"Such as with the Angry Dice! Its power is determined by a dice roll. Three Luck is not an impossible cost to pay, especially if you rolled high on its power. Rolling a six is practically an 'I win' button."

"Or one of the stronger sigils I've made. The sigil 'All In' summons a copy of the card in all empty spaces on your board, but if one perishes then all copies will follow. Certainly very powerful."

"And funnily enough, some of the more 'powerful' cards I have made aren't even mine!"

"Such as the Ourrollos. I'm sure any Scrybe who has had the serpent find its way into their cards share my feelings of its strength, although it is quite a fun occasion!"

"And speaking of other cards joining the deck list, the Amoebet is certainly the epitome of random chance. Every single thing besides name is random. Ability, health and strength, even cost! If you are lucky, then winning is not hard. Granted, that is a fact of most things~"

[I don't remember the first reason for these next sketches, but some of my friends on our Inscryption discord inspired these. Now, Lux if he was under the different Scrybes!]

[Here is a lore segment in today's art release! I have mentioned before that while Lux's "minions" are in control of the various games in the casino, the building is way too big for only four people to run. So the majority of the workforce is made up of "Staff." The Staff are wooden mannequins wearing a mask similar to the management, but with a blank face. The dark half of the mask still changes with dice rolls, but they can't freely change the image like management.]

[The mannequins, like most of the resources in the casino, are kept in storage where they just show up when needed. The mannequins are inert until one of the management, usually Lux as he is less busy, drops a bit of Void from their gooey body into the open center cavity. The Void will spread throughout the mannequin, making what looks like an inky black heart in the cavity and dark tendrils across the mannequins surface. A single eye will also form within the tendrils, which can move long any surface Void, but usually stays on the face.]

[The mannequin is then part of It and one with the rest of the casino. The Staff aren't sentient in terms of an individual, and are just simple parts of the whole network. Since people are understandably uncomfortable around the staffs natural form, they usually cover up. Sometimes Lux will have a bit of fun, however, especially with problem costumers.]

"The staff are quite helpful in making sure everything run properly! It also makes attending to my lovely customers much easier, the workforce is one of the most important parts of my establishment!"

[Scrybes are rarely made without fellow card makers, and Lux is no exception. I have been toying around with another OC and card game mechanic, and have finished something to show y'all!]

"I'm so happy to meet you all! I hope we all get along very well!"

[I am very happy with Melody, I think she is very neat. Melody's pronouns are She/Her, and she is the Scrybe of Harmony. She can inscrybe music into cards whenever she sings/hums along with the tune. Her cards are various instruments, and at the end of your turn they will generate "Rhythm." Each card makes Rhythm equal to the number cards in play with the same suit/tribe, including itself. The suits are the various genres of music, with instruments that play those genres being on the card.]

[The side deck cards, the Lone Notes, cost zero rhythm. They generate one rhythm at the end of the turn, and their sigil "Joining the Song" makes them count as every genre when other cards are making rhythm.]

[She frequently likes to party and have fun, and so she likes to spend a lot of time in the Luxy Casino. While the establishment is mainly meant for gambling, it also acts like a dance club most nights. Because of her love of fun, she gets along quite well with Lux and will often drag him away from work to go out somewhere. Lux does not complain."

"Ahh, Harmony. She is a lovely woman who I definitely consider a very close friend. Her love and passion are intoxicating to be around and it is almost impossible not to get swept along in the vibe. And she seems quite fond of my establishment, spending many nights either partying or playing the games."

"Its odd, considering our natures. Chance is often referred to as randomness, chaos in its most pure form. While Harmony is order, things coming together in measured perfection. And yet I can't help but feel drawn to her. I can't express the gratitude of how much she has given me, and how much I value her as a friend."

[And there it is! This blog is still mainly for my main OC and pseudo sona, but Harmony will be sticking around and showing up occasionally. She is also available for asks or rp. I also have a third oc I am working on adding to my little roster here, so be on the lookout!]

Some lore on Lux!

Hello everyone! Today, I’m gonna be just posting some general lore and stuff about my Scrybe and his friends and stuff. Bit since its gonna be a bit wordy it’s all below the break.

Before that, I have a question. Would you guys prefer it if I made a blog specifically for Lux and Inscryption stuff? This is just kinda the general blog I made when joining tumblr, so I’ve just been using it. I want to be more engaged here, so would you prefer it if it was all in one place? Idk, just give feedback below if you want. Thanks to those who do!
