     Ah, how polite. Taking time out of her oh so busy schedule to help the team out! What a kind and compassionate young goddess she is! Truly a self sacrificial little angel. She ‘s definitely excited about it. More fans means more attention and more respect and more love and more appreciation and, and... Well more of lots of good things.

“yeah, all right,” moriko doesn’t really discourage shiki’s… thoughts in regards to her ‘powers’ and ‘divine ability’, but she doesn’t believe it either. “what’s our luck today, oyama?”

“Our luck? Skeptic, your luck is different from mine. Though fate favors you on this day. You’re going to realize you’re capable of more than you believed today. Isn’t that lovely? You’re welcome! Now here, to make sure it happens to you!”

     Today’s gift? A handmade dream-catcher, in vibrant orange and yellow. Red glitter was added for a flame-like effect. It was clear that there was quite a bit of work involved in its creation. She offers it out to her teammate as if it were made of pure gold. Holding it much more delicately then she would’ve had to, the smile on her face gives away her pride in the finished product.

“Don’t even need to thank me! Just trust in me a little more, eh?~”

“Ehhhhh?! You’re a magical girl??! Like one of those with the frills and those cute stuff??!” And yes, this boy has watched way too many anime this month. On his computer, by the way.

     He was close enough, wasn’t he? Acknowledging her gifts was more than enough for her smile to simply light up the room! Sweet recognition... ah, how lovely it feels! Boys don’t usually approach her like this, or at all honestly. She ought to show her appreciation!

“You’re on the right track, stranger! I ought to bestow upon you a new name. One worthy of your kindness! Hmmm... May I ask you your Sun zodiac sign? Your birthday? I’ll gladly share with you a glimpse at your future!”

     An idea or two popped into her head in about .2 seconds on this one. His mannerisms, his height. There’s only one sort of name befitting of such a person. It’d be as grand as the one it’s made for. She’d surely have to look out for this first year in the future. Potential is all but radiating off of him in her eyes.

“ You, are a tower of a person. Strong, sturdy.... Yes, a grand tower. No... hm... Aha!! You’re “Zealous Tower” now. Very good. Your enthusiasm is second to none. With that, practice, and a little luck, I foresee you going very far in the future!”

     For Nishinoya, Shiki really had to wrack her brain. He already has such a popular nickname. But she can take it a step further. His skills as a libero leave her awestruck. Someone in the same year as herself is so capable and strong. It’s terrifying how fiercely he protects each play, throwing himself so willingly into harm’s way. Hmm… A terrifying protector. There’s only one that comes to mind. A with his bravery and mental strength. 

“I bestow upon you the name “Intrepid Cerberus. It’s fitting, don’t you think?”

Katsumi didn’t get a nickname as quickly as Ren did, though it also didn’t take as long to create as Moriko’s.  There are so many terms that sort of fit the vice captain, but none that did so perfectly. Then one day, out of nowhere, the answer came to her. “White Rose” was to be her name. To Shiki, Katsumi was beautiful, delicate, and pure of heart. And roses are elegant enough for the job. She commemorated this discovery by returning to school the next day with a handmade crown of that flower.

 “You deserve this, White Rose. Wear it with pride.~”

This one came to her pretty instantly, and Shiki still thinks herself a genius because it fits so perfectly in her eyes. Since day one, she’s called her captain “Crystal Halo.” To Shiki, it seemed reflective of many aspects of Ren. Crystal is beautiful and unique, but also cold and sharp. As for a halo, it’s much better than a crown. Crowns are for human royalty, while halos are exclusively for the divine. And her captain is easily deserving of the latter. Also, if one were think about the words together, a crystal halo could be a way to say a chandelier, a symbol of wealth. Sometimes, Shiki is just SO clever.

This one definitely took her awhile to come up with. Batting around lots of different names in her head, she finally settled on “Dazzling Star”. It manages to put into words just how impressive she is to Shiki and she never shuts up about how “bright” Moriko is. Which is in terms of both intellect and how she  shines as a capable and powerful ace. The first time she ever saw Moriko was as a first year watching the team compete, and she commented how stars as blinding as her really have fallen to Earth. Though on occasion she calls her “Dazzling Skeptic” knowing that Moriko doesn’t quite believe everything she says/ does.
