kinda cool to think how someone somewhere is having the best day of their life today. someone’s hearing “i love you” for the first time today. someone’s gonna meet the love of their life today. someone’s gonna get the job of their dreams today. it’s someone’s best day today. and guess what binch? tomorrow it could be ur best day so keep going
Hyper Projection Engeki Haikyuu - Start of the Giant
As I mentioned in my curtain call summary (x), Justin did do the SUGAAAAA thing again to Naoki, challenging him to imitate the comedian Egashira 2:50. He’s a comedian that typically appears shirtless with black leggings and tends to use mostly physical humor for shock value.
This is the result. (x)
He even ends the video the way Hiroki used to, by screaming, “I’m NOT doing this again!!!”
Haikyuu!! x Pinoy AU - I’ll always have a special place in my heart for a hometown AU.

Yachi: Sarah G is really amazing! One day, I’ll become a singer just like her!
Tanaka: Oh, will you now?
*Sarah Geronimo, or “Sarah G” is a popular performer in the Philippines
*in this part, Yachi and Yamaguchi are singing “Kailan Mo Ba Mapapansin Ang Aking Lihim” which was used as a theme in one of Sarah G’s movies
Natsu: Big brooother! Daniel Padilla’s pretty good looking, isn’t he!
Hinata’s mind’s Kageyama: “Hey, Hina-tanga.” (A portmanteau of ‘Hinata’ + ‘tanga,’ one of the many ways to say “idiot.”)
Hinata: Ahh… Yeah, he sure is…
*Daniel Padilla is another celebrity. That’s all you have to know about him.
Taketora: WOW! SEXY!
Tanaka: Fuck you, man! (Literally, it means “your fart.”)
Lev: Let’s play!
Tanaka: Sis, you should really put those panties up for retirement. They look gross.

Ukai: Oh, good morning, sir! (“Po” is a word that is added for respect)
Takinoue: Ooh~ Someone got noticed~
Ukai: Turd. (Though “idiot” is also acceptable.)
Takinoue: Babe, a li’l more sugar should do the trick.
Shimada: Okay!
Takeda: Oh dear! Thank you for calling a taxi!
Ukai: No problem.
Takeda: I seem to’ve overslept!
Ukai: Thesefuckersthesignclearlysaysnottoparkalongthedrivewayseriouslykidsthesedays
Saeko: Bruh, calm the fuck down. (Literally meaning “your blood,” or “watch your blood (pressure)”)

*Kargador = (‘karga’ – to carry) a person tasked to lift and transport heavy objects
Daichi: Suga, is this okay?
Suga: Push it in a little more, Daichi~ (This can have two meanings, even in Filipino. *wink*)
THIS IS PURELY JUST A HEADCANON I THOUGH OF SINCE IM A FILIPINO AS WELL AND SADLY ITS NOT CANON
Okay but maybe Iwaizumi would laugh when he watches his friends eat local Filipino street foods and snort because they’re doing everything wrong and messily.
Iwaizumi would probably call Oikawa “Putangkawa”
Oikawa crying because Iwaizumi is yelling at him in a foreign language he doesn’t understand
Iwaizumi angrily muttering to a confused Oikawa how much he hates the brunet for making him fall for Oikawa in Tagalog which would be something like
“Nakakainis ka, leche sana mamatay ka hayop ka kung bakit ba sa dinamirami pa nang tao, ikaw pa talaga ang minahal ko.”
Oikawa surprising Iwaizumi one day by saying “Mahal kita.”
Iwaizumi blushing furiously as Maki and Matssun cheer Oikawa on from behind Iwaizumi.
More Haikyuu xpinoy AU pls :'D (lalo na si Iwaizumi at arm warmers niya ooh seksi! Lmao) p.s. i really loove your art :D
Awww, thank you very much! Receiving encouraging messages like these really brightens my day. ;u; I’ll definitely make more once I’m finished with thesis. Freaking hard to get motivated in this harsh Philippine heat though. (Grabe. Daig pa sa hotness ni Iwa-chan.) Stay hydrated! ;9
-Iwaizumi being half-Filipino (his mom is Filipino and his dad is Japanese) and being able to speak fluent Filipino and English (bonus: the second and first years and sometimes the other third years going to iwaizumi for help in their english subject!!)
-Iwaizumi having a lot and i mean a lot of relatives from his mother’s side! (his younger cousins absolutely adore him!!) Imagine his frustration when the teacher asks them to make a family tree starting from their grandparents from both sides of the family
-Imagine Iwaizumi visiting his family in the Philippines almost every year and coming back to Japan and accidentally speaking to his friends in fast-paced Filipino (”Iwa-chan, speak in Japanese please.” “Right! Sorry.”)
-Iwaizumi bringing home cooked Filipino food to a Seijou christmas party and everyone gets at least two servings
-Iwaizumi being HELLA good at karaoke (Oikawa once saw videos of Iwaizumi’s Christmas parties in the Philippines and now he believes that all Filipinos are inherently good at singing. Iwaizumi gave up on arguing with him.)
basically i am in love with the idea of iwa-chan being half-foreign (especially half-filipino because i may or may not be biased to my home whoops) and these are some headcanons that i thought of with @celestial-descendant !!
Hello! Um, there's this amazing fic series on ao3 called Kuya Hajime. And I was wondering if you could do your own headcanons on a half-Filipino Hajime? Thank you byeeee~
Ohhh, thank you, I’d definitely go check this series after this! Here are some headcanons of mine for half-Filipino Hajime, hope it doesn’t overlap with the fic much! (๑´ڡ`๑)
Helf-Fillipino Iwaizumi Headcanons
(With a little bit of IwaOi)
Iwaizumi’s mother is born and raised in Philippines. Her family moves to Japan for business when she’s in high school and she meets Iwaizumi’s father in college.
Iwaizumi inherits his mother’s skin color and gets picked on in grade school. Oikawa gets furious and declares to the whole class that Iwa got the most beautiful skin color in the world.
Iwaizumi is bilingual and he likes to talk to his mother in Filipino as if they are talking secrets. (Oikawa complains about Iwa keeping secrets from him like this, so Hajime teaches him a bit.)
Iwaizumi’s mother values family a lot and always tells Iwaizumi how important family is, that family would always be there for each other. Iwaizumi takes this to heart and always stays close to his family. He comes home at least twice a month to visit his parents. He also makes phone calls with his mother about every two days regardless of how short it is.
Iwaizumi comes out to his mother before he even tells Oikawa, and cries into his mother’s arms when she tells him again that family would always be there for each other, no matter what.
Iwaizumi loves Christmas SO MUCH! Everyone would think that, between Iwa and Oikawa, Oikawa would be the one going all out on Christmas. They can’t be more wrong. Iwaizumi starts preparing Christmas from September, which he’s heard how his mother did when she was still in Philippines and thought that it was the norm. He learns later that people in Japan don’t do that but doesn’t bother to change this “tradition.”
Also, when Iwaizumi goes all out, he goes ALL OUT! (Oikawa has to physically drags Iwa to the nearest store and spends 30 minutes convince Iwa that it’s wiser to get a 6-feet Christmas tree than to go cut themselves one in the wood.)
(“Seriously, there aren’t even woods in Tokyo, Iwa-chan!”)
pls consider half-filipino iwaizumi who’s fluent in japanese, english and tagalog, and uses it to his advantage
he consistently scores higher than oikawa in english class, and rubs it in his face whenever necessary, because oikawa does better than him at everything else and needs to be put in his place sometimes (although he does admit that he speaks with a slight accent)
when he’s particularly annoyed at oikawa, not only does he call him trashykawa, shittykawa, crappykawa, but basurakawa too (resulting in cries of ”Iwa-chan, don’t insult me in another language!!!” from the offended party)
but also please think about him speaking in tagalog when he wants to keep things secret. think about all the sleepovers, all the times he’s looked over at the futon next to him, softly whispering “mahal kita” against his pillow, knowing that even if it was heard, there’d be no way that oikawa would know that he’d been saying i love you for god knows how long (because not only is oikawa a heavy sleeper, he’s also really fucking oblivious, like god, tooru, are you really that blind?)
