The Gem Salon on Third Avenue is an amazing, casual restaurant with good food and a hot crowed! If you're in New York City you should stop by for an interesting dining experience. Our review: http://vivalifestyles.net/the-gem-saloon-in-murray-hill/

Tell me you've seen more tin foil in a room somewhere else, and I'll say what you're saying is an alternative truth! CHICKENS IN THE YARD is a new play by Paul Kruse at Jack Theatre. (at JACK)

In my selfish and little world bubble of Manhattan, on Gay Pride every year I don't think of a reason to celebrate, because I tend to think gays have conquered so many rights already! So when I saw my roommate putting costume on this morning, all I was thinking was "Oh, my God, the bathroom is a stinky mess!" "Aren't you going to the parade?" "No! But I hope I can't get through Fifth Avenue before the 'mess' starts." I've been to many Pride parades and find them impossible to enjoy: It's too hot out, too crowded, too noisy, and I always felt bad about urinating in my expensive and chic CK undies after waiting on line to use a restaurant bathroom for 45 minutes. (The first time it happened I was so embarrassed, the second time I enjoyed it immensely.) One memorable moment of my Pride experiences was seen Senator Chuck Schumer near Madison Square Park just a few blocks away from where I live chanting "Give it to Pride. I was the first senator to ever participate in a parade and won't be the last." Then later in the day when I took the R train at Madison Square, I saw this sign and asked to take a picture. It was a magical moment: People happily celebrating Gay Pride. (at Madison Square Park)
