doing a jigsaw puzzle.
There are no strict rules, no correct way of playing. Just a simple task with a simple goal. For once, he feels like he can be in silence and just properly enjoy your company while you two build some generic scenery together. Ritsu can just be, without the need to prove himself the smartest or the best in order to justify the space he occupies. For two to three hours, it's just you and him and nothing else.
Hotarubi
Subaru
Drinking hot chocolate.
The contrast between the japanese ambiance of Hotarubi and how "western" Christmas feels never fails to amaze Subaru. His favorite part of Christmas, however, isn't the decoration: it's the food. The sweets. He loves to warm his hands with a huge mug of hot chocolate, blushing every time you plop a few more marshmallows in his beverage. You spoil him, shoving every little sweet treat you find in his hands. He promises to eat them all, but only if you always join him in his indulgence.
Haku
Reading a good book.
It's not hard for Haku to have a good day, holiday or not. He just wants to laze around and have you tucked under his arm. That's all there is to it. He looks up from the new book you had just given him as a Christmas gift, only to see you handing him a mug of hot chocolate. He smiles, setting the book and the mug aside, and taps the seat right next to him, effectively trapping you under his arm. If he's being honest, he doesn't really care about christmas, but man, does he love christmas with you.
Zenji
Decorating for the season.
While Subaru usually worries about contrasting decorations, Zenji makes sure to place fairylights in every tatami room as soon as winter comes. He drags you around the dorm, his official helper, while he hangs ribbons and bells and mistletoes in every wall. When you ask him if he's hanging mistletoes on the doorways on purpose though, he looks at you with wide-eyed curiosity – he had no idea what you meant. Was there some tradition he wasn't aware of? Well, you're more than happy to teach him.
Obscuary
Ed
Lazing around
It's hard to break his habits. You do manage to shoo him out of his room after announcing Rui and you would deep clean it, so it could be presentable during the new year. Ed is pretty sure you're scarred for life, but, well, you insisted, right? But it's the holiday time, and his undead heart feels a little bit for you. He invites you to stay at his now pristine room for a while, dragging you into a random, obscure youtube rabbit hole. At least his sheets are all clean.
Rui
Going ice-skating.
Isn't it the perfect date? Being able to show off his glorious skating abilities, all while being your knight in shining armor, ready to catch you if you fall. He loves the angry red of your nose and cheeks and the awe in your face as you look at the way the sun reflects on the ice. Rui can barely keep himself from smooching your face until you were red from his attention, not the cold. He can't wait to take you to a cafe date next.
Lyca
Doing arts and crafts.
He wants to give a gift to Santa, and who are you to say no when Lyca asks you for help? In fact, he wants to give gifts to everyone he knows as well: the blonde gigolo, moth eaten casanova, Harurin, Romi and you, of course. His room becomes a warzone of arts and crafts supplies – there's glitter, glue and colored paper everywhere. But cleaning doesn't even come to his mind as he gives you a cheeky grin, glitter all over his face, as he show you his little craft project for Santa. He'll catch him this year, for sure.
Mortkranken
Yuri
Listening to cozy playlists.
Holiday spirit is the one Yuri blames when he allows you to control the aux cord. He's so generous, only demanding that every song must be instrumental. His ears perk up while he works on his papers and you put some etheral music to play. Plastic Platina, you call it. He huffs. What a silly name. He wasn't expecting, however, to inadvertently hum to the repeating rhythm of the song, his work flowing a little more fluidly than he expected. Maybe he can give things other than classic a try. But only sometimes.
Jiro
Lounging by the fireplace.
His body feels a little cold most of the time. It's a common ailment of his after he had woken up from his coma. During winter, therefore, he allows himself to be dragged by your hands as you demand he sits in front of the fireplace. You place a weighted blanket on his shoulders and tuck it snuggly under his feet. You sit beside him, watching the fire crackle and nursing a mug of coffee. He looks at you, body flush against him and he feels his cheeks grow a litte warmer, much to his surprise. Being cold isn't so bad, when he has your company.

I want you to touch me there (Fem!Reader x Rui mizuki)
You gasped, pulling your hand back. What was that? The first feeling was pure terror -- are you going to vanish in pieces? Will your organs dissolve one by one? It was an overwhelming fear.
A chill ran down your back, the notes of your heart pounding so hard you could feel the pulse in your eyes and ears.
You shouldn't have done this.
You're going to die.
Why did you do it?
You fool.
You had come to the Obscuary House to deliver some notes Professor Moby had asked you to give to Ed, but he wasn’t there, nor was Lyca --probably spending time with Subaru. While you wandered through the house, you stumbled upon Rui lying on the couch, his lashes shimmering beautifully under the moonlight filtering through the window. He wasn’t covered, as if he didn’t feel the cold.
Then something lightly caught your attention. Rui wasn’t wearing his gloves. You assumed he must have taken them off before lying down since they were on the floor. At that moment, your mind was still on autopilot—stressed and rushed from your routine as an inspector (?). Without much thought, you placed the notes on a small table nearby, silently picked up the gloves, held his wrist, and slid them onto his bare hands.
“Hm? Honored Student, what are you doing here at this hour…” A strange silence interrupted him mid-sentence, his beautiful rose-colored eyes glimmering as he noticed your hands on his. A horrified expression crossed his face as he instantly withdrew. “Oh no, no no no no no!” Rui began muttering to himself, his face pale with dread as he quickly got up and started inspecting you.
It was in that moment, seeing his terror, that you processed the situation carefully. You were going to die. My goodness, you were really going to die, and not even because of your curse.
Your knees hit the floor, the sound of your heartbeat still ringing in your ears. Rui stood before you at a safe distance, his eyes filled with tears, his hands hovering in the air, unable to touch you. “Oh my God, what have I done? My Lord, what have I done? No, no, no, no, please, no.” His tears dripped past his lips, causing him to choke.
You had never imagined he could make that kind of expression -- it was so unlike the confident and charismatic Rui you knew. Perhaps that was why your fear turned inward; something told you that reacting poorly would hurt his feelings.
You were the fool who touched him without thinking--it wasn’t his fault.
It never would be.
“I’m so sorry… My God, please no, no, no,” Rui repeated, his denials a mantra. “No, not this time. Just this once, please…” He didn’t look away, as if afraid that if he did, you would no longer be there.
“Rui, I…”
“No, no, no, no…”
“Your hands are so soft.”
Despite the fear coursing through your veins, your scream and tears stifled, the only thought in your mind was about the soft skin you had touched for the first time. After months of observing him from afar while he wore gloves, it was strangely refreshing to feel the warmth radiating from a simple touch.
You were going to die.
You supposed you’d survive, that all your efforts would pay off with salvation. The thought of what would happen if you became an anomaly had never crossed your mind. But now, standing at death’s door… it seemed strangely calm.
Slowly, your heart began to beat normally, the chill in your back melted away, and all you remembered was the delicate warmth of his wrist.
“No, no, no, I…”
“Rui, can I at least ask for a hug?”
“No, you’re still here. Maybe there’s just a small delay. if we go to the Mortkranken maybe they can do something, some form of preservation, I don’t know. They’ve never helped with this before, but maybe this time it’ll work… It has to work. I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry—it’s all my fault. Please, no, no, no…”
Without much thought, you wrapped your arms around him. Your cheek brushed against his, and it was warm, as expected. Rui tried to push you away gently, muttering “no” in a choked voice. But after a few seconds, he gave in and pulled you into his lap. His cold tears trickled down your neck, and his hands rested on your back.
“I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry.”
“It’s kind of my fault.”
“No, it’s mine. I shouldn’t have taken off my glove. It’s my fault, please don’t go.”
“I put it on without thinking.”
“Don’t go, please. Just this once, not you.”
His words moved you a little, and you affectionately scratched his scalp. He choked again, holding you tighter as if trying to draw all the bad out of you into himself.
“Take me with you. At least this time, let it be like that.”
“What are you two doing in the middle of the living room? And without inviting me... I feel betrayed. Especially me, who is so fond of the transmission of warmth between bodies,” Edward’s voice interrupted. Rui lifted his face from your shoulder to look up. His expression, wrecked with tears, made the vampire step closer and hold Rui’s chin. “Friend, this really doesn’t do your looks any justice.”
“Ed, the MC, she’s going to… because of me…” Rui choked. Edward pulled Rui’s shoulder upright, making him stand as if he already knew just looking at it what happened.
“Look at her. Does she look dead to you? Like a soulless body? Because to me, she looks as alive as on our last mission.”
“I touched her… it must be delayed.”
“If it were delayed, you’ve had time to cry, hug her, and talk to me. I don’t think it’s a delay. Just look closely.”
The room fell silent for a moment. Rui stared at you with hope in his eyes, though he shook his head at himself in denial. Meanwhile, you looked between the two of them, lost. The fear of death had left your body—whether from the comfort of holding him or the fact that you didn’t feel anything different, aside from the chill of his tears on your neck.
“She’s fine. And that’s the only concerning part.”
“How?”
“There are many reasons. She could have turned into a zombie, or you broke the curse’s hold on her, or maybe it simply didn’t affect her. I’d wager the first and last are the most likely.”
“But how wouldn’t it affect me?”
“I don’t know. Your power amplifies the Stigma in us ghouls; maybe it neutralizes against as well.”
Now that you thought about it, when Jin gave orders while holding your hand, it didn’t affect you directly.
“Neutralizes…?”
You stood for a moment, approaching Rui, who recoiled, but the vampire beside him kept him from stepping back too far. Gently, you touched Rui’s cheek, making him shut his eyes tightly.
“I didn’t know you could act shy like this, Rui it’s a charm.”
That comment made the blonde furrow his brows, and you smiled. Carefully and hesitantly, Rui placed one of his bare hands on your cheek. He played with his fingers on your soft skin, tears falling one by one, soaking his face anew.
“Can I join this exchange of touches, or is it personal?”
“Do you want one of your arms to fall off?”
“How jealous.”

Lighter always, always, wears his sunglasses no matter what time of the day is, even if it night. Of course it helps him to keep his "cool stoic" guy persona, I kinda think that it works as a barrier between his cool persona and his more...sincere persona? I'm not saying that his pretending to be cool, HE IS COOL AFTER ALL, but let imagine a situation where you're hanging out with him.
You decide to take his sunglasses off, to maybe try them out or just to play and mess around with him when you notice his beautiful eyes. Since he always wears his sunglasses around you and the others gang member you don't usually get to see his eyes all that usually, you only saw glimpse of them. You stare a little, Lighter doesn't understand your staring until he's self-aware that he doesn't have his sunglasses on, he didn't realize that you took them from him cause he let his guard down around you. He tries to keep it cool as always but you can see how he's not sure to where look at, he wants to keep eye contact with you but oh it's so hard, you're so pretty and so close to him right now, he wants to look like he doesn't care but oh he cares so much about you, everything.
Blushing a little, he asks you if there was anything wrong, you simply reply that he has such beautiful eyes with such a honesty that made Lighter's face turn red in a few seconds. Without the protection of his sunglasses, he uses his hand to cover half of his face and look away, he probably would say with a scoff "I know." but now, in all his vulnerability he replies a "Thanks..." Muffled by his hand, while his face turns even more red by the seconds.
Please don't tease him, he might actually drop dead.

will you write more yandere tdb?
I think so, probably will.
I'm gonna be honest, I'm losing a lot of motivation because I'm really getting little to no feedback on my stuff. I would rather get like 5 likes and 5 comments or reblogs with tags, than a lot of likes and no comments.
And when I do get an ask or a comment, it's only people requesting stuff or asking for more :') I don't mind my friends asking for more chapters or more headcanons, but when strangers do it, it's disheartening. I wish people would talk to me for more than just asking for more posts.
Anyway, I might write some stuff but I probably will close requests for a while. Gonna write for myself for now.

lighter x reader, established relationship, just pure fluff n domestic shit
thinking about lighter who never really thought about settling down, because you can't really miss what you've never had. he could understand the appeal in theory, but a physical 'home' never really felt like something lacking from his life. which is probably why the spare key to your small house felt so foreign in his pocket. he stayed there every time the sons of calydon were in town so he might as well have the key, you had said. besides, it was a symbol that he was welcome any time. your relationship was past the point of invitations.
the first time he came back, he almost felt like an intruder while unlocking the door. but instantly, the familiar smell of you hit him, mixed with the smell of cooking, and the interior that looked exactly as it had when he had left, and he felt at ease. when he went into the kitchen, you looked over your shoulder at him from the stove, that familiar loving spark in your eyes.
"welcome home!"
you were, at least in part, joking, and lighter knew it. but the warmth that filled him at the words hit him as hard as if it were steeltusk.
home. shit, he got it now.
a lopsided grin spread across his face as he made his way over to you, strong arms wrapping around your waist as you continued cooking.
"you're in luck, i'm making more than one portion."
lighter couldn't help but smile at the way the two of you automatically fell into the rhythm of a daily life. no need for grand reunions - he came back, and you were making enough food for two, and it was comfortable and safe and home.
"mmm," he buried his face into the crook of your neck, not even thinking to be embarrassed that you could probably feel how wide he was grinning, "lucky indeed."
perhaps im manifesting lighter coming home with this. or perhaps i just love him a lot. perhaps both. wc: 315

characters: sakura haruka x gn!reader content: fluff a/n: methinks he doesn’t like to ask for it but he lowkey really enjoys listening to you talk so pls do yap to him abt wtv (he might start tweaking if u don’t) ≈ 800 wc
It’s peaceful, blissfully cold, and you’re soundly sleeping when you start to notice two things; something is vibrating, and it’s in the middle of the night.
Well, you assume it’s in the middle of the night since it’s still dark out and no trace of daylight is present at the moment. Not like you can think of anything else either, since you had just been woken up by the former of those aforementioned details.
Groggily and very much grumpily, your hand blindly searches for the source of the vibrating object which you had felt somewhere on the back of your thigh. Snippets of last night appear in your foggy mind, a small reminder of how you had accidentally fallen asleep while mindlessly scrolling through your phone before bed.
Finally managing to get the device in your hand, a low curse escapes from you as the beaming screen blinds your bleary eyes.
‘sakura <3’, the name on the screen reads.
Your eyebrows furrow, confusion evident on your face but you slide a thumb across the screen to answer the call anyway. “Sakura…?”
Across the static line between you two, Sakura closes his eyes as he relishes in the sound of your voice, albeit a little raspy from sleep. Too lost in the familiarity of it, he almost forgets that he hasn’t replied yet.
“Ah - hey...” he greets, slightly embarrassed that he doesn’t have anything thought up to say.
Sakura is by no means a frequent caller nor a texter— heck, he barely even touches the damn device he’s holding in his hand right now. But it’s past midnight. His body is tired, his mind can hardly keep up with how much he’s been thinking of you, and the next thing he knows, his fingers were already pulling up the number to your contact.
You’re no different than him, of course. Even in your sleepy haze, you can’t stop the onslaught of fluttering butterflies in your stomach just as his voice enters your ears, which unknowingly elicits a sigh from you, quiet and dreamy.
“Is everything alright? You never really contacted me unless it’s something important,” you ask worriedly, turning in bed as you try to get comfortable again under your blanket.
“’m fine, nothin’s wrong.”
“Oh, okay…” You trail off, unsure. “Uhm, is there anything you wanted to talk about?”
From where he’s sitting on the lone mattress in his home, blankets haphazardly tossed aside, Sakura taps his index finger repeatedly out of nervous tension. He feels stupid now; stupidly guilty that he had woken you up from your much needed slumber for - what?
What was he planning to say anyway? That this measly phone call was done out of pure impulse? That he had been kept awake all night because the only way he could fall asleep is when you’re there beside him? And that he’s been missing you all day?
He almost punched himself at how humiliatingly needy and deprived that sounds.
“No,” he opts instead, clenching his teeth as he reminds himself to ask any of his seniors for some good beating sparring tomorrow. Kaji, or Hiragi, preferably. Maybe then he could get this idiocy and cringiness punched out of him.
The line goes silent for a few moments. “Then why are you—” Your eyebrows furrow before realization sets in, a soft smile growing on your face. Blankets pulled up to your chin, you lay on your side as you let your phone get sandwiched between your cheek and the pillow.
“Actually, you wanna know what happened earlier today?”
Your boyfriend perks up at that, silvery and golden orbs gleaming in the dark room. He hums in affirmation, and that’s all you need before you start telling him about your day; all the littlest and most random things you found, all the people you’ve met, everything and nothing. Your voice, mellow and soothing, courses through him like a wave gently lapping up the shore, harmonious in its ebbing tide.
Aside from the few replies of acknowledgment, Sakura listens, listens and just listens. He’s carving a special place for your voice at the very front of his mind. Every rise and drop, every lilted word he could get. Like an anchor deep in the bottom of the sea, you ground him from drifting away to that bottomless pit he was once in back then.
It’s not until you stop talking for a second that he realizes he’s been focusing too much on the sound instead of comprehending what you’ve been saying, and you immediately catch on to that. You gently call out to him, and Sakura has to hold in the urge to shy away into the collar of his shirt from how affectionate and nice his name sounds on your lips.
“Sakura?”
“W-what?” He flushes red, though he’s glad that you’re not there to see it.
You bite down on your bottom lip, lightly chuckling in endearment. “Nothing, I just…”
A beat of silence passes.
“I love you, yeah?”
Yup, Sakura is a goner now (if not already).
told yall i’m a sakura girlie heh (< said the person who wrote for some other guy first before her top fave)

Tokyo Debunker x Reader: Food Delivery Headcanons
2nd person, sfw, various characters make sure reader is fed after learning about their less than stellar eating habits (this is written from the perspective of someone who forgets to eat so it will be biased towards that interpretation)
Haru: You are now one of the critters under his care- he would prefer to personally make sure you are fed but will also send Ren or Towa to deliver your meals when he is too busy. He especially enjoys having you over for meals at the Jabberwock dorm because you can (help him babysit--) get some animal therapy while you eat. The stuff he brings you is basic but homemade and good on the go- sandwiches, onigiri, waffles. If he finds out you missed a meal he scolds you for not paying attention to your health and does a lot of ranting about how important it is to eat so you have the energy to go about your day. He always has snacks on him so if you are in the middle of the day and feel yourself suddenly becoming lethargic, he is a good person to bump into. Has mixed up your people food with animal food before-- oopsie daisy. "Dont'cha worry! I have them all labeled now, see?", the kind of guy to have no sense of 'indirect kiss' and will fully share food, utensils, and straws with you. Kaito lets out an ungodly shriek the first time he sees Haru pass you his water bottle and you take a drink without blinking.
Yuri: In disbelief at first, "What? You just, don't eat?" he can't judge seeing as he also skips meals/eats poorly but that's different! He is too busy with his research to spend time with something as trivial as food. But you are one of his patients and he isn't going to allow his patient to decline over something so trivial. Floods your phone with texts three times a day reminding you to eat and refusing to let up until you confirm that you have/are eating. If you lie to him about it and he finds out, he will start demanding pictures. Ironically this means his own eating habits also improve because reminding YOU reminds him (or rather, he complains about it to Jiro who goes "oh yeah" and reheats him some pasta or something). Yuri is now fully incentivized to give you surprise checkups whenever he sees you, pulling you aside in the hallway to bark out questions "Are you tired? How much water have you had today? You are down 200 calories from where you SHOULD be at 1pm."
Sho and Hyde: These two are a pair because Sho only learns about your habits from Hyde, who is half-concerned and half "lol the honor student is eating soup for the 6th day in a row". After hearing this, Sho can't look at you without feeling the compulsion to fill you up like he's a grandma who survived a famine by eating leather shoes. You can't just eat soup- your diet won't be balanced. You need more meat on your bones, you need more protein to grow and retain muscle. You aren't processing your vitamins you need more fat in your diet. It annoys him more than Leo. When Hyde decides to bother his sweet baby brother, Sho puts him to work delivering food to you. "I bet that idiot hasn't even had lunch yet. Why don't you try being a respectable teacher for once and do something?". Bonus points, because of your habits Hyde takes to 'rewarding' students in class for answering questions by throwing packets of food at them (think granola bars, fruit gummies, etc).
Rui: At first he thought it would be romantic. Coming to your side with food, your surprise and gratitude at how considerate he is. He quickly stopped being sappy and started being concerned. "I know a good place for a romantic meal! Unless you have somewhere else you want to go?<3 huh? you already ate? It's 7am when could you have eate- what the fuck are you doing up at 4am!?" Ed is not helpful. "Oh do humans need to eat everyday? Ah...such a delicate species you a-COUGHCOUGHCOU--". But by fussing over you he realizes how bad he is at taking care of himself- sure a ghoul is more durable than a human and can go a while without feeling the effects of hunger but that doesn't mean he should neglect his health. He has taken to making little bentos at his bar for himself and you- using lots of flower and heart shaped cutters. The meals are small and modest but it gives the perfect energy boost you need to get through evening missions.

*ೃ༄ DOWN FOR THE COUNT!
ft. Sakura Haruka, Suo Hayato, Umemiya Hajime, Hiragi Toma, and Kaji Ren
… moments in which they realized they’re utterly whipped for you (2.6k wc)
Cw) gn!reader, uhh umemiya’s bit is corny but he’s lowkey a corny guy, tbh i got stumped with suo’s part sorry if that’s evident, profanity in kaji’s part, spar my head i haven’t written in a minute
SAKURA
“It’s getting late… I think I should get going before it’s dark.”
You had spent the day off with a few of the Furin first years, which included Nirei, Suo, and your boyfriend, Sakura. You didn’t realize how much fun you were having until you checked the time, almost reading past your curfew.
Sakura frowned, and Suo was quick to notice. He shamelessly pushed him closer towards you with his signature smile, making Nirei tilt his head a bit.
“Now now, no need to get so sorrow. You’ll see each other again soon!”
You quirked a brow at the one-eyed boy’s antics, wondering what he was up to this time. From the corner of your eye, you could see Sakura’s face growing redder and redder, something you’ve grown used to overtime.
“Yeah, I’m seeing him tomorrow or the day after,” you informed, a skeptical tone lacing your voice. “What are you getting at this time, Suo?”
He merely stood still and smiled as uttered the sentence that was bound to break Sakura.
“Don’t lovers bid each other farewell with a goodbye kiss?”
Ah, so that’s what that was.
Steam emitted from Sakura’s ears. On the other hand, you seemed unphased. He had a point, wasn’t that an unspoken rule? It wasn’t like you and Sakura hadn't kissed before, but whenever you did, it was always in private.
However, Suo seemed eager to know whether or not Sakura had the balls to kiss you in public, more eager than you for whatever reason.
“I mean, I don’t have a problem with it,” you replied shyly. “Do you, Sakura?”
It took all he had to form a coherent sentence. “No—! But why do you guys have to be here?!” he yelled.
“Well we wanna say bye too. Right, Nirei?”
The blonde nodded his head hastily. He always saw you as a friend too, and not just an extension of Sakura. Although, he felt bad for Sakura’s flustered state right now.
“Well then, I’ll see you guys later,” you waved at the two before turning to your boyfriend. “And you…”
If his cheeks could get any redder, they would. As you slowly leaned in for a kiss, he could see Suo’s sly smirk from the corner of his eye, as well as Nirei’s baffled face. Your face was getting closer and closer, eyes closed and lips parted, and all he could do was…
“Woah! There you go, Sakura,” Suo cheered.
His body acted faster than his mind, and before he knew it he was cupping your face gently as his lips moved against yours. There was no telling what came over him— he just went for it.
You pulled away, both breathless and flabbergasted. “I… I didn’t think you’d be so into it,” you stammered.
He looked away in embarrassment. “You wanted a kiss, right? So that’s what I gave…”
Everyone, including you, looked at him with cheeky grins.
“…you,” he finished, brows furrowing at the realization he’s the center of attention. “What’s everyone’s problem?!”
“Oh nothing,” Suo smiled. “It just seems you’re head over heels, that’s all.”
He didn’t reply, only watching as you waved everyone goodbye and headed home. After all, there was no point in denying something that was true.
HIRAGI
“Here, take this.”
”But it’s the last one?”
”I can always buy more, y’know?” Hiragi insisted, still holding the last of his stomach medicine out to you. “Besides, all you're gonna do is complain about how much it hurts till you get home.”
You hesitantly took the small box from your boyfriend’s hand, looking back up at him with a concerned glance. “You sure?”
”I’m positive,” he assured.
Reluctantly, you took the last dissolvable pill, throwing the now empty box into a nearby recycling bin. It worked as fast as Hiragi said it would. In an instant, your stomach stopped twisting and turning, and you no longer felt like you were being torn apart from the inside.
Hiragi watched from beside you, noticing your pained expression shifting into one of relief. He couldn’t help but let a small smile creep upon his lips. He knew better than anyone how bothersome stomach pains could be, so when you expressed how much yours ached, he felt the need to give up the last of his medicine— something he probably wouldn’t do so easily for anyone else.
“Thanks, Toma,” you said gratefully, hands tucked away in your pockets anxiously. It was until then you realized you’ve been forgetting something.
“Oh shit,” you muttered. “I forgot about these…”
You pulled out another pack of Hiragi’s stomach medicine. It was still wrapped, telling him you recently bought it. “I meant to give this to you earlier, but I was in so much pain that it slipped my mind.”
He examined the small box you held out to him, eyes wider than usual and mouth agape.
“You really didn’t have to, y’know?”
You scratched the back of your head. “Well, you told me yesterday you were running low. So when I saw it in stock, I figured I’d get it for you just in case. And, well, it’s a good thing I did, huh?”
He felt something flutter in his stomach, something he’s still not used to feeling around you. He gently took the medicine from your hands and unwrapped it immediately.
“Already!?” you yelped, watching as your boyfriend gulped down two of the dissolvable pills.
He chuckled sheepishly. Despite the aid to his stomach, the feeling wouldn’t go away. He knew now that they were butterflies, and no amount of stomach relief could kill them. At least, not while you’re around.
“What am I going to do with you…” he sighed.
Who knew that the tough, hardheaded Hiragi could be taken down by a couple of butterflies?
UMEMIYA
You could still recall the surprise you felt when you entered Umemiya’s room for the first time. It wasn’t its neatness— no. You figured Umemiya kept his room clean out of respect for his caretakers in the orphanage. It also wasn’t the wall full of photos that held memories of him, his friends, and even you.
No, none of that was a surprise to you.
It was the overflowing bookshelf against the widest wall that caught you off guard.
”I knew you were fond of a good book here and there,” you started as your widened eyes scanned the various titles that peeped out the shelf. “But this… this looks like it came straight from a library, Hajime.” you said in awe.
He gave you the go ahead to check it out, even pointing to the ladder tucked away in the corner of the room in case you wanted to reach the very top shelf— which even he couldn’t reach without an extra step. You gave him a small thanks as he flopped down onto his bed, turning his head to admire your moving frame.
”Oh?” you muttered, catching sight of a familiar spine. “Woah, you even have my favorite book,” you spoke, a hint of excitement lacing your tone.
”Hm?” he hummed, sitting up to catch a better glimpse of the book you held.
”This one! It’s my favorite, have you read it yet?” you inquired, wanting to ask if he’s read every book on that shelf for that matter. You were too fixated on rereading the synopsis on the back cover to notice your boyfriend was now standing beside you.
His eyes scanned the synopsis, not finding it familiar. “I think this is one of the one’s I’ve been meaning to read…” he said quietly, both speaking to you and himself.
You turned to face him, smiling at the focussed look plastered across his face. God, if only he knew how pretty he looked in the warm lighting of his room, you thought.
”Why don’t we read it?”
”But there’s only one copy…?”
”I meant together.”
Your words replayed in his head. You wanted to read the book with him… together… at the same time. ‘How would that go?’ he thought. He assumed you’d either be next to him, you’d hold one half of the book open while he held the other. He’d turn the page once you were both finished reading it, and maybe you’d lean your head on his shoulder and…
His face turned beet red as his mind conjured up all sorts of scenarios. No matter how he imagined it, it was always so… innocently intimate. You always looked adorable in his peripheral vision, and your presence alone warmed him more than the thick comforter you both sat under.
He didn’t realize he was staring until you waved your hand in front of his face.
”Earth to Hajime? Helloooo~?”
He stumbled back a bit in surprise, before eventually coming back to his senses. “Sorry! Sorry! I was just…”
”Staring at me for a minute straight?”
“Yes! No! Kinda?” he stumbled over his words, something you thought was a little unusual for him. “It’s just…”
You quirked a brow, both curious and nervous for what he has to say. It couldn’t be bad— considering how red in the face he was right now. Of course, that didn’t stop your stomach from doing backflips.
”I love you,” he blurted.
“I love you too,” you tilted your head, was that it? It was sweet, but it wasn’t like he never said it; what made him so nervous to say it this time?
“No, I don’t just love you…” his voice trailed off, and he took both your hands in his. The book you were previously holding hit the ground with a quiet ‘thud,’ and your lips parted in surprise.
”I’m in love with you, Y/n.” he confessed. “I would do anything you asked me to— anything. And if you wanna read this book together, then that’s what we’ll do.”
It was safe to say reading together became a regular thing for you two after that.
SUO
“You always sleep like that.”
Suo peered up at you with a quirked brow. “Hm? Like what?”
“Like that,” you gestured to his figure. He laid on his back, arms resting over his stomach and hands placed atop each other as if he were ready to be placed in a casket. “Are you sure you’re not a vampire?”
“Oh? Are you questioning my humanity now?” he teased, sitting up from the mattress to better engage in conversation.
You rolled your eyes, ignoring his comment and thinking back to your original train of thought.
Suo’s never cuddled with you.
The first time you shared a bed with the boy, you thought he was just stiff, not wanting to push any boundaries you may have had. Instead of questioning it, you opted to snuggle into his side for the night. Though you were a little disappointed to find him in the same state he fell asleep in when the sun rose, you never mentioned it.
That was until it happened again, and again, and again…
“Do you hate cuddling?”
His tired eye widened a bit in surprise, “What?”
“You sleep the same way every night… and you never cuddle. Are those two things related at all?”
Your words would’ve sounded harsh if it weren’t for your soft tone. You weren’t mad at him, only curious. What reason did he have for not wrapping an arm around you when you were lying right next to him? Don’t most couples do that when they sleep in the same bed, no matter how they sleep?
“I sleep like this out of habit. I’m sorry, love.” he spoke, voice soft and apologetic. “If you wanna cuddle tonight, I can try.”
“Please?”
He hummed, patting the spot next to him for you to scoot over, which you gladly did. You both laid back down, arms loosely wrapping around each other as you buried your face into his chest.
His scent was stronger this close up, something that soothed you greatly. You could tell he wasn’t used to this, and a small part of you felt bad for making ditch something he was adjusted to.
“Sorry for—“
“You don’t have anything to be sorry for,” he reassured. “I should be the one saying sorry. I didn’t realize how selfish I was being.”
You pulled away from his chest to look up at him, “Selfish?” you laughed. “You weren’t selfish, you were just used to something else.”
“Mmm, I suppose,” he whispered, gently pushing your head back on his chest. “But I could definitely get used to this.”
You thought he planted your head back on his chest for the comforting feeling, which was true to a degree. But his main motive for keeping you from seeing his face was so you couldn’t see the blush that crept up to his cheeks.
Yeah, he wouldn’t mind getting used to anything else as long as it were with you.
KAJI
Kaji was never fond of having his possessions tampered with.
For example, his precious headphones. They were a gift from Hiragi to keep him tamed when needed. Since the day he’s received them, he’s been incredibly selective with who can lay a finger on them.
In all fairness, he had a right to do so. For one, they were a gift. Second, he actually needs them. To those who don’t know him, he may come off as possessive. But in reality, he’s just being protective.
His clothes on the other hand… yeah, those were a different story.
Having so little clothes, he’s careful to keep them all organized throughout the week. So when he notices one of his hoodies is missing…
“Where the hell did it go?” he grumbled under his breath, scouring through his wardrobe in search of his missing hoodie.
It was nowhere to be found. Not on the hangers, not on the shelves, not misplaced under a pair of pants, nowhere. His brows furrowed tightly in annoyance, he could’ve sworn it was there yesterday…
“Kaji? You okay over there?” your voice called from his bedroom doorway.
Ah, he thought. In the midst of his dilemma, he forgot that you were supposed to be coming over today. He took a deep breath and closed his closet, turning around to face you.
“One of my hoodies went missing, have you seen it any…” he went quiet, eyeing you up and down.
So that’s where it went.
“You mean this one?” you said, gesturing to the soft hoodie that clung to your torso.
“Yeah, that’s the one.”
“My bad…”
If he was being honest, he thought he’d be pissed if he found out you were the one who took it. That’s how he’d react if it were anyone else, right? But as he stared at his hoodie that you were wearing, he couldn’t feel an ounce of anger in him.
His cheeks turned red before he could notice, and he was too awestruck to utter another word. Seriously, shouldn’t he be mad? He thought he should be, but he couldn’t.
You noticed his dumbfounded face from across the room, unsure of what he was trying to express. “Sorry, Kaji. Did you want it back?”
“No—! You can…” his voice trailed off, finding his own thoughts to be unbelievable.
“Keep it,” he finished.
“Really?” you beamed.
“Yes really… Now hurry up and pick another before I change my mind.”
You rushed over to him gleefully, embracing him in a tight hug. “You’re the best!”
He hugged back, burying his reddened face into the crook of your neck. You let him go to search through his closet, looking for an extra hoodie to take for keeping. As he watched you sort through each one, only one thought crossed his mind.
‘Who let this happen to me…?’

let your guard down.
synopsis: you fall asleep around him
characters: sakura, suo, kaji, umemiya, hiragi, togame
warning/s: no dialogue, gender neutral,

SAKURA freezes in his seat as the weight of your head rests on his shoulders, he looks like a startled cat, with his shoulders tense and his mismatched eyes wide as he looks over at you with a curious expression. you felt comfortable enough to let your guard down? around someone like him? he looks around, seeing if anyone was looking at the two of you, when he found no eyes on the two of you, he hesitantly places a soft peck on your forehead, before he turns his head quickly to the side, chin on his hand as he pretends that his face isn’t a bright red and his lips aren’t tingling from kissing your forehead. the human touch feels especially warm when it comes from you.
SUO hums as he feels your cheek squish against the side of his arms, he looks to you and sees your pretty eyes in a close, mouth slightly opened and suo had half a mind to put his finger in just to jolt you awake and tease you. but he doesn’t. suo carefully takes a hold of your head and places it carefully on his lap, taking off his furin coat and placing it over your body, his hand coming to the side of your arm, rubbing comforting circles on your skin as he continues the conversation he has with his peers.
KAJI jolted as he felt your head hit his shoulder, he almost didn’t want to look away from the train window, not wanting to confirm if it was you on his shoulder. who else would it be? the two of you were about to go home, riding the last train like you usually do with kaji always taking the window side, he finally looks at you, taking out the sucker in his mouth as he calls your name out softly, not hearing a response, he sighs. kaji switches his playlist to one with white noise as he removes his headphones and slots it on your head, providing you with better sleep. kaji tries to keep looking at the window but evidently gets distracted with how cute you were wearing his headphones.
UMEMIYA suddenly stops his yapping about his garden once he realizes there was no response from you. he looks over his shoulder and swoons at the sight of your body curled carefully on the bench, his representative jacket was draped like a blanket on your body and soft snores were escaping your lips. umemiya smiles so wide that he was almost laughing as he quickly takes out his phone and snaps so many pictures of you in different angles before he reviews them and decides on the one he deems worthy of becoming his lock screen. he laughs before pressing a kiss on your cheek and tending back to his little garden.
HIRAGI knew before you even did that you were on the brink of falling asleep. he was prepared to be the chest you slept on as you watched the stars. hiragi tried to pay attention to where you were pointing but evidently ended up looking at the focused yet sleepy look on your face. he hums, asking you more about the constellation that you were currently pointing at, you put your finger down and explained the lore behind it, he nods intently, looking at the constellation before he realizes your voice was zoning out. he was careful to not chuckle out loud, fearing that the vibrations of his chest would wake you up. so with a strong arm, he pulls you closer, placing a kiss on your forehead then cheek, silently enjoying the moment that the two of you had.
TOGAME raises the bottle of ramune soda to his lips and sighs after swallowing the first sip. he fixes your figure on his lap as he rests his head on your shoulder. you shudder slightly as you flipped the page of the book you were reading, the sun was warm and the surroundings were airy as the two of you had a date under the tree, on a picnic blanket, within the fields near the shishitoren area. with the way his arms held you so comfortably, you didn’t realize that you were slowly dozing off, the book almost falling from your grasp before you tried to pay attention once more. but with the way your lover held you as if you were the most important thing in the world lulls you into a comfortable sleep. togame only realizes once he finishes his second bottle of ramune that your breathing was deep and the book you were previously reading fell from your grasp. togame carefully picks up the book and bookmarks it before he lays the both of you down, he chuckles as he slowly pokes your puffed up cheek, placing a little kiss on it before he lays you down on his arm and places his sunglasses on your face, providing extra protection as he lets you sleep, following almost immediately after.
